Adrien says, "I still cannot believe Kim did that to you. How could he treat you like nothing?"

   "Adrien, why are you so angry?  I am not your relative you know." Marinette says.

   "Marinette, you are the kindest girl I ever met," Adrien says.

  "Adrien you are nice too," Marinette says.

    Miss Harriet says, "I already do not like this Kim fellow because he is a bad apple."

 Miss Harriet remarks. "Adrien is right, Kim let a wonderful girl go. Kim has no good sense."

    "Miss Lucy and I agree, Adrien is better for you anyway."  Miss Harriet says.

    " I say you give Adrien a chance," Miss Harriet remarks.

    "Miss I agree with what you say, but I cannot force her to date me. " Adrien says.

    "She is not ready to date anyone since that jerk just broke up with her today," Adrien remarks.

    "Adrien, thanks for everything," Marinette says.

    "Sure, you can hug me anytime you like," Adrien says playfully.

    The group hears a noise outside the elevator.  

"Folks, we will try to get you out as soon as we can okay," The man says.

   "Ok," Adrien says.

"What is the rush?  The dog groomer is closed by now anyway." Miss Harriet says.   

"Ok, thanks for letting us know," Marinette says.

   "I have a joke to tell you," Miss Harriet says.

  Here is the joke:
   So there was this man who found a lamp and when he rubbed it a genie came out.  He told the man to use his wishes wisely since he only had three of them. The man thinks, and finally says, I wish to be rich. The genie says wish granted and poof!  The man was rich.

  He owns a boat, a huge house, three cars, and so on.  The genie ask him about his second wish. The man wishes to be on a cruise with his wife. There was a puff of smoke and  Poof!  The man is on a cruise.

   The man waited a week before he gave his third wish since it was the last one.  

The genie came to see him, "Well, what about your final wish, sir ?" The genie ask him.

The man says, " I wish to be irresistible to women."

 The genie says, "Do not say I did not warn you."  
 

There was a puff of smoke and puff the man was turned into a poodle.

 Adrien and Marinette laugh at the funny joke. 

  "You know something?  I am glad we got stuck in this elevator, Marinette. Otherwise, I might never have met you." Adrien says.

   "Well, I am glad I met you too, along with Miss Harriet and her pet," Marinette says.

   "It was nice to meet them too, but ..." Marinette begins.

 The elevator begins to shift again. Miss Harriet does not say a thing about it so as not to scare Marinette again.

  The elevator creaks, the lights glow, and it starts to move again slowly. It does not go up but goes down to the second floor.  It makes a funny noise but stops on this floor. The whole time the doors stay shut,  the lights and music turn off.

    "Does anyone have a flashlight?"  Adrien asks.

    "No, sorry I left mine at home." Miss Stone says.

   "Are you afraid of the dark?" Marinette teases him.

   Marinette pulls out her phone and turns the flashlight app on to see better.  

"Wow, the flashlight on your phone works well," Adrien says.

  "Yes, it sure does," Marinette says.

   "It is about time you got quiet," Miss Stone says now that her dog is not barking.

   Meanwhile with Kim and his new girlfriend...

    "So, is your ex-girlfriend, going to be okay?"  Alix asks.

   "Yes, she will be fine,"  Kim says.

    "Come on now, let us go," Kim says.

      "Okay, right behind you," Alix says.

 Back with the group in the elevator...

   "So when we get out of here what are your plans?"  Adrien asks.

Miss Stone says, " I will reschedule Miss Lucy's groomer appointment and take the stairs next time." 

"Well, I hope my boss will not fire me for being late to work," Adrien says.

    "First, I will not date any more famous sports players. Second, I will have to reschedule my job interview." Marinette says.

   "All our plans seem boring, do not you think?"  Adrien remarks.

    "Yes, I suppose you are right," Marinette says.

  "Adrien, do you have a girlfriend, waiting for you?" Marinette asks.

   "No, at least not yet anyway. " Adrien says.  He thinks I wish you were my girlfriend.

   "Marinette, why did you ask me this?" Adrien asks.

    "Oh, well that is to bad, you are cute after all and..." Marinette says. She gets interrupted.

        Adrien stands closer to Marinette and thinks she smells like cookies. 

    "Adrien, what are you doing?"  Marinette asks.

    "Nothing," Adrien says. He thinks, I want to kiss you.

    "Marinette, why are you so pretty?"  Adrien asks.

    "Adrien, I am sure I have no idea what you are trying to say," Marinette says.

   "I uh,"  Adrien says. He thinks, should I kiss her or not?
     

    Adrien leans in and kisses Marinette. He thinks, I know she does not love me, but I just had to kiss her.

    Marinette pulls away and looks angry.  Adrien feels bad about the kiss, "Marinette, I..."

     "Adrien, how could you? It was my first kiss and I hate you." Marinette blurts out.

    "Marinette, it was my first kiss too," Adrien confesses. He thinks I wanted it to be with you.

   " Do not ever speak to me again," Marinette says angrily. She turns away from him.

      Adrien thinks, why did I kiss her?  Now, she will never speak to me again. 

   "Adrien I did not know you had it in you, haha."  Miss Stone teases him.

   "Marinette why are you so angry? Did not  you kiss him back?"  Miss Stone asks.

    "Yes, but I..." Marinette says. She feels confused.

   Adrien stares at Marinette again and thinks why is she upset when she kissed me back. 

   "Marinette, I wanted you to be my first kiss," Adrien says. 

   Marinette thinks, I liked the kiss, but why?
