So...so...so....to save myself from your hands, here's the update.

The final chapter of this thrilling journey.

Among Vivek's shouts, the trigger was pressed.

"Princess!!"

Vivek's scream echoed the whole dungeon as he closed his eyes hearing the sound of the bullet. Tears fell from his eyes. He lost! He lost his daughter!

But his grimace turned into a frown when he heard Naveen's scream. He slowly opened his eyes, and the sight infront of him shocked him to the core.

There stood Naveen Aggarwal, screaming in pain, clutching his hand.

He looked at his hand to find blood oozing from it.

Seeing this, Vikram rushed to him, tying a cloth around his hand. The bullet had pierced his hand letting the gun fall down.

But how did this happen?

Vivek furrowed his eyebrows and looked around to see something which shocked him so much that he thought he would faint then and there.

There stood The Nandini Murthy, a gun in her hand, her finger on the trigger, aiming at Naveen with her signature smirk lingering on her face.

The guards who were clutching her were standing behind with their hands folded at their chest.

His eyes widened more when the guards who were holding him, made him stand up and opened his hands.

He was free now.

He looked up again on hearing Vikram's shout.

" You bitch!", Vikram shouted and launched at Nandini only to be stopped by a hard punch landing on his face with such an intensity that it made him fall down on the floor with a thud.

He looked up to see who it was and his face colour drained.

There stood none other than The Manik Malhotra with his fist clenched and his muscles taught, huffing in rage and his eyes spitting fire.

But the only question that came to his mind is........how?

Well to answer this, lets dive into the flashback.

Flashback

Commissioner's office

" Okay. Now that we know where she is, lets go and rescue her. ", Arya said and others nodded.

" Wait guys. We can't go in like this. I mean, they are mafia people. Their would be high security. We can't get in. ", the Commissioner said making them realise the danger.

" Don't worry about that. Its all sorted.", Arnav said and everyone looked at him with furrowed  eyebrows.

" What do you mean? How can it be sorted already?", Maddy asked and Arnav grinned.

" Because The Nandini Murthy.......is a freaking genius. ", Arnav said and went into the flashback of when Max reported to them.

Flashback ( He he he...its a past within past 😁) ( Please do refer to Chapter 48)

" Who is it Max?", Arnav finally asked.

" Its quiet shocking Sir. But it is....... Niharika Murthy's brother. Naveen Aggarwal. ", this shocked the three of them and Khushi looked at Arnav who was boiling with rage.

" Sir. There's something else I need to tell you. ", Max said, his voice laced with nervousness. Arnav nodded and gestured him to continue.

" Sir when we went to this mission, some of our men had infiltrated a van which had drug supplies that belonged to Vivek Murthy. When I got to know that there was someone else behind Vivek, I first informed Nandini Ma'am as per your instructions. But then, we didn't know who it was.

Ma'am had asked Jack( the one who infiltrated with his team) to do something and he agreed. But its too risky.", Max said and Arnav noticed some unknown fear in him.

" What is it Max? Tell us.", Khushi asked impatiently.

" Nandini Ma'am asked Jack to frame some of the mafia's workers as detectives and get them caught, so that Vivek's attention will be diverted from Jack and his team members.
After this is done, she asked Jack to eventually replace most of mafia guards with our men.

Jack is on his work now. But the risk is that, if Naveen Aggarwal as we know now, gets to know about detectives in his premises as Jack will make him believe, he will first target Nandini Ma'am. Her life can be in danger.

And the worst thing is, we have now lost contact with our team. So we basically don't know where their base is located. ", he explained and the three people's face paled. Thats when Arnav rushed immediately to make calls to Das and bark orders to increase Nandini's security, and the rest is a history.

Flashback end

" So in this way, most of the guards have been replaced by our men. We can easily sneak in.", Arnav said and everyone nodded in excitement except Manik, who was busy admiring his Shona and feeling proud of her.

" Back to earth lover boy. We need to devise a plan and get going. ", said Cabir, bringing him out of his Nandini land.

He nodded and they discussed the plan.

Some time later.......

Two cars stopped on a deserted dark lane where a van was already parked.

Three men came out of the van to meet the people who stepped out of the cars.

Three men clad in black jackets stepped out of the car and moved towards the van. They settled inside and drove off.

The others including the three who were earlier in the van, settled inside the two cars and followed the van from a distance.

The van parked near SN industries. It was a place at the back side of the building, where there was not much lighting.

The driver looked at the passengers with fear.

" Yo...you need to p..pass through that black door. Then press the r..red button which is hidden behind the fire extinguisher. A door will open in the wall. The p...password is 'JAKARTA0782'. Take the stairs down and you'll be there.", he stammered as the man sitting beside him with a black jacket and black mask, was pointing a gun at his head.

The three men inside the van nodded and stepped out followed by five girls whose hands were tied. They looked like those brought for human trafficking.

Two men pushed the girls forward while the other one tied the driver and threw him in the backseat.

They followed the instructions and Viola! They were standing inside a different world. Yes, it was the mafia world.

Naveen Aggarwal pointed the gun at Nandini without paying any heed to Vivek's pleads.

But when he was busy laughing at Vivek, the guards holding Nandini, opened her hands and handed her the gun.

And she immediately launched on her feet startling Naveen who couldn't understand what happened and

BOOM!

His hand was shot and the gun fell down.

The three men followed by the hostage girls walked through the dark passages. They were met with questioning gazes at few places, but their masks managed to convince them.

They walked forward to finally reach a low door which led to a big dimly-lit hall.

They stepped in, just in time to find Vikram Khanna launching at Nandini like a mad bull.

The man on the front rushed with quick steps, raging with anger, his eyes spitting fire, and landed a punch, straight at Vikram Khanna who fell down on the floor with a thud.

He removed his mask to reveal himself and a wide smile etched on Nandini's face seeing her saviour.

Her love.

Her fiancee.

Her Manik.

Her Monster!

" Dare you call her that again! I'll make sure you open your mouth only for screaming in pain later.", Manik growled and Vikram's face was worth watching. The colour had drained and he had fear lacing all over.

But being an Underworld goon, he chucked it immediately and stood up on his feet. He looked at Naveen who was still sitting there clutching his bleeding hand. He then turned his gaze to Manik, who was now moving towards Nandini.

Manik's back was facing him, and he found this a great opportunity.

Taking a knife from his pocket he launched at Manik.

But

But

But

Can anyone ever harm the Monster, when the Mini Monster is still there?

Nandini who noticed this immediately took the gun and shot at Vikram's leg.

Vikram let out a painful shout and fell down again.

Manik who was startled by this turned around only to find Vikram lying their holding his bleeding leg.

Nandini handed the gun to Manik and moved towards Vikram with hasty steps. Holding his collar , she hoisted him up on his feet and again punched him squarely on his face.

The guards who were real mafia men, were startled by all this. Seeing their masters being beaten up, they moved forward to save them but were stopped by the guards who were actually Gupta detectives.

The heads who were earlier sitting with  Naveen and Vikram, launched at Manik and the other two men who revealed themselves to be Arnav and Maddy.

A fierce fight broke. The guards were fighting, beating each other. Manik broke the nose of one and punched the other on his stomach. A third one launched at him from the back, but was tackled on time by Arnav who gave him such a hard stroke on his head that he lay unconscious. Maddy was beating one of the men with the a broken wooden plank.

Nandini who had anger pent up in her, removed all her frustration on Vikram. She was punching and kicking him left right and centre, when some of the mafia men jumped in to attack her from all sides. But having been trained in martial arts, she easily handled four men at a time. Later even Manik joined her and the two easily tackled all of them. At the end, Vikram lay unconscious on the ground with blood oozing out all the places where Nandini's punches and kicks had landed.

The fight was getting fiercer when more mafia men joined in. But the Gupta workers were highly trained. They launched at the new joinees with more energy and soon many of them were lying down, bleeding.

BOOM!!!

The sound of a gunshot stilled all the activities. Everyone stopped at their places and looked around for the source, and the sight was fearful.

Naveen Aggarwal had got hold of a gun and aimed it at one of the girls in hostage after firing it in the air.

" Stop right there all of you! Or I'll blow off her head. Stop!", he growled, stopping all the activities.

" Wow Babygirl! I'm impressed! You did use your brain a lot han! Replacing half of my men with yours. Impressive!", he sniggered with fake excitement making Nandini scoff. " But I must say you forgot a very essential part in all this. I'm The Devil here and this is my place. You can't win over me. Nah!", he said with a smirk and Nandini glared at him.

"Hands up all of you. I won't repeat. Hands up or else I'll shoot her.", he said and everyone looked at each other before raising their hands.

Naveen smirked seeing this. But his happiness was short lived.

He couldn't understand anything.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye and he found himself kneeling on the floor with the gun pointed at his head.

He looked up to see the girl he had held hostage.......was actually holding him hostage now.

It was none other than The Khushi Kumari Gupta Chatterjee. She had expertly elbowed him hard, snatching the gun from him and kicked his knees to put him down and point the gun at his head.

" You are The Devil? No. You're a fool. Because you don't know, that The Devil is always defeated by Devi Maiyya.", Khushi said with her all time fearless attitude, reflecting her smirk on the faces of others.

The mafia men tried to think of something to free their master. Some of them moved towards the other four girls. But they were kicked on their guts when the four girls revealed their real selves. They were none other than Navya, Aliya, Mukti and Shrishti (Aryaman's girlfriend). Mukti gave her famous punch to one guy who tried to hold Aliya from back and he fell unconscious with the intensity.

Aliya giggled and clapped her hands childishly seeing all the action and the mafia men lying on the floor while others shook their heads in disbelief with a smile.

Nandini moved towards Naveen and punched him hard.

" This is for trapping Mr. Murthy."

She again punched him hard making him see stars.

" This is for torturing Niharika Aunty."

She hit him on his chest with her knee and he growled in pain.

" This is for trapping my Mumma."

She kicked him hard where the sun doesn't shine.

" This is for the torture that I had to bear in that dark room."

" What did you think han? Just because you suffered in your teens, it became your right to spoil people's lives? You were right at what you did?

No you're not! You killed people! Yo..you killed my Mumma!  You....you destroyed so many lives! You are a sinner. And a sinner like you doesn't deserve to live."

She snatched the gun from Manik and pointed it at Naveen's forehead. Her fingers tightened at the trigger.

" No princess!"

" Shona stop!"

" Nanhi no!"

" Nanni don't!"

" Nandu!"

Everyone shouted at her to stop. But she was unstoppable. Rage had blinded her. She couldn't think anything straight. All the revelations she had today, made her mad in anger.

She was about to press the trigger, but Manik back hugged her on time and snatched the gun from her hand.

" Don't do this Shona! You're not a murderer. "

" No Manik! Leave me! I'll kill him today! He killed my Mumma! He...he ...I'll kill him!", she screamed at the top of her voice, struggling in Manik's hold. But Manik held her tight, trying to calm her down.

" He'll get his punishment Nandini. I assure you. He'll be hanged. But don't take the law in your hands.", said the Commissioner who entered in, followed by  Cabir, Dhruv, Arya, Yug and Vishal and the police constables.

" How'll you punish me haan! Do you think I'm that easy to get?

All this is in the name of Vivek Murthy. I have trapped him completely. He is innocent, but he will be the culprit in front of the court. Every proof is against him.

And I am a renowned lawyer Naren Dixit. You won't be able to prove anything in the court.", Naveen said and laughed. But what he didn't know was that The Monster was way ahead of him in this.

" Oh! You don't need to worry about that Mr. Devil. You seriously are a fool.

You think after what you did, we'll come here without any preparation?

Shrishti!", Manik said with a devilish smirk which reflected on Shrishti's face as she came forward. She took the mini camera attached to her kurti with the antenna.

" Well....let me introduce myself first. I'm Shrishti Jha. Senior reporter INN. And this is the record of all your confessions.", she said showing him the mini camera, draining colour off Naveen's face.

He was about to say something, but Manik cut him off, " Aahan! Don't even think that you will pirate this video the way you did to Mr.Murthy's confession. Because the whole confession, you so proudly made few moments ago, has been aired live on INN. So......"

" Your game is over Mr. So-called Devil.", Nandini completed his sentence and Naveen fell down on his knees.

The constables got hold of Naveen and the other semi unconscious mafia men, while others relaxed themselves. Finally the drama had ended.

Manik hugged Nandini tightly, assuring himself of her presence after so long. Nandini snuggled to Manik feeling her safe haven. The two pure souls were lost in their own world, unaware of the storm coming on their way.

Naveen kicked the hawaldar who was trying to handcuff him and snatched his gun, pointing it at Nandini's back. " I won't let you live after what you did to me!", he shouted before pressing the trigger.

BOOM!

The girls screamed Nandu's name and Manik felt lifeless.

Nandini who had closed her eyes tight, waiting for the bullet to hit her back, opened them to find herself safe and sound.

Fear gripped her heart. If the bullet was fired, it must have hit someone.

She looked up hurriedly at Manik to see him looking at her confusedly. He was safe. Then what happened?

She turned around to see. And floor slipped beneath her feet...

Vivek Murthy was lying in a pool of blood. The bullet had hit him in his chest.

He had come in front of the bullet to save his daughter.....yet again.

Nandini felt her world spinning. All the revelations she had today, all the truths she found, Vivek calling her a princess, everything came in front of her eyes and they teared up.

" I loved you Nandini. Believe me. I still do."

" Pr..Nandini."

" SN is named after my two daughters."

" Kill me Naveen! Kill me but let her go! Leave her!"

" Princess!"

The voice of Vivek, all that he said today, his pleadings to believe him, his pleadings to kill him and let her go. All echoed in her ears and she fell down lifelessly on her knees.

The constables grabbed Naveen and snatched the gun from him before he could fire again. They handcuffed him and dragged him out.

Arnav and Yug rushed to Vivek followed by the others while Manik took Nandini in a tight hug telling her that everything will be fine.

" Dadda"

The small wishper was everything he heard before he found her whole weight on him.

So finally.....

The thrill is over......

The game of The Devil is over....

But Vivek is shot....

Will he survive?
