STEAL MY CLOTHES
:: ii. | real life
Sarahjean didn't really care much of the news. It's not that it wasn't a surprise anymore, that was just her personality. She just didn't care but most of all of why she didn't have a reaction is because she doesn't really like alexa demie. But it is what it is, you can't really decide who you work with. I mean you could, but you can't decide who gets what role.
Sarah rolled her eyes as she scrolled through comments that talked about alexa and her, together. As she tossed her phone on the couch, Clayton walked into view. She was clayton's place.
"That doesn't look like a pleasant reaction." He commented, approaching the living room with food in hand.
"To seeing you or the project?" A smirk formed across her lips.
He sat next to his friend, "I know you all too well to know it's not me." He was quite cocky about it.
"Wow, he's cocky too. Oh how I wonder what I did to deserve you." She joked, placing her legs across his thighs.
"I could be more than just a friend?" He emphasized on friend in a more seductive tone.
Sarahjean on the other hand was not having that, "Pass me the food dumbfuck."
Their relationship was quite unique. He'd flirt, at times she would too but it all depends on her mood. She only really did it when Drew was around. Her favorite game was making him jealous. Love was just a game to drew and sarah. They love making each other jealous, upset, and anything that can get your blood boiling really.
Sure you can call it toxic but that's not how they saw it. Putting all the games aside, they genuinely care for each other and want the best for one another. Though none of them experienced real love before, they were all each other had. So when they broke up, they tried to hold onto that for as long as possible. They played with the idea if they were to get back together. Instead of dealing with their problems and moving on, they made it into a game.
The cycle would continue until one of them ended up in the other's bed. Then once again, it would start all over again. Who would piss each other off the most, then come begging on their knees. It was an addiction. They didn't know how to break it. Or maybe they didn't want too.

Alexa on the other hand was excited about the news that she'll be working with thee Sarahjean. She read the article over and over again. Though she was celebrating alone, that wasn't going to stop her from throwing a mini party for herself.
She ran upstairs with her phone in hand to her bedroom. She tossed her phone on the bed and rampaged through her closet until she found something that suited the mood she was in. Like Alexa demie always does, she accomplished that.
She slipped on her pink dress and ran towards the mirror. Imagining herself strutting down the red carpet with her friends, next was an Oscar. She had everything planned out. As she was smiling and giggling in the mirror, there was a ring of her doorbell.
She skipped down the steps to the door and immediately taken by surprise after she opened the door.
"This is random." Alexa announced herself before Sydney turned around with a smile.
Sydney walked passed Alexa, "I was on my way to the store and your house is right there so I thought I'd congratulate you in person."
Alexa shut the door once Sydney was through and followed her to the kitchen, since that's where Sydney was headed after all. She still thought it was weird that Sydney came all the way here when she could've just called like how everyone else had been doing.
Alexa crossed her arms over her chest, "I don't buy it. Come on, tell me."
Sydney sighed in defeat, "I'm friends with someone who's friends with Sarahjean. According to that friend, she isn't happy about the project."
Alexa shook her head, "It's something else. She wouldn't have auditioned if she didn't want the role. So stop dancing around it and just tell me!" Alexa was growing irritated that Sydney wasn't telling her straight.
Sydney took a deep sigh before opening her mouth, "Sarahjeandoesntlikeyou."
"What?" Alexa leaned closer.
"Sarahjean . . . doesn't like you." Sydney spoke slowly yet softly. She was kind of nervous of Alexa's reaction.
"She doesn't even know me!" Alexa exclaimed, her arms going in the air before falling by her side.
Sydney started fiddling with her fingers, "She doesn't have to know you to not like you."
"Then that's just flat out judgmental." Alexa rolled her eyes.
Eventually Sydney left and Alexa was left alone with the news she just heard. She soon realized she was acting a bit like Maddy Perez. Her character on euphoria and it's funny because she never thought she was like maddy in that way but man, it's amazing what people bring out of you.
So yeah, her mood kind of dampened about the upcoming project. No, she wasn't going to make Sarahjean like her. If she doesn't like her, she doesn't like her. That's her problem not alexa's. Little did she know though, there was a lot more drama coming than just that.
