This is Song! NO, THIS IS NOT A ONESHOT, THE TITLE SAYS SHORTS, NOT ONESHOTS!!!!

Song breathed nervously as she looked out the window. Tomorrow was the day of the talent show, and she STILL hadn't thought of a song to write yet.
"Think, come on, think!" Song was hanging upside down on the windowsill. She climbed up to the balcony and looked out onto the ocean. The moonlit water, the boats docking, and Seaspray, who she let out to play in the water calmed her nerves. Song breathed in deeply, and was reminded of her childhood, where she spent hours doing his, to escape all of the pain put on her, courtesy of her sorry excuse for her father.

A lightbulb clicked in her head. Smaller than usual, but still a lightbulb. She rushed back to her room and began to write.

(Talent show day)
Everyone cheered as Shadow finished her song. It just made her more and more self- conscious about her singing. She balled her hands into nervous fists. What if I'm not as good as I thought?

Taking a deep breath, she stepped out onto the stage, wheeling out a piano. She smiled best she could. "Hello! I'm going to sing a song I wrote. It's called Am I Supposed to Apologize." The crowd cheered.

Song took a deep breath and began to sing. (This is role play, feel free to put your character reactions and other character's during the performance in beetween the spaces!)

I wrote a song, a jounal gave it to the world

Told the story of when I was just a girl

By baring all the wounds inflicted on my youth

You critized my choice to stand up to my past

Of bitterness that wouldn't leave or let me go
(Starts to look so angry, you wouldn't even know it's Song)

(Ocean suddenly becomes very stormy and frothy)

That someone sharing my bloodline

Wouldn't lend me their hand

(Tidal waves splash into the room and the water makes a mini storm inside)

(Water gets wilder and wilder until the end, when it all flies out of the window)

Song smiled, a little angry, but looking perfectly normal again. Everybody stared in stunned silence and then erupted in cheers. She smiled and hopped over to the stage, where her friends were.
(Like I said, this is roleplay, feel free to write what you want your character to say and other non- cult members characters, like Rollan for example, here!)

"Good job Song!" Raisha called down from atop the tower of boxes she was perched on.

"You did really great!" Jolt said from beside her, leaning precariously off the box tower they had climbed up to escape Song's performance.

"Thank you!" Song said, giving them a still slight angry smile before sauntering off to talk to her other friends.

Jolt peered nervously off the tower, giving a worried look at the ground below.

"I'll go check for you." Raisha said, patting him once on the back before climbing down. She checked the floor for any shimmer of water, and after finding no trace, she called up to him, "All clear!"

As Jolt started climbing down, Raisha checked to make sure the drums and guitar were ready, and after seeing they were, heard the familiar sound that meant it was time to go onstage.

"Are you ready?" She asked Jolt, getting ready to help wheel the drums out onstage.

"I think so." He responded, smiling.

"Then get ready, because we're about to be on."

After the drums had been put in place, the microphones set up, and the piano recordings set to play (as this was a duet), Raisha could hear the cheering for the crowd behind the curtain. Straightening out her jade green silk dress, she gave one last look at Jolt, who was looking out nervously.

"You ready now?" She asked.

"I'm not sure."

"You're still nervous?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"When I performed with Shadow, I wasn't singing, I was only playing the guitar, and Shadow was getting all the attention. I'm not sure I'm ready to have all those eyes on me."

"Aww, don't be nervous. I'll be right here beside you the whole time." Raisha reached out from where she was sitting behind the drums and grasped his hand. He turned around and smiled at her.

"I'm ready."

"So am I."

Suddenly the curtain unveiled, leaving the two open to the eyes of the crowd. Raisha let go of his hand (sadly) and tapped twice in the mic.

"This thing on?" She called, and hearing her voice echoed, she smiled. "Hello everyone, I'm Raisha."

"Hey, I'm Jolt." Announced Jolt, checking his microphone with a tap before speaking as well.

"Tonight, we're going to be singing a song called 'Everybody Loves Me', which was modified to make this flow better...." Raisha trailed off.

"But don't worry, we'll still give an amazing performance!" Jolt finished smiling.

"Enjoy!" They said in synch, and sharing one last smile, they began to play.

There was complete silence for a fraction of a moment, before the entire stadium erupted into cheers. Raisha felt her face heat up from all the attention, and she stood up, waving, to stand over next to Jolt, who was equally as flushed from all the attention.

She moved next to him, smiling and waving, before gently nudging him. He looked down at her, clearly flustered.

"You still doing good?" She asked. Their words were drowned out by the crowd, but he still responded, so Raisha assumed he could hear her.

"Yeah," He said, giving her a slightly less nervous look. "I guess we survived it after all."

Before he could say anything else, Raisha gave him a quick kiss, her face flushed and grinning like mad. The crowd erupted into more cheers, giving them an opportunity to walk backstage, hand in hand.

"We shure did" then he led her off stage and into the cround of onlookers
