Worthy's POV:

Jolt paced the floor, grabbing his hair and pulling it nervously as he paced back and forth, clearly stressed.

"Hey... um, buddy you might not want to do that." Said Worthy, rather unhelpfully.

"Why!?" Snapped Jolt. Worthy flinched back.

"You don't want to accidentally tear out your hair." Worthy said with a smile. Jolt flopped down onto his bed. Worthy jumped up and ran to sit next to him. "I know how you feel," He said. "It must be hard and scary, but trust me, I've been there."

"Yeah, but it was always going to work out, you and Shadow were meant for each other."

"She didn't think that, you were there, you saw that amount of times she denied me." Worthy said, but Jolt sighed.

"But she was your good friend, it wasn't like messing up was going to break everything! You mess up all the time, it's normal for you." Worthy didn't know whether to take that as a compliment or not.

"Umm... thanks?"

"Anytime." Jolt smiled nervously.

"Well then, maybe talk to King."

"Again, he and Abeke are friends. Besides, messing up isn't exactly unexpected from him either. He did start a war after all."

"True."

"But then again he also fixed his wrongs and helped us all..."

"True."

"And he is a nice guy, one of my best friends."

"Again, true."

"But still, his situation is very different from mine."

"True."

"Enough with the trues!"

"Tru- oh, sorry.." Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Worthy went to open it to find that Shadow and King stood there.

"Shadow!" He said, ignoring his leader and hugging his wife.

"Hey there, pussycat." He blushed as Shane elbowed past him and into the room.

"Hey that hurt!" He called after the boy.

"Not sorry!" He replied.

"So," Said Shadow. "I spoke to Raisha." Jolt sat upright at her name. "And she is so excited and happy, and quite frankly, is also outstandingly nervous."

"Nervous? Why? It's only me." Asked Jolt.

"Tell that to her."

"I should go." He said, moving to leave. "Raisha is such a special girl, so- so otherworldly. She summoned Gerathon, for Tellun's sake!"

"Oh no, do not do that." Said Shadow. "You'll kill the girl."

"No!" Cried Jolt. Worthy walked over to him, and put his arm around his best friend.

"Hey, hey, Jolt it's ok."

"Shouldn't you be helping Raisha get ready?" Asked Shane, looking towards Shadow.

"I probably should." Admitted Shadow. "But I've always gotten along better with boys in times like these, (true) and my husband is here."

"Hey, maybe you could be like a spy, and report back to us how she is doing!" Suggested Worthy.

"Oh good plan! And to cover it up I'll say I'm spying on Jolt for her, when really its for you!" Jolt looked at Worthy.

"Man, I love your wife." Worthy proceeded to punch him in the nose. Based on the shock on Shadow's face he guessed he had read the situation wrong, and now Jolt had a huge bruise on the nose as Worthy had punched hard.

"I'm sorry!" Worthy said. "I thought you meant-"

"No, its okay." He smiled.

"I'll go check on Raisha now." Said Shadow. She strolled over to Worthy and kissed his forehead,  whispering. "Take care of Jolt for me." As she did. Worthy nodded.

"I will." Shadow smiled at him as she left the room.

"Okay, have your decided what you're going to wear?" Worthy asked.

"Ummm... something good looking?" Jolt went over to his wardrobe. Worthy noticed how plain his clothes were. He looked to King. As the name suggested, the boy was dressed like a king. He had the best clothing of the three of them. Worthy would lend Jolt some of his posher clothing, but one he had brought most of it in an atempt to kill Devin Trunswick, and two he was considerably shorter then Jolt. The boy was taller, always had been. He made Worthy feel so tiny sometimes. When Shane didn't get the hint, Worthy said.

"You need to dress like King- uh, I mean a king."

"No," Shane interjected. "That's an excellent idea, he needs to dress like me!"

"Are you sure your clothes will fit me?" Asked Jolt with a laugh.

"No, but we may as well try."

"Okay then, let's do this!" Jolt smiled as King ran off to get something for him to wear.

"Want me to do your hair?" Asked Worthy. Jolt looked at Worthy's own hair, pondering.

"Nope." He said with a laugh. "Your wife can do it." Worthy smiled. He loved it when people referred to Shadow as his wife. As if the words had summoned her, Shadow came back in with a broad grin on her face. As Worthy stood up and went to greet her, she grabbed his shoulders and jumped up and down over and over again, she was very clearly excited.

"Yikes." Said Worthy.

"Woah Shadow, you okay there?" Asked Jolt. Shadow hugged Worthy, so tight he thought he was going to suffocate. Something definitely had her excited. She flopped down into an arm chair and pulled one knee up to her chest, she began playing with a plat in her hair.

"Shadow..." Prompted Worthy.

"Jolt! Jolt! Jolt, you'll never guess what she just said!"

"Who, Raisha!?" Worthy recongnized somthing in the look in Jolt's eyes and in the voice he spoke in. Something he had last seen in himself when Jolt had helped him get ready to go to a dance in Trunswick with Shadow. This was long before they had half moved to Greenhaven. He laughed at how different thigns had been back then, with Jolt helping him, rather than the other way around.

"She said word for word; 'Are you sure I'm worthy-'"

"Well, that's obviously a no, she looks nothing like me." Interrupted Worthy. Jolt smacked him for interrupting, but Shadow laughed like she always did, even when it wasn't that funny.

"Anyway," She said. "'Are you sure I'm worthy of this guy? I mean, like, I don't know if I deserve him. After all, he's such a handsome, funny, kind, gentle, lovable, amazing, person, and I'm not sure I deserve that.'"

"Jolt?" Worthy asked, looking at the stunned form of his best friend. "Jolt, are you okay buddy?"

"She really said all that? About me?"

"Of course!" Answered Shadow.

"Well, you tell her I said that she's the most beautiful girl in all of Erdas, the only girl with eyes like that, eyes that tell stories of places beyond imagination, the only girl who acts like she does so strong and so graceful at the same time, the only girl I've danced with and the only girl I'll ever dance with." There was a stunned silence.

"Woah," Worthy breathed. "Well that was deep." Shadow jumped up, clearly excited.

"I'll go tell her right now!" She ran out the door, and Worthy and Jolt were left alone.

"You really do love her."

"Yeah," Jolt sighed.

"Jolt if it wasn't for you, Shadow would never have been mine. It's only fair I help you get Raisha."

"Now, you say that like she is an object," Jolt pointed, out, the slightest hint of malice in his voice.

"Well-" Worthy started. "Okay yeah, I guess I did."

"Raisha isn't just an object, she is a queen and everything I could ever want, she summoned Gerathon after all!" Jolt buried his head in his hands. "Oh Worthy, I'm not good enough for her!"

"Jolt! You heard Shadow, you are clearly both into each other!"

"I guess so, but-" Then King came running back in.

"Okay, Jolt! I think I found some that will fit you." Jolt took the clothes from him and Worthy left with King so Jolt could put them on.

"Do you think this is gonna work out?" King asked, once they'd left the room.

"What, Jaisholt? I know it will."
