Let there be Carnage
"Welcome back to Just the Facts with J. Jonah Jameson. With you, J. Jonah Jameson. Now folks, I thought that our city was finally safe. For almost twenty years, not only has Spider-Man been a no-show, but beforehand, he had been Metropolis' problem. But now there have been constant sightings of that Masked Menace all over Manhattan. And now, the moment he returns, there's a new Goblin, escapees at the Raft, things are suddenly getting worse all over again. But don't take my word for it, so, let's go to the phones."
"Okay, well, I have to say that you seem to be forgetting that this Goblin was causing trouble before Spider-Man came back. Even the Avengers had problems taking him down. At least with Spider-Man back, he knows more about the Goblin than they do." The caller defended Spider-Man.
"Is that how you see it?" Jameson asks. "Well, here's how it is. Spider-Man vanished, and nothing bad had been happening for years. But when someone wanted to bring him back, he crawled out of that hole and caused even more trouble. At least the damage was contained to government facilities. There were no innocents who were going to be harmed. Now, the fights are in our streets. Multiple people have been killed by Michael Morbius during his escape. Spider-Man claims to be a hero, and yet it's his fault that innocents are dying! Still think he's protecting people like you?"
"Well, if the Goblin was going to escalate to letting loose criminals, at least Spider-Man was around to at least stop him."
"EXCEPT IT WASN'T EVEN SPIDER-MAN! My sources are telling me that it wasn't Spider-Man who stopped Morbius, from what I discovered, it was that Egyptian worshipping mummy of a hero, Moon a knight! Jared! Go to commercial! I need a double aspirin with an antacid chaser."

April stumbled and lost her balance, she inadvertently collided with a mat that had been laid out on the ground to cushion any potential falls. The impact caused her to let out an audible groan as she quickly brought her hand up to the affected area of her head, massaging it in hopes of alleviating any discomfort. She turned her gaze towards Luke Cage, her trainer, followed by looking over to Mayday, as they both stood in the training room, ready to begin their first day of defense training. The purpose of this training was to prepare them for any potential emergencies where they would need to utilize their powers to protect themselves and others.
April said, "Okay, that really hurt!" as she picked herself up. She added, "I thought you could handle pain better than this."
Peter said to them, "Endurance is something I gained from years of enduring pain. Something I hope you girls don't have to endure. But with the rising threat of this Goblin, I want you both ready for anything."
"Which means I hit, and you learn when to dodge," Luke said as he cracked his knuckles with a smile.
Peter however was a little worried about his friend's behavior. "You're taking too much fun out of teaching my kids how to take a hit."
"I'm more taking the fun out of it by reminding you of her," Luke admits and looks at Mayday. "You good?"
Mayday had a bag of ice on her head and a healing bruise on her cheek. "I'm good," she said.
"Good. Because you're back up." Luke gestured for her to take April's place. "Let's go through this again."
With a heavy heart, Mayday let out a long sigh and reluctantly acquiesced to Luke's commands. She stood up from her previous posture and assumed the position that he had been demonstrating to them, albeit with a somewhat indifferent demeanor. She positioned her left foot in a curved manner behind her and firmly planted her right foot, all the while raising both fists to prepare for the upcoming battle.
Luke asked, "Ready?"
"Yeah, let's get this over-" Mayday didn't even have a moment to finish her sentence as she was hit in the face; luckily, Luke didn't use his full force. She stumbled backward and was tripped up by Luke. She then hit her head against the ground, causing her to moan and wince in pain. "Ow!"
Luke says, "I think you just like the feel of the mat." He laughs. "Is it that comfortable?"
"Oh, yeah, definitely," Mayday said sarcastically. "Softer than my bed."
"I so wish we were still in bed," Mayday groaned in pain and rubbed her eyes. "Why did we have to do this so early?"
"Figured it would be smart to have you guys experience your early schedule," Peter explains to them. "Because the bad guys don't attack when you are at your strongest. They don't like to attack when you've had a good night's rest. I haven't had one in years."
"Speaking of which," Luke said as he wiped himself down, "shouldn't you take them to school?" He asked. "It's getting late."
"Oh, yeah, you're right. They have to go," Peter said as he glanced at the time. He then looked down at his daughters who were still lying on the grass. "Come on, you two, grab your bags."
April groaned and flattened herself on the mat. "You can't be serious," she said. "Can't I just call in sick?"
Peter reminded them, "It's the first week." He continued, "Come on, let's go."

Back at Lois's apartment, she was trying to gain access into one of the dozens of facilities that Carlton Drake was working within. She had a gut feeling that whatever was going on in there could explain what Drake was up to.
Lois asked, "So, the children are in school now?"
"Yeah, I got it worked out," Peter confirmed. "I can handle things myself; you know?"
"I know, I was just making sure," she said with a laugh.
Peter asked, "Anything in Drake's facilities?"
"I've tried everything to make this work," Lois said as she typed an email. "Perhaps I should call up your friend, Howard the Duck. He may have some connections we could use."
Peter wasn't sure what to say to that. "Uh..."
Lois then heard a knock on the door and wondered who that was. "Oh, hang on, let me call you back." She then hung up the phone and approached the door. To be on the safe side, she reached for a taser Peter had gifted her to protect herself. "Who is it?"
"It's your new best friend," the voice of Harry Osborn, aka Gabriel Lyman, said to Lois.
Curious about Gabriel's presence, Lois approached the door to investigate. Upon opening it, she found Gabriel standing there alone. As there were no signs of anyone around for miles, she realized it was unlikely to be a trap.
Lois wondered, "What are you doing here?"
Harry then showed her the two passkeys he had managed to forge in his RV using his tech. "Thought that you might want to get a closer look at what Drake has been doing over there at Ravencroft."
Lois asked, "How did you get ahold of these?" as she looked them over.
"Let's just say I know someone who owed me one," Harry said. "A quick photo swap, and now we have two badges. Me going in alone, might be suspicious. But me walking around with say... an inspector might make it more believable. You in?"
"Why are you giving it to me?" Lois asks him.
Harry sighed. "I got intel that Drake is working on the final stage of what he is calling ASM-361. I wanna help debunk and expose what he's doing. You wanna help me or not?"

As April and Mayday headed to school, they tried to keep things as normal as possible. However, it was difficult to shake off the recent events that had shaken them to the core. The Halloween party decorations were being taken down, and the atmosphere was somber. As they passed by, they overheard Adrian and Allison having a heated conversation. Allison seemed upset with what Adrian was telling her, and they couldn't help but eavesdrop on their conversation.
"It just isn't working out," he says to her.
Allison scoffed and crossed her arms. "Is this because of those girls from last night?"
"The Parker twins?" Adrian asks. "No, of course not. This has been a long time coming, Allie."
Allison asked, "Why now?"
"I guess I was only able to muster up the courage to say it today," Adrian says.
Allison's face contorted with anger as she let out a low growl and stormed off, pushing April and Mayday aside as they stood there, unable to comprehend what had just happened. However, Mayday happened to notice that Allison gave her what looked to be a death glare, causing her to become confused. Adrian let out a deep sigh as he glanced over and noticed the two girls had overheard everything that was said; their expressions were a mixture of confusion and concern.
"Guessing that you overheard that," Adrian tells them.
"Sorry, we didn't mean to pry," Mayday says.
"No, it's okay," he said. "Helps me keep from repeating this conversation." Adrian smiled. "Sorry if she made it seem like it was your fault. She just gets a little...clingy, and was even jealous of you two being with us the other night."
"Really?" Mayday asks. "Us?"
"Yeah," Adrian confirmed and even scoffed at it. "It's stupid, I know."
The sound of the bell echoed through the hallway, signaling the beginning of their first period and the start of class. Adrian and the girls said goodbye to one another, promising to continue their conversation another time. As they walked away, the girls couldn't help but wonder what other traits, besides the obvious ones, Adrian had seen in her that made him want to pursue a relationship with her. Meanwhile, Allison was seething with anger over being dumped and stormed down the hallway.
As she approached a water fountain, she reached out to touch it and, to her surprise, felt a sudden zap of electricity. However, it didn't seem to harm Allison. She looked down at her fingers and noticed a small current traveling up from the tip of her fingers, down to her palm. The sensation was strange and unfamiliar; she couldn't help but wonder what could have caused it.

Lois and Harry cautiously proceeded toward the prison where they were now granted access. Lois couldn't shake off the feeling that their plan was too risky and could potentially lead to disastrous consequences. She feared that their attempt to deceive the authorities would be unsuccessful and they would be caught, or worse, end up like Drake's other unfortunate victims who disappeared without a trace. Despite her apprehension, Lois tried to remain composed and focused on the task at hand, hoping that they could successfully carry out their mission without any hiccups.
Harry indeed managed to get them through security without a hitch thanks to his passes, and they started to make their way inside. As they were wandering around, trying their best to make it seem like a normal investigation. As they were looking, Harry seemed to be leading them to a certain destination in mind. Lois was following along, not paying much attention to anything else since most of the stuff around them was public knowledge as it was.
"So, you know what you are looking for?" Lois asks him.
Harry said, "I got my hands on some of the schematics that talk about this underground bunker Drake made." He pointed at what looked like a normal service elevator. "That's where we're headed."
Lois followed and tried to make sense of his story. "So, you just happened to take a peek at top-secret schematics? How is that even possible?"
"I have a friend," Harry said as they entered the elevator and saw nothing out of the ordinary.
"Well, props to you and your friend," Lois stated. "Now what?"
Grinning, Harry tugged at his sleeve and extended his arm toward one of the elevator's buttons. His watch seemed to interface with the panel, and the elevator descended beyond the limits indicated in the building's blueprints.
"So, a high-tech guy worked for OsCorp, one of the top tech companies in the world, only to quit and pursue a career in journalism," Lois recapped the backstory Harry had revealed to her. "Doesn't it feel like I should be focusing my story on you?"
Harry didn't respond until the doors opened and they saw what appeared to be dozens of chambers. "No. Trust me. You'll want to write about what's in here."
As they made their way inside, they didn't realize there was a silent alarm that would only go off if unauthorized personnel entered without Carlton Drake being present. Drake received the alert while he was out of the office and watched Lois Lane and someone he had never seen before on the security cameras. He saw this as a perfect opportunity to test his experiment and get rid of his only threat. He flipped a few buttons on his tablet and eagerly awaited to see exactly what would happen.
Lois started taking pictures of everything she saw. The inmates and even some of the homeless people that she met at the FEAST shelters around New York City. Drake was offering them money to keep quiet about these experiments and they never got the chance to speak of them. It seemed. All that was left of them were either corpses rotting away in the cells or even their insides exploding out of their bodies.
Lois asked, "What the hell is he doing?"
"He's trying to achieve symbiosis," Harry explained to her that he had seen these as failed experiments.
As Lois and Harry were distracted, Cletus Cassady was confined to a cell and secured to a sturdy chair placed at the end of a long, dimly lit hallway. A needle was inserted into his vein, which led to a sample of the Symbiote. As soon as Drake flicked the switch, the creature started to move towards Cletus, and began to merge with him. Cletus could feel the Symbiote moving inside him, causing him to shake uncontrollably. The sensation was overwhelming, as the Symbiote started to spread through his veins, making him feel stronger and stronger. With each passing moment, Cletus felt like he was losing the last remnants of his humanity. Lois and Harry heard Cletus's screams and turned toward his chamber. They saw something beyond comprehension happening; spikes were protruding out of him, and they were turning a blood-red color.
Harry and Lois didn't waste a single moment as they frantically sprinted for their lives; their hearts pounded with fear and uncertainty. They had no idea what was happening around them, but the chaos was palpable. Meanwhile, Cletus struggled to break the thick glass that separated them from the patient's cell. As he finally managed to shatter it, a thick cloud of smoke emerged from within the cell, as if trying to subdue the patient. But it was all in vain. The patient had already escaped his cell. Suddenly, two massive hands, colored a deep shade of crimson, burst out of the cell, followed by a monstrous face resembling that of Venom. The creature let out a deafening screech, revealing its razor-sharp teeth and a gargantuan tongue as if challenging them to a fight.
As the creature started to approach them, Harry tried to find a way to get them out; suddenly, the alarm went off in the room. The sound seemed to harm the new Symbiote, which screeched in pain and tried to cover its nonexistent ears. Lois took this as the perfect opportunity to reach for her phone and send out a signal to Peter, realizing that this was much larger than she had anticipated.

Peter was in the middle of performing a complex scientific experiment in one of Reed Richards' advanced labs when he heard his phone vibrate, indicating a new text message from his wife, Lois. Peter couldn't help but feel curious about the content of the message, as he hadn't communicated with her since dropping off their twins at school earlier that day. As he unlocked his phone, his heart almost dropped, and his hands began to shake when he read what it said.
The message was from Lois, and it read that she was currently at Rykers, one of the most dangerous places to be in the city, other than the Raft. Peter knew that Rykers prison was an infamous location with a history of shady dealings, and he also knew that just about everyone he had ever captured or caught had been transferred to that institution. He felt a chill run down his spine as he realized that Lois must be in grave danger to message him from there.
Although he knew that Lois wouldn't message him unless it were something important, Peter tried to maintain his composure as he quickly assessed the situation. He realized that he needed to act quickly to save her. So, he tore off his clothes to reveal the Spider-Man suit underneath and activated a window to open, allowing him to leap out without breaking it. Then, he began swinging his way toward Ravencroft, a high-security psychiatric facility located on the outskirts of the city, where Lois was being held captive.

As soon as the recently born Symbiote regained some control over its body, it quickly pivoted around to crush the alarming device and silence the loud ringing sound that had been echoing throughout the room. Meanwhile, Harry swiftly reached into his bag and retrieved what appeared to be a tiny grenade, poised and ready for action.
"What the hell is that?" Lois asks.
"Our salvation. Three, close your eyes and cover your ears," Harry said as he tossed the grenade, and it released a giant flash of light as well as a sonic sound that set the Cletus Symbiote off balance and seemed to upset it greatly. Harry then grabbed Lois by the hand and ran for the stairway. "Come on!"
Lois and Harry made their way up the stairs to try and escape the symbiote. "What the hell is that thing?"
"Venom's offspring!" Harry exclaimed as he ran and kicked the doorway that had been hidden behind a fake wall. "We might want to get in touch with your friend!"
"I am sure he knows!" Lois cried as dozens of guards responded to the alarms as they ran.
Chaos erupted in the prison as Cletus destroyed the security system, rendering the guards powerless against the onslaught of inmates now pouring out of their cells. The entire facility was now in lockdown, as the authorities struggled to contain the situation. Amidst the chaos, Harry managed to find a safe spot to hide, while Lois followed him closely, trying to avoid the rampaging prisoners and waiting for Peter to arrive. Fear and uncertainty hung heavy in the air as the inmates roamed free, wreaking havoc and causing mayhem wherever they went.

Peter swung outside the towering prison walls of Rykers, the sound of screaming and gunfire echoing in the background. Suddenly, he noticed a group of prisoners hastily driving a delivery truck away from the prison gates. Without a moment's hesitation, Peter sprang into action. He swung his way towards the speeding truck, his arms outstretched and adrenaline pumping through his veins. With a swift and powerful tackle, he brought the truck to a halt, preventing the escape of the would-be fugitives.
"You should have worn your seatbelt!" Peter exclaimed as he stepped inside the vehicle and pulled the driver out. That's when his instincts kicked in and warned him of the car about to crash into a container full of gas. "Oh, my God!"
Webbing himself quickly away from the explosion, Peter managed to make it to the front gate and saw the dozens of inmates trying to escape. They all seemed to take one look at Spider-Man and decided that now was the perfect time to go after him. Peter saw the hate in their eyes and prepared to fight back against them.
"Anybody here who didn't order the knuckle sandwich, please return to your cell," Peter quipped as he prepared to fight. One of them ignored the demand and ran at him with a crowbar, which Peter quickly grabbed before it could even touch him. "Has that ever worked? Especially on me?"
Peter didn't waste any time as he punched the one who tried to use the crowbar on him and shot a web so he could then yank himself toward a bunch of inmates who were coming for the exit. To ensure that nobody escapes, Peter shoots a gigantic net of webbing to ensure that nobody leaves the prison. Seeing a few of them on a high platform where a crowbar was placed on the doorway, he knew that was where some of the guards had to have been.
Swinging his way over, Peter tackled and slammed another prisoner into the wall and ground, taking them both out at once. He had to admit, after all these years of not fighting crime and losing a few of his battles the past week, this was something he dearly missed.
"Hey, Vinny!" Peter recognized one of the inmates. "It's been a long time!" He then shot a web at the man's face before yanking him into the wall. "Still doing life, I see." He then punched one of the other inmates and groaned. "Man, I really need to do some more stretching. Some of my joints are aching from all of this." He then tried to locate where Lois was, using his suit to backtrace the phone that sent him the message. "Where are you, Lois?"
He then got a ping on her phone from his mask and immediately jumped as he swung around the prison to find her. When he found Lois, she was backed up into a corner with a Taser stick in her hand, trying to fend off the inmates approaching her. She had been separated from him when the facility's backup arrived, and the doors locked between them.
"Get the hell back!" She cried out.
Before any of the inmates could come in and take a shot at her, Lois was suddenly blocked off by Spider-Man. He had come to protect his wife from these dangerous criminals in the middle of the prison.
Peter said, "This is the part where you run."
It seemed as if they were all aware of Peter and didn't even want to consider fighting him. They went running off to try and escape being beaten up by the superhero. Peter was relieved he didn't have to keep fighting and ran over to Lois.
Peter asked, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He looked over her face for any signs of injury.
"I'm fine," Lois promised him. "But, Peter, Cletus has a symbiote."
"What?" Peter was shocked to hear that. "The Carnage Killer has a Symbiote? Where?"
Lois pointed in the direction she had run from. "There's a sub-basement," she said. "There's an elevator that goes deeper than the others."
"Alright, let's get you out of here," Peter said as he held his hand out for her to take. Lois took it and Peter wrapped his arm around her waist as she did the same around his shoulders. "Just like our wedding."
Lois said, "I don't remember any prisoners at our wedding."
Peter extended his arm and shot out a web. "Good point. But I was still wearing the suit."
Lois didn't even bother responding; she only groaned at that reminder. Peter then yanked on the rope and swung them over the wall. Lois then let him get to work while she stayed behind and watched. He then leapt over the wall and began searching for the elevator.
Once he located the shaft, Peter swung through the dimly lit underground facility, his spider senses tingling with anticipation. He knew he had to stop the Carnage Killer from escaping and wreaking havoc in the prison. As he landed silently, he noticed the flickering lights casting eerie shadows on the cold, metal walls.
Suddenly, the ground shook as Carnage burst through a nearby door, his twisted appearance sending a chill down Spider-Man's spine. Carnage's tendrils snaked out, slashing through the air with deadly precision. Peter leapt as he swiftly dodged the attack, flipped into a defensive stance.
"Cletus, whatever this is, whatever Drake did to you, it ends here!" he shouted, shooting a web to disarm his foe. But Carnage was quick, effortlessly evading the webbing and lunging at Spider-Man with inhuman speed.
Their battle intensified, as Spider-Man's acrobatic moves clashed with Carnage's ferocious strikes. The sound of punches and impacts echoed throughout the facility, creating a symphony of chaos. Spider-Man's agility gave him an edge, enabling him to evade Carnage's razor-sharp tendrils and counter with swift, well-placed punches. However, due to having been out of the field for so long, Peter wasn't as fast as he used to be when trying to defend himself.
But Carnage was an unrelenting force. He extended his symbiotic limbs, lashing out from unexpected angles, forcing Spider-Man to stay on the defensive. The symbiote villain laughed maniacally, reveling in the chaos he was causing.
"It's been a long time since our first rodeo, all those years ago, Cletus." Peter commented. Determined to protect the innocent and to get out alive, Peter analyzed the situation. He utilized his web shooters to create a web shield, deflecting Carnage's attacks and buying himself a moment to strike back. He landed a powerful kick, sending Carnage crashing into a nearby wall. "And yet you never learned!"
However, Carnage's symbiote form allowed him to regenerate quickly. He sprang back into action, his tendrils morphing into deadly weapons. Spider-Man knew he had to end the fight before Carnage could cause any further destruction.
With a burst of speed and agility, Spider-Man launched a barrage of precision strikes, aiming for weak points in Carnage's symbiotic armor. Blow after blow landed, weakening the villain. Sensing victory within reach, Spider-Man unleashed a powerful web strike, ensnaring Carnage.
Just when he thought that it was all over, Carnage ripped through the webbing and grabbed Peter by the arms raising him up into the air. "Let there be Carnage!"
Just as hope seemed lost, and Peter was about to be devoured, a dark figure emerged from the shadows. Carnage seemed annoyed by the presence, while Peter was shocked to see him. "Venom?"
Venom's eerie white eyes glowed in the darkness as he lurched toward Carnage, engaging in a fierce battle that shook the very foundation of the city. As Venom came rushing toward Carnage, the red Symbiote ended up dropping Peter in the process as he regained his strength. Meanwhile, Venom's strength and agility matched Carnage blow for blow, creating a spectacle of raw power. The two symbiotes clashed, their tendrils entwining in a chaotic dance of destruction.
Peter, his strength waning, watched with amazement as Venom unleashed an onslaught of attacks against their shared enemy. Recognizing an opportunity, Spider-Man mustered whatever strength he had left and leapt into the fray, assisting Venom in their struggle against Carnage.
Together, the unlikely allies fought as a formidable team, their combined efforts pushing Carnage to the brink of defeat. Sensing the impending loss, Carnage unleashed a devastating attack, engulfing both Venom and Spider-Man in a cascade of destructive energy.
Then Peter had an idea and ran up to Carnage, tossing one of his prototype weapons he had been working on all morning, a sonic grenade, and allowed it to explode. Carnage and Venom screamed in pain, giving their hosts a momentary reprieve. Peter webbed onto Cletus and yanked him away from the creature. He webbed him to the wall and watched as Venom grabbed and began to chow down on the Carnage Symbiote. Panting heavily, Peter stood over his defeated foe, ensuring Carnage was securely webbed up. The underground facility had fallen silent; the battle's echoes slowly faded away. Then he looked over towards Venom and wondered what to do next.
"Eddie?" Peter got Eddie's attention. "You in there?" he asked. Venom marched over to Peter and grabbed him by the throat. "Eddie!"
"Help..." Venom said, getting a confused look from Peter. "Help... me stop...him!"
"Stop him?" Peter asked, unsure of what was happening.
Before Peter could figure it out, Venom started to transfer a small fraction of himself before throwing Peter to the side. He then leapt out of the hole he created and ran into the open city. Peter groaned as he realized he wasn't ready to go up against symbiotes, noticing that a small fragment of Venom had been left behind and attached itself to him. If Drake was experimenting on Venom, there could be dozens of people out there with dozens of these symbiotes attached to them. And if Cletus was any indication, then he needed to start training himself to be stronger.
Peter started to scurry his way out of the prison when he heard what sounded like a gun cocking. He looked over to where the gun cocked and saw a Japanese-American woman with chin-length black hair and an athletic build. She was often seen wearing a black leather jacket over a red and black flannel shirt with tight dark denim jeans and black boots.
"Spider-Man." She greeted sternly.
"Ugh, look, if you believe Jameson, please, understand that I'm not here to cause harm," Peter told her.
"Think I believe Jameson?" She asks as she places her gun away. "Just expected one of those creatures. The red."
peter looked down at his suit and understood her confusion. "Okay...where is this going?"
The woman raised her hand for Peter to shake. "Captain Yuriko Watanabe. But I'm usually referred to as Yuri."
"Spider-Man." Peter introduced himself playfully. "I usually go by... Spider-Man. Have we met? I'm sorry, but the name sounds familiar."
Yuri crossed her arms. "Figured you wouldn't remember. I was basically a rookie when you left New York. You saved me and my partner Jefferson from a bomb set off by Scorpion."
"You would be sorry to hear that doesn't exactly narrow it down for me." Peter was sorry to admit it.
Yuri chuckled and rolled her head around. "It's good to have you back, Spider-Man. What happened to Metropolis?"
"Meh, they didn't seem to need a friendly neighborhood Spider after a few years," Peter said, that is the best excuse to keep his family safe. "Then when I got word of my enemies coming back from the dead..."
"Well, we're glad to have you back, Spider-Man," Yuri said with relief. "Especially now."
"What do you mean?" Peter was curious to know what she already knew.
"Ryker's was doing some rehabilitation on some of your old enemies," Yuri explained and looked to the chaos. "And none of them have been accountable for after this erupted."
"Who was here?" Peter was afraid to ask.
Yuri took a tablet from her car and showed it to him. Peter was filled with fear when he saw just who had escaped from Rykers. "Martin Li. Mysterio. Vulture. Rhino. And Electro." She listed off everyone. "That makes six of your greatest enemies."
"Great," Peter sighed and knew that would be a pain to deal with later. "Alright, so...does this mean we're partners in this?"
"Call it what you will," Yuri said to him. "I just have a feeling we will be getting a lot done working together than fighting each other like in the past."
"You know, you are starting to become my favorite officer," Peter tells her.
"How many officers do you know on the force?" Yuri wonders.
Peter had to consider that as all the other members he knew must be retired by now. "Okay, fair." He then shot out a web to start swinging. "I'll let you know when I find something!"

Meanwhile, Harry was making his way back to his RV and tossed his bag inside. Lois, however, wasn't letting him go that easily; she managed to keep up with him after escaping from the prison.
"Hey!" Lois called out to him. "We need to talk about what just happened back there."
"About what?" Harry asked her. "You saw what happened back there. Drake is creating an army of Symbiotes. That's your story."
"You are armed to the teeth with weapons that would put you on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most-wanted list, and I sent a photo of those badges to a friend of mine, and she said that it's one of the best forgeries she has ever seen." Lois went down the list of reasons. "So, why don't you tell me the truth about why you are in New York? And what you are doing here, because I don't believe you are just some reporter."
Harry knew that things were falling apart with Cletus getting the Symbiote and knew what was likely going to come next. "I can't tell you everything," he said. "But what I can tell you is that I am trying to prevent the end of the world."
Lois says, "From Carnage?"
Harry explains to him, "From all the Symbiotes. Carnage will be just the first of many to come."
Lois asked, "And what are you planning to do?"
"That depends on what you are willing to do to help," Harry tells her.
"What's that?" asked Lois, not following.
Harry said, "I want to have a meeting with Spider-Man."
"You want to meet Spider-Man?" Lois asked, crossing her arms. She wasn't exactly sure she saw that as a good idea to connect this man to her husband.
"You want answers? I want to tell Spider-Man everything." Harry explains.
Lois says, "I am not at liberty to connect you with people."
"I think that the potential end of the world might warrant an exception," Harry tells her.
Lois still wasn't sure as she looked him in the eye. "Fine. Just tell me one thing. Can I trust you?"
Harry gave her a stern expression. "I just want to save the world."
Lois looked at him and saw he was being sincere, so she decided to go through with it. "Alright. But first, I want something from you." She then looked down to his badge. "That."
Harry shrugged and handed her the badge freely. Lois nodded as she took the badge, Harry not realizing that he had given her his DNA and fingerprints, meaning that she could use them to figure out what was going on. She started to walk away and watched Spider-Man swing away from the prison before giving him a call.
"Glad you're okay. How did it go?" Lois asked as she walked down the street.
"Fought my way through a prison full of the people I've put away for the past ten years, found an old enemy, and made a new one. Usual 9-to-5." Peter quipped.
"Sounds great." Lois sighed as she now needed to talk to him about this. "Listen, I need a favor from you..."

Back at school, Mayday was getting ready for her cheerleading meeting while April was there to hang out. She didn't want to go home just yet, and saw that she could stay with her sister.
April said, "I honestly don't see what he saw in her anyway."
"Well, you know what people say about getting to know someone." Mayday shrugged as she fixed her skirt. "He must have seen something beyond that rough exterior."
"Well, he must hav some patience." April scoffed. "I honestly don't get why you like cheerleading so much. Even with that uniform."
Mayday looked over her shirt and skirt in confusion as to what her sister had said. "What? I like it. You think I work out this often just to hide it?"
"Is it the working our, or our dad's spider DNA?" April wonders. "I mean, I get what people say about turning into their parents, but...do you really want to be come a superhero?"
I mean... dad seems to be against it. For now." Mayday commented as she closed her locker. "But if I get the chance, I want to be able to prove myself. I kinda like it. The idea of being able to help people, fight bad guys..."
"The beating, lack of sleep, and constant worry were taking their toll on you." April went over the bad side. "Not to mention the willpower it would take to stay in control of those powers."
"Well, everything has a pro and con list." Mayday defended. "It's more of if it is worth the risk."
While they were talking in the locker room, outside the room, Allison and Heather were discussing her recent breakup. Well, Heather was, Allison was still upset about the recent thing and hasn't even said a word since.
"He forgot about you; it's his loss," Heather said, expecting some sort of response. "Will you talk to me, Allison? Come on, what is it?"
Allison stopped as she turned to face her. "What? I was just dumped, and you think I want to be around you when I'm grieving?"
Heather however, seemed to finally have enough of the abuse. "Screw you, Allison. I've been nothing but friendly to you, but you just push me around." She then scoffed and started to sell away. "I need a break from you, too."
Allison watched as she walked off and groaned. "The feeling is mutual!"
Allison then looked around at the now empty hallways and snarled. Following this, her anger grew even more intense, and her hands began to emit small bursts of electricity. As she threw her hands outward, a powerful surge of energy shot from them, traveling along the metal lockers. Stunned by what had just happened, Allison stared at her hands in disbelief, noticing that the sparks continued to dance across her skin.
"What the hell?"

Lois and Peter arranged to meet up to discuss their next course of action. Upon arriving, Peter's suit showed signs of wear and tear from his recent encounter with Carnage. He recounted to Lois the events that took place and how they transpired, detailing the danger that Carnage posed and the unexpected twist in which Venom appeared to be a victim. Both Lois and Peter were perplexed by this revelation, as they had always viewed Venom as a villain. However, they remained vigilant and aware of the potential threat that Carnage posed, especially with the possibility of more being created by Drake. Lois also told him about Gabriel and he wasn't sure what to consider about him.
"So, he said he wants to talk?" Peter asks Lois.
"Said he is ready to explain everything, but only to you." Lois shrugged. "Maybe because you have a history dealing with Symbiotes."
Peter sighed as he considered what he would need to do. "Alright. I'll go and meet him. What are you gonna do?"
Lois showed him the badge she took. "I am gonna go run this by your sister and see what she can tell me about him."
Peter chuckled and nodded his head. "You took his prints; you're good."
"Don't sound so surprised," Lois snapped back. "Good luck."
Peter nodded as he shot out a web to swing off to his meet and Lois waited for Teresa. She came on by in her own personal S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle and allowed Lois to enter, showing that she had an entire setup in the back.
"Welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D. on wheels," Teresa quipped. "Let's see those prints."
Lois handed her sister-in-law the card. "Hope I didn't ruin them."
"Eh, our equipment can tell them all apart," Teresa promised as she started to run the prints through their network. But then she came to a great surprise. "Okay, that's weird."
Lois asked, "What is it?"
Teresa explained. "It says here these prints don't match anyone on Earth."
"What about the dead?" Lois wondered.
"No," Teresa said in confusion. "We've dealt with the dead coming back so much, that we decided to not count anyone out. Whoever this guy is, he is not registered in any of our databases."
Harry returned to his abandoned factory where he had set his RV up and knew that now he needed to prepare for when Spider-Man did show up. He used all of the tech that he managed to steal from the Avengers before Spider-Man's return and got to the building. He got to work fast at building something that he knew could help him in his cause just when Spider-Man came down on a web from the opening.
"You could have just used the door," Harry told Spider-Man.
"Figured that would be too obvious," Peter stated as he dropped from his web onto the ground. He was on edge, wondering if something was going to happen. "Gotta say, interesting place to meet up."
"Always felt comfortable around warehouses," Harry stated. "Used to be an inventor. Scientist even."
"You know, I am something of a scientist myself," Peter said as he approached Harry.
"Been a while since I had the chance to do it. Nobody paying in recent days." Harry joked.
Peter says, "You mean like Norman Osborn?"
Harry stopped working and eyed Spider-Man. "That was a different life."
Peter then caressed his hand over the crates. "You told Lois something about trying to prevent the end of the world."
"That's right," said Harry as he leaned back. "The world will be destroyed unless I save it."
Peter asked, "And how do you plan on doing that?"
"By eliminating the threat," Harry snarled at Peter.
Peter asked, "And that's the threat, Carlton Drake?"
Harry said, "Drake is involved, but he won't be the main source of destruction."
Teresa and Lois sat in the van, anxiously awaiting any news on the scanner. Suddenly, they heard a beep indicating a match had been found in the database. As they eagerly looked over the results, confusion set in as they realized it was only a partial print match. After some further analysis, they were stunned to discover that the match belonged to none other than Norman Osborn, leaving them with more questions than answers.
Teresa asks in shock, "Norman Osborn?"
Lois said, "That can't be right. Does Norman have any relatives?"
"No, no relatives, and he wasn't even married." Teresa wasn't sure what to make of this.
But when the thought occurred to them that Peter might be in danger, they ran to the front of the van to try and find him.
Back home, April was currently walking up the stairway when her head started to hurt again. Just like it did when they were almost attacked by Kraven. She grabbed her head and fell against the wall and she started to get a vision. She saw her father on the ground, getting beaten to death by someone with metal gloves. When she was crying in pain, Mayday overheard and ran outside her bedroom to see her sister.
"April!" Mayday ran over to her sister's side. "April, what's wrong?"
"It-It's Dad!" April stammered through the vision. "I think he's in trouble."
Mayday asks, "Where?"
April couldn't pinpoint exactly where, but she could feel it, so Mayday didn't waste any time; she took her sister to the car and they drove off. She wasn't exactly the most experienced driver, but she was good enough to at least get them moving.
"Okay, you need to tell me where I am going," Mayday warned her sister.
"I know!" April cried in terror. "I am working on it!" She then tried to get the vision back, but all she got were constant flashes, which showed her dad getting hurt, but a few of them showed specific landmarks. "That way!"
She turned the car in the direction her sister was pointing and hoped they would make it in time.
Peter asked, "If Drake isn't the cause of this, then who is?"
Harry looked him down in anger. "I already told you, Spider-Man. I saw it. It was you."
Peter started putting it together and getting ready to fight this man. He knew exactly who he was. "You're the Goblin!"
Peter then went to try and strike when he felt his senses alert him of danger coming. But before discovering it, a few small explosions of gas went off in the containers, and the chemicals that he stole a while back filled the room, causing Peter to become weakened and drop to his knees. Harry however wasn't affected as he stood up and approached Peter.
Harry figured you would try that. "I set the devices on sensors; they activated when anything came too close."
"Why are you doing this?" Peter groaned in pain that the gas was causing.
"Like I said, I am here to save the world," Harry stated as he picked up a gauntlet. "You see here, Spider-Man, you are not the hero. I am!" He then punched Peter in the face with his gauntlet, sending Peter flying. Peter skidded as he slammed into a metal container. "These gauntlets, I designed them so that the more kinetic energy they store, the stronger they hit. So, one punch from these can rival a punch from a car. But added with the Globulin Green formula my dad made, it rivals a punch from Spider-Man!" Harry then placed on some mechanical boots he had stored nearby and kicked Peter in the face and stepped on his head. "This hero act of yours, it's all propaganda. A way to soften the masses before you turn on them!"
Peter groaned as he tried to stand. "You're wrong about me," he said.
Harry didn't seem to be listening; he just grabbed Peter by the collar and dragged him to his face. "I made a promise to kill you once. I couldn't keep that promise on my world, but I sure as hell am gonna keep it here."
But before Harry could keep that promise, Mayday and April came speeding in and rammed Harry with the car. This sent Harry flying across the room and slamming into the container. April and Mayday got out to try and help their dad, but the moment that they did, they were affected by the gas as well. Peter saw his kids were starting to be affected and worried for their safety. He started to try and get back up, but it was to no avail. He had no strength left. Or so he thought. Suddenly, the small fraction of the Symbiote that he was given was beginning to consume him. It was giving him strength. It was clearing his head of the gas. It was giving him a chance to save his kids.
Peter didn't even need to consider what to do; he quickly stretched out his hands and tentacles swarmed around and grabbed the girls. Needing to get them to safety, he used his Symbiote powers and strength to rip open the ceiling and catapulted himself and his girls outside. From there, they could begin to get some fresh air and clear their heads of the gas. But he wasn't done yet. Harry was going to pay. Leaping back inside, he crushed another hole in the ceiling, creating a bunch of rubble and causing Harry to look towards him. What he saw was what he knew Peter was. As Peter marched his way towards Harry, all he saw was the same monster that took his world away from him.
As Peter grabbed Harry by the collar, just as he had done to him, and was ready to give him a beating, but before he could proceed, a cry from somewhere nearby caused him to freeze in his tracks.
"Stop!" Lois cried as she and Teresa entered the warehouse and found this...odd situation. "It's over."
Peter looked down at his costume and was a little surprised when it finally dawned on him that he was wearing the Symbiote suit. He looked down at Harry and he finally started to calm down; he then dropped Harry and he fell unconscious. He retracted his mask and Peter sighed as he tried to calm himself down. That wasn't the Symbiote. That was his parental instinct to protect his kids. That was even odder when he realized that the suit wasn't affecting him.
Peter told his family, "Call Nick Fury; tell him we have the Goblin in custody."
And that was their next stop. The girls were being looked over by S.H.I.E.L.D. doctors while Lois and Peter watched on the monitors; Harry was sitting in his cell silently.
"So, this guy is somehow related to Norman Osborn, and he's using his tech to try and kill you?" Teresa asks.
"Wouldn't be the first time someone stole some other guy's tech to try and kill me," Peter commented.
Teresa says, eyeing one of their agents. "Want Trask to take a run at him? Try and loosen him up."
"Nobody talks to him until Director Fury arrives in the morning," Maria Hill says.
"And when he does, I want to go in first." Peter stated.
Lois said, "I should have figured it out sooner."
Teresa scoffed. "Lois, come on, you can't be that hard on yourself."
I am supposed to be this incredible reporter, but I got fooled tonight, and someone almost murdered my husband and my kids," Lois said as she eyed her family.
"It's not that simple," Peter said in defense of her. "The guy's from another world."
Lois nodded as she eyed the camera. "I still think there's more he's not telling us."
Peter nodded in agreement. "So do I. Which is why this guy isn't going anywhere until we find out everything he knows."
"If it wasn't for the girls..." Lois was thinking of what could have happened. "you might have died tonight."
"I was lucky April's senses clicked when it did." Peter commented.
"With everything this family is facing, we can't rely on luck." Lois sighed. "We're not protecting the girls by keeping secrets from them."
"So, what do you want me to tell them?" Teresa wondered.
"Everything."
April and Mayday had been looked over and it seemed they were going to be okay. The gas had left their systems and they were told that they needed to keep everything under wraps.
"It feels like everything since we got here has just been one big secret after another," Mayday commented.
"Yeah. I just, I want it to go back to normal so bad." April sighed
"To be fair, sis, I mean, pretty sure all normal people have stuff that they're hiding, too," Mayday said, causing her and her sister to giggle. "Tonight's probably been the most scared I've ever been in my life."
"But, I gotta say, it was also pretty awesome," April said. "You totally destroyed Dad's car by ramming that guy."
Mayday giggled. "Yeah, that was pretty sick. I don't even have a learner's permit."
"Or know how to drive."
"I know! I was like..."
"Which was incredibly reckless and dangerous and irresponsible," Peter said as he and Lois approached them in the infirmary. "And absolutely necessary." The girls were surprised by his statement. "You both saved my life tonight, so I think I owe you a pretty big thank you."
"Listen, we know that you two must have a lot of questions about what's been going on around here," Lois says to the girls. "We've taught you not to keep secrets from us. So we're not gonna keep secrets from you anymore."
"Isn't most of this stuff, like, classified, though?" Mayday asks, gesturing around the base.
"Yes," Peter confirmed.
"Which is why none of what we tell you can ever leave this house," Lois tells them. "Is that understood?"
"Definitely." "Yeah."
"All right, who wants to go first?" asked Lois.
Mayday wondered, "What was the deal with that guy tonight?"
Harry's mind was filled with memories of the last time he saw his beloved daughter. She was a young girl with beautiful, curled black hair that resembled her mother's. His heart ached as he entered the bunker where he and Sarah Osborn were staying. He knew that he had to break the news to Sarah about his decision to go and put an end to the war against the Symbiotes. He could feel the weight of the world on his shoulders as he prepared to face the dangerous and uncertain journey ahead of him. Despite the fear and uncertainty, Harry was determined to do whatever it took to ensure a better future for his daughter and all those who have suffered under the Symbiotes' rule.
"I just doubled the output on the reflex modules, which means..." Sara was saying when she noticed her dad's face.
"We found their main breeding ground," Harry confirmed. "It's time."
"Right now?" Sarah asks. "But the tracking inlay's still glitchy. And we haven't finished the weapons yet."
"I know," said Harry. "But it has to be now. My ship will be here in two minutes." He saw the look of worry on her face. "Look, this is what we've been preparing for. Our one chance to end it."
"I just...," Sarah said, worried about her father. "I don't want anything to happen to you."
Harry took his daughter into his arms and hugged her. "I'm going out there to kill him, and then I'll come right back."
Sarah told her father, "I love you."
"I love you too, Spark-plug," Harry said as he grabbed his bag and walked to the door. "More than anything in this world. I'll be right back. I promise."
And that was the last time he ever saw his daughter. He had lost everything that day - his world, his wife, and his daughter. And he was going to make sure that Spider-Man didn't get away with it.
Allison was now home, having reached for a lightbulb she had laid out on the table. There were several other broken bulbs surrounding this one in her hand. As she picked it up, nothing unusual occurred. However, when she focused, she watched as sparks traveled and lit up the lightbulb in her hand.
Allison was amazed by her newfound ability and decided to test it out a bit further. She first used it on some household items, zapping them with electricity. Then, she sent a spark towards the television, which immediately turned on and began playing the news.
"Luckily, Spider-Man was there to stop the riot at the prison. However, reports have stated that six dangerous criminals have escaped." Allison noticed the photos of the unaccounted prisoners. "The ones who are still missing are the likes of Quinten Beck, better known as Mysterio; Martin Li, Mr. Negative; Mac Gargan, Scorpion; Adrian Toomes, Vulture; Aleksei Sytsevich, the Rhino; and Max Dillon, also known as..."
"Dad?" Allison asks.
Allison was shocked to discover that her father had been released from prison. Well, he escaped, but that's just details. She hoped that he could help her better understand these strange new powers she possessed. First, she needed to find him.
Eddie Brock wandered the streets of New York, pulling his hood over his eyes as he eyed the city. Terrible things were coming, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to stick around and see what was going to happen next.
