Y/N couldn't believe it. Sonic has fallen into the clutches of the Metarex generals just to save everyone's lives, including her. She prayed that Sonic will survive the water in the Planet Aquarius. Y/N needs to do something and was about to do her crystal magic when Shadow placed a hand on her shoulder. She turned to see him giving her a look and shaking his head to tell her not to do anything irrational. Y/N sighed, feeling herself teared up as she watches the three heads of Final Mova.

Chris and Knuckles enter the bridge.

"Chris... Knuckles..." Tails voiced.

"We're sorry. We couldn't help Sonic." Chris sadly said.

"Sonic is fine!"

The others are surprised and turned to Cosmo.

"This amulet is a very special one. It belonged to my mother long ago. Sometimes it shows me thing others cannot see. He'll be all right."

The others smile.

"Really?"

"Yeah, that's right! He won't lose that easily!" Knuckles said. "That guy can survive anything!"

"And if Sonic can survive, then we can too. Isn't that right, Cosmo?" Chris said.

The ship shakes.

"Eggman here. Do you read me? You won't believe what's just happened!" Eggman called over the video.

It is revealed that the Crimson Egg has docked with the Blue Typhoon.

"It appears my Egg Crimson has rather conveniently collided with your Typhoon!"

The heads of Narcissus and Bayleaf suddenly lunge at the Typhoon, which pulls back.

"Uh-oh!"

"That was close." Rouge said as she, Amy, and Cream are in Blue Typhoon as well.

"You kids okay?"

Rouge, Amy, and Cream turn to see the Chaotix approaching.

"Looks like Eggman's up to something." Espio guessed.

"A cowardly trick. Ol' Egghead landed his ship on yours so he wouldn't have to fight alone!" Vector added.

"We don't want that Egghead on our ship!" Amy growled.

"What else would you suggest? That creepy colossus is up the whole galaxy! I should think you'd be happy to team up against these botanical beasties." Eggman sassed.

Standing atop the Crimson Egg, Shadow and Y/N watches Final Mova. Y/N softly smiled to hear Cosmo giving good news that Sonic is okay over the intercom. 

"If forestation continues, there will be no creatures left in the galaxy." Eggman continued.

"What a horrible thing to do!" Decoe exclaimed.

"How could they be so selfish?" Bocoe asked.

"Come on, everybody!" Bokkun shouted, moving his arms around. "Let's grab some really big and show 'em who's boss!"

The Crimson Egg fires many missiles at Dark Oak's dragon head. They either miss or do no damage.

Cosmo places her hand on her amulet.

"Cosmo, do not fear. I am always with you. Through this amulet, I am watching and guiding you to your destiny." Earthia said in her thought.

There is a flashback of the Seedrians in Mover Mode battling their enemies.

"Our planet may have been destroyed long ago, but through you, my daughter, the spirit of our people will live on. Look for the light at the end of the darkness. It is there in your heart."

More missiles don't do anything to Final Mova.

"Our weak attacks won't change anything!" Knuckles shouted.

"If we charge him, he'll destroy us before we can get close!" Rouge said.

"Well, we have to do something!" Amy pointed out.

"There's got to be some way we can break them, something we haven't thought of." Chris said.

"We got your secret weapon right here! Sure, I may be small, but I'm--"

Espio covers Charmy's mouth.

"Put a cork in it, Charmy."

"Finding a weak spot in that gargantual green meanie out there isn't going to be easy. With the combined power of the Chaos Emeralds, not to mention the Planet Eggs, that three-headed dino boy's a mighty powerful monster." Eggman explained over the video.

"What about the Master Emerald?" Knuckles asked.

"Knuckles, nice idea!" Amy praised him.

"If we charge up the Master Emerald enough, we might be able to cause some kind of Chaos reaction."

"Well, it's worth a try." Chris said.

Tails takes Knuckles' hands in his own.

"This just might be the idea we're looking for. I gotta hand it to you, Knuckles. Let's get to work on this right away!"

"Thank you, Knuckles!" Cream smiled.

"Chao!" Cheese said in agreement.

Knuckles smiles at the support he receives.

"Aw, it was no big deal."

"I admire your decision. You're willing to sacrifice the Master Emerald in order to save the universe." Eggman said.

"Sacrifice? What do you mean?"

"We are going up against a whole lot of concentrated energy."

"Scientifically speaking, even if we charge the Master Emerald capacity, it still might not work." Tails explained.

"So what then?" Knuckles asked.

"Guess you'll find out soon enough, tiger."

Rouge slaps Knuckles's back.

"I say Knuckles' idea has to work. This is our only hope for getting Sonic back." Cream said.

"And don't forget, you got the teamin' Chaotix Detective Agency on your side." Vector added.

"Yeah, in case the whole thing goes bust!" Charmy agreed.

"Hey, wait a minute! What if it does go bust? What if the Master Emerald needs more energy that we've got?!  If we lose the Master Emerald, how are we going to fire the Sonic Driver?"

"I have an idea. You can use the Egg Crimson for backup just in case you need a little more... shall we say... juice." Eggman said with a joke.

Knuckles sweatdropped.

"Eheheh... Good idea, Eggy."

"You know, this is almost heartwarming, everybody working together like this." Espio said.

"Don't get carried away."

Cosmo laughs.

"I believe in everyone of you. And I believe Knuckles' idea will work. Let's all do this for Sonic. He would want us to keep on fighting." Y/N said over the intercom from her wrist as she smiles at the others on screen.

"Yeah!!"

"Your time is up, my friends!"

Y/N looks up to see that all three heads of Final Mova are speeding directly toward the two ships. Shadow spins toward Dark Oak's head, but he flips him away and lunges for him. Shadow holds his head at bay.

"Shadow!" Y/N shouted and jumped after him.

While Shadow holds Oak's head at bay, Bayleaf and Narcissus also close in. The Crimson Egg fires all its weapons.

"Missile those monsters!"

"I'll hit them with a laser attack!"

Shadow starts making headway.

"Take this, you three-headed freak!"

Once Oak's head is pushed far enough away, Shadow lets go. Y/N who's in midair in space lassoed her whip towards Shadow and brought him towards her so they get a safe distance from Oak. Cream in her own spaceship and Amy and Rouge in two of Eggman's take off. Narcissus fires several spikes out of his hide at the spaceships, which dodge.

"Give it your best shot, fang-face!" Amy glared.

Meanwhile, the Chaotix cling to Bayleaf's neck.

"Hang on tight, Espio! He's a slippery one!" Vector exclaimed.

"Yeah. Cranky, too." Charmy added.

Shadow launches a Chaos Spear, and Y/N launches out light-based energy shards from her crystal, which goes just wide of Oak. He swats Shadow and Y/N away with his head. Shadow and Y/N together barrels into him. The Crimson Egg continues firing its weapons. Oak is finally forced back.

Chris finishes a job in the Crimson Egg.

"Okay, you guys. The power cannon is all set up and ready to go. We hooked it up to the Egg Crimson for backup."

"Glad we could be of assistance, kid. But, uh, there may be one slight problem." Eggman said.

Chris is surprised.

"Well, I... I used the Master Emerald's energy as a connector to synchronize my world with this one, and then I teleported."

"Sure you did."

There is a flashback of Chris arriving on Mobius.

"You used the Master Emerald as a connector all right..."

Then the flashback shows Chris's shrunken body.

"...but when you teleported, you lost six years because of an interdimensional warp strain. Hence that inconvenient, not to mention embarrassing, shift from strapping young man back to annoying squirt."

The flashback ends.

"Those lost years were stored as particle data inside the Master Emerald's energy centers for safekeeping."

"Isn't is astonishing how the doctor knows absolutely everything?" Decoe smiled.

"He is a genius with a captial G." Bocoe agreed.

"So you're really eighteen, huh? Too bad you're a total shrimpy wimp!" Bokkun teased.

Chris gets fed up with Eggman's hench-bots.

"Who are you calling shrimp?!"

"I'm not done~" Eggman pointed out and began typing. "The bad news is that if we use up a large portion of the Master Emerald's energy, you just may be stuck here junior. Your particle data may disipate within moments of charging. In turn, I'm afraid it may take years to renew its curent structure. Which means that you mey never be able to return to your world, and even if you do, your molecular structure could possibly be permanently damaged."

"Oh no..."

He thinks of his parents. Ella and Tanaka. Grandpa Chuck. Danny, Frances, Hikaru, and Uncle Sam Speed. Even his girlfriend Helen. He can't bear to go without seeing them again.

"Sonic Power Cannon, backup to Egg Crimson, and... Connect. If it means saving my friends from danger, I'm willing to take the chance!"

"You're really going through with this, aren't you?" Eggman asked.

"I'll just have to believe I'll see my folks again one day, and when I do, I want them to be proud of me!"

Eggman grins.

"I have to admit, you are not so bad after all, kid."

"Yeah, and here we thought you were just this sniveling little brat. But you are not sniveling at all!" Bocoe said.

"Sure he ain't! You know, deep down, I always know you were an okay kid, but these two bozos wouldn't believe me." Bokkun said.

"Who are you calling bozos?" Decoe glared.

Chris is amused to tears.

"Hey, thanks a lot, you guys. I don't know what to say."

Everyone looks at Chris, amazed at his bravery.

"I'm not gonna let the Metarex win this!"

"You're pretty tough, kid."

In the second bridge

"Alright, Tails, it looks like the backup with Egg Crimson has been completed." Cosmo announced.

"I reprogrammed the Power Cannon so it'll receive a sustained charge from all sources. We're ready." he said, feeling determined.

"The seven Chaos Emeralds are the servers. Chaos is the power enriched by the heart. Chaos is the power enriched by the heart!" Knuckles called out to the Master Emerald.

Meanwhile, in space, the fighters aren't doing well.

"Back off!" Cream glared.

Rouge's console is sparking.

"Terrific."

She gets out of the ship.

"Thanks for the hunk of junk."

She kicks the discarded ship at Narcissus. Meanwhile, the Chaotix are climbing up Bayleaf. Espio throws several exploding shurikens at Bayleaf. They explode, but Bayleaf appears out of the cloud and lunges for Espio, who becomes invisible to dodge the attack. Vector breathes fire at Bayleaf, which seems to have some effect. Espio reappears.

"It's time!" Tails voiced.

"The controller serves to unify the Chaos! Come on, Master Emerald! Come through! You're our last chance! If this does not work, the Metarex will win, and I will not let that happen!" Knuckles shouted.

The Master Emerald emits so much power that it begins to crack.

"Come on, Master Emerald, you can do this. I know you can. You're strong enough. Don't let us down!"

More cracks form.

"Please give us your power! Give us the power to protect everyone!"

"Master Emerald's energy is amplifying. 90... 100... 120!" Chris counted, looking at the screen.

Dark Oak wraps several tendrils around Shadow and Y/N, who runs around the Crimson Egg trying to break free. Y/N managed to cut out tendrils since they're made out of vines with her katana and tried to free Shadow as they struggled to pull.

"Connecting energy from the Master Emerald to the cannon's hammer!" Tails announced. "Okay, Chris. Deactivating trigger safety. Set target for 12:00."

The galactic tug-of-war is on.

"Maximum angle of elevation!" Eggman ordered.

The Crimson Egg and, in essence, the Blue Typhoon, tilt to the side. The Sonic Driver rises out of the Typhoon. Narcissus and Bayleaf lunge toward the ships.

"Get ready, Master Emerald! Full power!!" Knuckles said.

Even more cracks form in the Master Emerald.

"Fire Sonic Driver!" Chris, Knuckles, and Tails shouted together.

The Sonic Driver fires an incredibly huge Kamehameha-scale energy blast at Final Mova, damaging the three heads, freeing Shadow, and striking the base of the tree. The entire planet is enveloped in a giant light. So are everything and everyone.

Sonic is running in an endless field of white. Dark Oak's voice booms to him from everywhere.

"From the past to the future... From one end of the universe to the other... The same thing awaits all planets and creatures. Beasts fight and devour each other. The plants wither, and the world ends."

The environment changes to a bone-dry one.

"Eventually, a new species appears."

Plants begin to spring up.

"But the same thing repeats."

Sonic dodges sand monsters as they spring up, lunge at him, and disappear into the ground.

"These are the memories of the planets."

The sand monsters are behind Sonic now.

"They're angry and sad memories because beasts killed them. I will fix the universe. There will be no more destruction. The beautiful and silent world will last for eternity."

Sonic is now suspended in midair in a forestated world. In slow motion, he leaps down to the forest below.

"Give up! What's the point of running in a world that has nothing but destruction?"

Sonic lands on a branch and runs back up the tree. He then leaps to the top of another tree. After a pause, he leaps from treetop to treetop.

"You still have faith. The memories from the beginning to the end of the universe are gathered here. They all contradict your hope."

"It's not the end. I can still run!"

He runs faster. Suddenly, large green tentacled sway around him. Sonic dodges and cuts through them.

"And you, hedgehog. You are the same as all beasts and humans! None can coexist with nature, so you must all be destroyed!"

"Think so?"

He continues to cut through the tentacles.

"Keep running forever in vain, hero of the beasts! There is no hope left for you. Why don't you give up?"

"No, I'm going home because everyone's waiting for me. My sis is waiting for me."

The tentacles stop attacking, and Sonic runs even faster.

"Friends, hedgehog? They have forgotten you. But then, that's the way of such fickle creatures."

Sonic breaks the sound barrier.

"Go ahead. Keep running, Sonic the Hedgehog. Soon your freedom to run wild and free will be gone. Soon you will be still and silent... forever!"

But Sonic is not deterred.

"Do your best, buddy!"

Dark Oak laughs as it absorbs the Planet Eggs. Everyone looks on. He suddenly roars and stops.

"Hey, look. He stopped!" Chris said.

"I have to hand it to you kid. It looks like your Master Emerald master plan worked like a charm." Eggman said.

"We did it!" Tails cheered.

The Master Emerald is shattered. Knuckles picks up one of the pieces. Amy flies toward Aqurius.

"Sonic!"

Sonic is unconscious under the waters of Aqurius.

"Sonic!"

Sonic slowly opens his eyes. Amy continues her descent.

"Sonic!"

But several vines grab her ship. Sonic sees this.

"Amy!"

Amy ejects as the ship explodes. She lands unconscious under the surface of Aqurius. Sonic swims up and catches her. They sink together.

"Sonic... It's you... You saved me... I knew you would..."

They are enveloped in a white light. They find themselves surrounded in a bubble being floated back toward the surface.

"This is..." he started.

"Our planet's Planet Egg!" Amy exclaimed.

They are floated out of Aqurius, where the bubble pops.

"Sonic!!"

Everyone looks on as Sonic and Amy float safely away from Aqurius and Final Mova. Chris heads out in his ship to collect them. Knuckles enters the second bridge. Y/N follows after, looking thrilled to see her brother okay as Shadow follows her.

"Hey everybody, check it out! Something really weird is happening now. Look!" Tails said.

Chris, Sonic, Amy, Y/N, and Shadow look over to see the waters rising around Final Mova. The heads of Bayleaf and Narcissus are missing.

"You tried to destroy us, but we are more powerful than you will ever know! The Chaos eternal seed! We shall become as one with Chaos forevermore!"

The water rises above the three dragons. Dark Oak dissolves.

"He's gone."

"And now the birth of a new galaxy - a galaxy of tranquility, of emptiness! I call you!"

"He's merged with the energy of the Master Emerald. Somehow he's more powerful than ever now."

Cosmo's amulet starts to glow.

"Dark Oak..."

Final Nova and Aqurius harden into a pulsating seed-like object. Phase Two has begun.
