It is nighttime and Y/N is sitting on the roof of the mansion staring at the stars in the night sky. As she was stargazing, she suddenly felt something in her backpack and took it out to reveal her diamond shaped crystal glowing white. Y/N had no idea what's happening until the light went brighter, surrounding her like she was being pulled in. She closed her eyes shut for any impact, but nothing happened to her. She slowly opened them to find herself in the strange area with bright blue sky from top to bottom like she's in the sky. Right behind her is the Tree of the World and of the Apple. From the top, there's what appears to look be a glass roof with a colorful windows and it's spinning around like it's a Room of the Time.

"It's...beautiful.. And strange.. Did the crystal bring me here?" she asked herself and looked at the crystal in her hand. "What's going on?"

Y/N stood there for a moment and noticed the apple was about to fall from the tree and she quickly caught it. She looked at it to see a beautiful red apple that shines like a sun. She doesn't know whether or not she should bite it and made a quick decision and placed it on the ground gently. Everything was quiet and peaceful. Then, her crystal glowed bright again and the light covered her once again. Y/N found herself back on the roof where she was sitting. The crystal stopped glowing.

"Woah.." she said and put it inside her backpack.

She was about to go back to get some rest when she saw something flying. It was someone flying with a familiar bat wings. No bats should fly in the city. Odd. Y/N followed after the mysterious person and jumped off the roof onto the gate to every building she could jump and run on. When she made it and caught up to them, they're in front of the museum as the figure is hanging upside down in a tree. Y/N couldn't make out who this person is because it's dark. The mysterious figure looked through their jewel scope before taking off in the direction of the museum. Y/N quietly followed behind as they went inside.

Once they're in, Y/N noticed there's cameras watching and this person doesn't care. She quickly took out her ninja stars and threw them and destroyed the camera. She then ran after that person and saw them approaching the jewel. Y/N squinted her eyes and was shocked to see the person is the bat, but not just a bat. It's Rouge. How did she get here?

"Hello, gorgeous..."

Rouge cleanly slices the glass casing with a swift kick, then picks up the jewel. Y/N need to stop her and took out her whip and lassoed towards the jewel and took it, surprising Rouge.

"Stop right there, Rouge. That jewel doesn't belong to you."

"Well, hello, Y/N." Rouge flirted. "How delightful to see you again. I guess fate has brought us together."

This made Y/N blush for some reason.

"I see that you're transported here too. You always look for jewels to steal."

"You got it right, darling."

"I suggest you leave where I put this jewel back where it belongs."

"I won't let you." Rouge said, getting into her fighting stance along with Y/N.

Just as they were about to fight, the alarm sounded. Y/N had taken out the camera, there's no way they can be spotted now. She looked to see another camera where they can only see Rouge, but not her. All the doors, windows, and passageways in the musuem are sealed off.

"Well, looks like we're caught. Gotta get out of here." Rouge said, flying up to the glass roof.

"Wait!" Y/N called.

"Hmm?"

"You can't leave me here! I don't want to get caught or else my brother won't let me go out!"

Rouge thought for a moment and looked down on her with a flirtatious smile, making her not liking that look and blush again.

"I'll give you a deal. You give me the jewel you took from me and I'll help you escape."

"No way! It belongs to the people!" Y/N shook her head.

"Well, the deal's the deal. So, do we have a deal? If not, then I'll have to take my leave."

Y/N growled in frustration before making up her mind.

"Fine! Deal!" she said and threw the jewel towards Rouge, making her smile.

"Good choice, darling."

They heard footsteps and that is their cue to leave now. Rouge quickly picked Y/N up and flew up towards the glass roof and she broke through before the security officers get here. They are now flying in the air as Rouge looked at her newest find.

"You may not be a Chaos Emerald, but you'll do... for now."

"So, you're also searching for the Chaos Emerald too, I see. Well, my friends and I will find it before you."

"Fiesty, I see. I like that. Oh, and thanks for the jewel."

"I have no choice. Can you please take me home? I really need some rest."

"Whatever you want."

Y/N then told her the direction to where the mansion is and she took her over the gate and placed her down.

"Thanks, Rouge. And whatever happened back there, I rather not talk about it."

"You're secret is yours to keep, Y/N. I gotta go and look for some more things to steal." Rouge said about to take off when she turned and gave her something. "Always call me if you need someone like me to hang out with. Ta!"

Rouge was then gone and Y/N looked to what Rouge had given her. It was the card with a bat logo with a shaped like heart from the wings and flipped it over to see a "Thank You" with a picture of herself and some hearts.

"You're welcome, I guess." Y/N said with a small smile and went inside the mansion to the room.

It was now morning, Y/N woke up a little bit early due to what happen from last night and decided to go and eat breakfast. She headed downstairs where she can see Cream and Cheese sitting on the couch, watching Scarlet Garcia on the news. What Scarlet said next made Y/N stop.

"I'm coming to you live from the National Museum, where the world's largest diamond was stolen late last night. Law enforcement authorities are baffled by the outbreak of precious gem robberies, but private sources tell SSTV that this was clearly the biggest in a series of jewel thefts that have plagued Station Square in recent days. This is Scarlet Garcia at SSTV news."

Y/N doesn't know what to say as she kept quiet about it. She pretend to walk over to Cream and Cheese not knowing about the news and sat down next to them.

"Sonic?"

They turned to see Amy in the entrance to the lab. She is carrying a pizza pie.

"Hey, Cream, Y/N, have you guys seen Sonic?"

"Nope." Y/N said.

"The last time we saw him, he was with Chris and Tails, but I'm not sure where they went." Cream answered.

"Chao!"

"That's too bad... Hey, would you guys like having some pizza?"

Y/N, Cream, and Cheese immediately brighten up. Eating a pizza would help her get her mind off of last night robbery.

"I would love that!"

"Yes! Are you sure it's okay?"

"You bet it is! Sonic's loss is your gain!"

Cream and Cheese cheer as Y/N chuckled.

"Thanks, Amy."

They all then shared a slice.

At the White House, the President is seated in the Oval Office with two chairmen, Jerome Wise, and the President's Third Aide.

"Something has to be done, gentlemen. We must take action. Eggman is a threat to our nation's security. We have no choice but to launch an attack." President said.

"Mr. President, I want to stop this Eggman as much as you do, but it's not so simple." Chairman 1 said.

Chairman 2 is looking at a book.

"I'm afraid the chairman is right, sir."

Two shots are shown of government scientists analyzing a damaged E-23 Missile Wrist.

"After examining the remnants of one of Eggman's robots, we've determined that his technical capabilities and military hardware far surpass our current weapon system."

"That may be so, but it doesn't change the fact that something must be done." Jerome said.

"Would you consider asking Sonic and Y/N to assist with this mission?" P.T.A asked.

Jerome looks at P.T.A.

"Sonic and Y/N?"

"Eggman's an unusual enemy, sir, and that calls for an unusual ally. With this in mind, sir, I think Sonic and Y/N have what it takes to get the best of him. He just might be the only hope we have, Mr. President."

The president walks to the window.

"That's true. But how do we know we can even communicate with two hedgehogs?"

"Our operatives have observed him speaking with the young boy he's staying with. He understands the language."

"Fine, then we'll do it."

"Sir, I think you've made the right decision." P.T.A. said.

Chris came home from school with Hikaru and Danny. Danny is shaking hands with Amy.

"Hi, I'm Danny. Nice to meet you."

"Hi there! I'm Amy. This is my friend Tails."

"Hi!" Tails greeted.

"Hey!"

"Hi, there! I'm Y/N. Sonic's sister."

"I could tell. You guys look almost alike. Except with the light blue." Danny said.

"Hi, Y/N." Hikaru hugged Y/N.

"Hey, kid. How's school?" she said, hugging back.

"It's been great!"

"Speaking of Sonic, where is he?" Chris said, looking around.

"He left already, and it's about time I head out too!" Tails replied.

Everyone piles into the X-Tornado as Y/N is standing on the wings, holding on, and it taxis down the runway.

"Let's take off."

The X-Tornado takes off. Danny and Hikaru are having a blast through the ride.

"All right! Yeah! This is the coolest thing ever!"

"Awesome!!"

"Okay! Cool it, will ya, guys?" Chris chuckled.

"Look! There's Sonic!" Amy said.

They look down to see Sonic standing in front of the sign and an arrow pointing to the right. Sonic darts off in the direction the arrow is pointing in, and the X-Tornado follows, causing the arrow to fall off of the sign. Y/N saw a familiar face poke out of a nearby bush next to the sign. She realized it's Rouge and they had been tricked. Although, she could have swore she saw Rouge look back at her with a wink and she flies away. Y/N quickly got off of the X-Tornado without them noticing and followed where Rouge is going.

They soon arrived outside the gates of the abandoned factory. A sign on the front reads "Keep out."

"That's it. Now, to see if I can find another Emerald..."

She flies over to a broken window, looks around, then enters. Y/N followed her without being seen. She hid behind the barrels and watched Rouge crossing a catwalk and stops when she sees something shiny on the floor below. She flies down and picks up the object.

"Well, what's this?"

Suddenly, several spotlights shine on her. Several GUN soldiers point their guns at her.

"My, my. Trying to trap me?"

"So it was all a setup. I should have known.." Y/N quietly said.

The soldiers look shocked. A female soldier with sandy blonde hair, caucasian skin, and violet eyes steps forward.

"Don't make a move!"

"Whatever you like."

The female soldier pulls out a pair of handcuffs and takes Rouge's arm.

"You know, you're pretty tough for an old lady."

All the other soldiers except the female soldier laugh.

"Okay. That's just mean. Plus, she doesn't look old." Y/N rolled her eyes.

She turns to the other soldiers.

"What are you clowns laughing at?!"

Even the GUN Commander is laughing.

"Commander!!"

GUN Commander cleared his throat.

"I'm not going anywhere. Matter of fact, I kinda like being in the spotlight." Rouge said.

"Forget the cuffs." Commander said, approaching Rouge. "What's your name?"

"I'm Rouge. That's Rouge the Bat."

"Hey, I've seen you somewhere before... That's right. You're the one that snuck into the National Museum and stole that diamond, aren't ya?"

This made Y/N cringe.

"Who me?"

"We set up a trap to catch Sonic and Y/N and who do we wind up with but a jewel thief! Funny how things work out that way."

"For me and my brother? What exactly do they want with us?"

Rouge smirks.

"You're coming with us."

"Whatever you say."

Rouge then followed the soldiers and noticed Y/N was hiding behind the barrels and Y/N flinched that she noticed her. Rouge then unexpectedly give her an air kiss before she's gone. Y/N couldn't stop her face from going red. She shook her head, knowing she had to tell the others and ran out of the building towards the road where she would find her friends and Sonic. She found them as they were about to go the other way.

"Hey, guys!"

"Y/N!" Sonic gasped and ran over to her and hugged her. "Where were you?! You had me worried!"

"At least, j-just..let me explain.." she shruggled from his grip.

"Right, sorry." he said and let go of her.

"I had to investigate."

"What?"

Y/N looked at Danny, Hikaru, and Chris in the X-Tornado and whispered.

"It was all a setup and I bet it was Chris' teacher that was behind all of this."

"Are you sure?" Tails whispered back.

"Yeah, is it true?" Amy asked, while whispering.

"I hope so. But it was the government that had setup the trap to capture us. Not only that, but Rouge the Bat and she made us fall for that sign."

"Rouge the Bat?! The jewel thief?!"

"Yep."

"Where is it?" Tails asked.

"Follow me." Y/N said.

They went down the other path towards the abandoned factory.

"Huh. What is this place? It gives me the creeps. Well, now what? There's nothing here." Amy said.

"Everything is strange and weird, guys." Tails said. "Why would they want you guys?"

"Beats me." Sonic shrugged.

Y/N looked at Chris, Hikaru, and Danny show signs of exhaustion. Danny yawns, and Chris is even asleep on his feet, while Hikaru nodded his head, trying to keep himself awake.

"I suggest we bring them home."

Everyone nodded and dropped off both Danny and Hikaru, they now went back home. They all went to their place for them to sleep as Y/N is lying down on her bed, staring at the ceiling with a thoughtful look.

"I'm gonna be on the lookout on that teacher. Everything seems like we're being spied on."

Y/N later then fell asleep, tucking the blanket close to her.
