Location: Y/n's Apartment - The Abandoned Apartment Complex - City Z

It's been five days since Y/n debuted as a professional hero, but there haven't been any serious incidents so far. However, for some reason Saitama and Genos are both staying at the abandoned apartment complex after Y/n and Godfield offered them a place to stay as they managed to get their own apartment with the help of their loyal servants from their own dimension.

But today is about to get interesting as Y/n and Godfield decided to check up on Saitama and Genos by listening in on their conversation in the apartment next to theirs.

Surprisingly, Y/n and Godfield can't seem to understand why Genos always have to sketch and write on Saitama's everyday life.

Saitama: What are you writing over there?

Genos: I'm recording the details of your lessons and training regimen.

Y/n: (Thinking) Crap. He's raising the bar again...I can't think of a single thing on what Saitama will teach the guy about something that will either help become stronger like him or improve his status as a hero. I feel bad for Genos, like he's scamming him or something.

Saitama: (Thinking) Come on, think. Or just make up some techniques or a spiritual theory. Bah, strength training is all I've got! I know Genos won't be satisfied with that, plus the dude's a cyborg!

Genos: By the way, at the seminar they said if you're a Class C hero and you have no hero activity for a week, your name will be removed from the Hero Registry. Will you be all right, Master?

Then after Genos explained that to Saitama with Y/n and Godfield listened to all of that, they were shocked to hear that from the demon cyborg about not doing any hero related work for a whole week that will get him and Saitama kicked out of the Hero Registry.

Y/n: Dear God, this isn't good at all.

Godfield: I agree, this is a serious problem right now. I already checked to see if there's any sign of the citizens in danger or any reports of monster attacks nearby, but there's no danger going on at the moment.

Y/n: Yeah, I even watched the news to see if there's anything going on that might get us some hero work done, but I wasn't expecting something like this happening today after hearing about what Genos was talking about during the seminar.

Saitama: Wait a minute!! They said that?!

Genos: Yes.

Saitama: But I was watching TV and there wasn't anything going on.

Genos: The news only reports major incidents, like natural disasters, terrorism and dangerous monsters. You and Y/n always fight the most powerful enemies, so you probably do not know it, but Class C heroes primarily take care of purse snatchers, robberies and random attacks. With Class C so full of heroes, to survive they must actively look for cases to resolve. I hear many of them get discourage and change careers. Like a salesman doing cold calls, nothing will come your way without legwork.

Y/n: You think we should help Saitama out, father?

Godfield: I believe we should do that, son. We can send out some angels to scout of the many cities to find any kind of crime to make sure we will be able to do some work for the Hero Association.

Saitama: This is no time to be reading manga!

Genos: So, we're going?

Saitama: You stay here!

Saitama: If I'm with a Class S hero, a Class C like me and Y/n won't get any credit!

Genos: But as your disciple-

Then as Genos was about to question about whether or not he should go with Saitama or not to find some work to keep his job at the Hero Association, the caped baldy explained to Genos with an inspirational speech.

Saitama: Genos, from the beginning my intense desire to be a hero was what drove me to strength training. That's how I made it this far. For you, perhaps things will change if you aim higher as a hero. Frankly speaking, you're a cyborg, so training your body won't do. Instead, a change in mindset may lead you to greater strength.

This is just all made up for Genos to believe him for his so-called advice so he can go find some work without Genos and/or Y/n interfering with his job as a hero if he wants to stay within the Hero Registry at the Hero Association.

Siatama: (Thinking) Damn, I'm just making all this crap up...

Y/n Why do I sense that he's just making up a speech just make Genos believe what he's saying is true or not.

Godfield: I absolutely have no idea.

Saitama: (Began reading something from a manga) So...in other words, it's not about having raw power or technique it's about training your mind.

Then Y/n and Godfield soon realized that Saitama was reading some inspirational quotes within the manga book that read, "HOW I DEVELOPED INDOMITABLE WILL AND MY MIND IS UNBREAKABLE BY S CLASS HERO KING" as a way to come up with a good enough speech to convince Genos that Saitama can deal with the hero stuff on his own.

Y/n: Of course. He's reading the stuff from his manga books. How original.

Godfield: How are we not surprise by this?

Saitama: To do that, you must first fight your way through the professional hero industry. Aim to break into the top ten of the Class S heroes. That will be your goal for now.

Genos: I understand. I will try!

Saitama: (Thinking) He actually bought it... Sweet.

Y/n and Godfield were both surprised to see Genos actually bought the whole thing from Saitama as the caped baldy make his way into the city to find some crime to do some hero work to keep working for the Hero Association and I believe it's time for them to go searching around for some crime as well as Y/n went outside with Godfield following behind him.

Y/n: I can't believe Genos bought it.

Godfield: So, do I, but let's worry about that later, we gotta find some crime and fast before we'll all lose our Hero Registration.

Y/n: You're right, father. There's no time to lose. Let's summon the angels and start our search for some crime!

After that, Y/n and Godfield summoned some Garfield angels to go locate any sort of crime around the city as they all sped around town, while frantically looking for bad guys to take out to keep their Hero Registry. They ran. And ran. And ran. But! The city was quiet as a mouse and Saitama decided to give up for today and deal with it tomorrow.

Saitama: I give up...Just one more day left. Guess I'll head home. I'll leave tomorrow's problems to tomorrows me. I wonder if Y/n's doing better than me.

Unfortunately for Y/n and Godfield, they couldn't find any crimes or bad guys in any part of the city and the Garfield Angels tried their best to find something but failed to find anything for them to do some hero work and decided to go find some work first thing tomorrow morning.

Timeskip: THE FOLLOWING DAY

As the next day rolled by, Y/n and Saitama both decided to go find some hero work together so they can share the credit to keep their hero jobs, but so far today is quiet as well and there's no sign of any bad guys or crime related issues whatsoever.

Saitama: It's quiet today too! There's nothing to do! I'm gonna lose my registration!

Y/n: Calm down, Saitama. I'm pretty there has to be something around here that can count as work to keep our jobs as heroes. We just need to-

Then suddenly, a kunai was thrown out of nowhere as Y/n grabbed it with two fingers just as he was looking for some trouble. Then he and Saitama looked to see who threw that ninja weapon at them, which turned out to be the same deadly ninja they fought before when the Paradisers were still around. It turns out he came here to settle the score with Y/n and Saitama after they defeated him and vowed to get back at them as he dedicated himself to train to get his revenge on the two of them that humiliated them.

Y/n: Wait a minute! We ran to you before!

Saitama: Hey yeah! You're that guy! What was your name again?

Y/n: Wait? What was his name again?

Saitama: "Seed-on-the-Ground..."?

Y/n: No wait, I think it was "Lost-and-found..."?

Y/n/Saitama: OH! Jack-o'-lantern Panic!

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: No! It's Speed-o'-Sound Sonic.

Y/n: Oh...I liked Jack-o'-Lantern Panic better.

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: I've finally found you, Saitama and Y/n, Son of Godfield. Today is the day we--

Saitama: Hey sorry, we're busy. See you 'round...

Y/n: Yeah, later Bruh.

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: Huh?

Then the two of them left to go find some work at the other side of town, which really agitated Sonic that they both just walked away from them like they never met as he is not gonna let them go that easily.

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: (Enraged) Insolent worms! You both think you can run from me?!

Then Sonic did a quick dash over to them and tried to slice Saitama's face open with his katana blade until Saitama quickly bit down the sword with his teeth that shattered the sword into pieces. Sonic was shocked to witnessed that even though Saitama was so quick that Sonic didn't see it coming when he tried to do a sneak attack on the caped baldy.

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: What the!? I didn't see what happened. His face should have been sliced open, but the blade was.

Saitama: I told you...we're busy. Plus, I'm pissed, so anyone in my way...(Serious face)...gets punched.

Y/n: He's right about that, Sonic. I highly recommend you stay out of our way, cause if you keep up with that kind of attittude...(Demonic Voice) You're going to regret it!

That made Sonic gasped in shocked when Y/n and Saitama glared at him like that.

Until...

Little girl: That's him! He's very, very dangerous. Please stop him.

Tanktop Tiger: So, you're the offender, eh?!

Tanktop Tiger: Well, the hero Tank-Top Tiger is here now!

Saitama: Hero?

Y/n: Tank-Top Tiger?

Saitama: Sonic, they think you're some sort of criminal. Maybe getting tossed in a cell will cool off your hot-

Then suddenly, Tanktop Tiger placed his hand on Saitama's head as the girl was talking about him and not Speed-o-Sound Sonic

Tanktop Tiger: She means you, cue ball.

Saitama: (Shocked) Huh?

Y/n: (Shocked) What?!

Little girl: He's been running around town with this scary look on his face since yesterday!

Y/n: Hey! Cut him some slack, he's just trying to be a hero like him.

Tanktop Tiger: I've never heard of a hero like him, but I heard about you from the Hero Association based on what you did to the entrance exam. I didn't believe all of that from the videos they recorded durimg the exam.

Y/n: So, what? We just started and he only ran around town to find some work because he panicked about losing his hero registration!

Tanktop Tiger: In any case, he's just causing problems for everyone. If he's really a hero, then tell him not to go around frightening people. He's hurting all the other heroes' reputation.

That kind of remark has made Y/n start to get angry, but he maintains his rage to avoid getting written up to beat up a hero that worked at the Hero Association, but he can already tell that's going to do some "rookie-crushing" due to how strong he and Saitama really are, but he's not going to fight him just so he can rise up to the ranks and gain more popularity over the whole rookie-crushing thing that can get him and Saitama into serious trouble.

Then some of the people the crowd suddenly recognize who Tank-Top Tiger is as he is one of the more popular Class C Heroes in the Hero Association.

Civilian #1: Hey isn't that Tank-Top Tiger?

Civilian #2: Oh yeah, it is Tank-Top Tiger.

Civilian #3: No way!

Civilian #4: Awesome, he's the real deal!

Tanktop Tiger: Even Class C heroes get recognized if they're in the top 10. So how about it, new guy? Wanna go a little wild here and make me look good in the process?

Then without warning, Tank-Top Tiger got blasted by a barrage of fire balls before he collapsed on the ground all singed and burned from the fireballs that came from a familiar face that Y/n met before as we see Devil Mario also came back for revenge on Y/n for defeating him and stealing the Power Star that belonged to him as he took care of Tank-Top Tiger by using his fire balls that he shot from his gloved hand.

Then people in the crowd were shocked to see that happen to Tank-Top Tiger.

Female Civilian: (Screams in Shock)

Civilian #1: Tank-Top Tiger?!

Civilian #2: Is this really happening?

Devil Mario: Y/n! I have returned to claim back what's mine!

Y/n: Devil Mario? What was that for?

Devil Mario: He was interfering, so I took him out to get him out of the way.

Civilians: Hey, call a hero! - A hero! - Run!

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: Back off whoever you are! These two are mine!

Devil Mario: And who you might be, mortal?!

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: I'm Speed-o'-Sound Sonic! I am their rival and I'm here to settle the score!

Devil Mario: Speed-o'-Sonic?! Ha! What a ridiculous name for someone like you to have a name that is almost as similar to a certain blue hedgehog named Sonic.

Y/n: (Thinking) Wow. I never thought about that before.

Devil Mario: You dare call yourself a rival to these two heroes?! I should be the one to be their rival! I've been training for quite some time to get back what's mine and you don't have the privilege to be called their rival! So out of the way, Sonic Faker or face my wrath!

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: So that's how you wanna play, huh? Then since these have become one of these worthless "heroes", all I have to do is create a situation where they're forced to fight me as their true rival! Saitama the Hero and Son of Godfield! Hail of Carnage!

Then Speed-o'-Sound Sonic used his exploding shurikens to wreak havoc upon the innocent people of the city just to make Y/n and Saitama fight against him. Devil Mario was thinking the exact same thing as he is going to create even more destruction upon the city before Sonic could manage to convince the two heroes to fight him as he is willing to earn the title of "Rival" to them.

Devil Mario: Two can play it that game, you insignificant ant! Fire Ball Meteor Shower!

Then he unleashed a massive barrage of fireballs to the people in the city and destroying building in order to force them to fight against him for the Power Star. Y/n just couldn't believe how stressful this day has become right now as he just can't much more of this unwanted amount of stress he's having right now.

Saitama: Hey! Cut it out! Both of you!

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic: Y/n! Saitama, come forth and fight me! You're a couple of heroes! Can you prevent their deaths?! I'll kill them all!

Devil Mario: Y/n!!!! Are you even gonna try to save these worthless humans! Come out and face me!!!

Then without thinking twice, Y/n used his powers to stop everything for a moment before sending every innocent people running for their lives to a much safer place from danger and sending Tank-Top Tiger to the hospital after he got burned up by Devil Mario's fire ball attack.

Y/n: (Angry) Damn it. Can't everyone just let me, and Saitama do our job? I don't have time for this bullcrap any longer! We gotta find a bad guy to take down.

Saitama: I think the answer to our problems is right in front of them.

Then Y/n soon realized that Saitama pointed out to both Speed-o'-Sound Sonic and Devil Mario are just the right kind of hero work to take them both down to count as actual work to stay in the Hero Registry.

Y/n: A bad guy? (To Saitama) You want to take them out together?

Saitama: Sure.

Then after Speed-o'-Sonic and Devil Mario are done fooling around and Y/n and Saitama still didn't bother fighting back and decided to go after them head-on instead.

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic/Devil Mario: Not coming, then I'll go to you!

Y/n/Saitama: (Appears behind them) I'm right here.

Then they both karate-chopped at both Speed-o'-Sound Sonic down to the pavement before stomping on them really hard as the two villains are in so much pain that it's enough to crack both of their spines into a billion pieces.

Saitama: Hmm...I wonder if this will count as work.

Y/n: Oh yeah. This definitely count as work. I'll just let the Hero Association know that we both took out these two that created so much chaos and saved a bunch of people from getting killed. I should be able to repair all the damage they caused just in time for the police to arrive to arrest these two.

Saitama: Great. Now we can finally relax now that our jobs as heroes are still safe.

Y/n: You wanna grab a bite to eat?

Saitama: Sure. I got nothing else to do, so why not.
