"You told Angelica?" John asked, dropping in to see Alex during lunch. Alex looked away blushing.

"Not exactly," he said. "She kind of forced me to tell her."

"Angelica can't force you to do an-"

"No, stop. It was either that or I tell her I got bitten by a vampire, so shush."

John chuckled. "Touche. I was a few seconds away from telling Peggy, so I guess I'm not one to judge," he admitted to Alex.

"Well, Peggy is just scary. I wouldn't have blamed you if you told her," Alex laughed in response. "Say, I was talking to Angelica and I just- I was gonna ask, or at least I wasn't sure..." Alex continued trying to figure out how to ask this in the least awkward way possible, slowly making himself seem more and more awkward. John just laughed and put a finger up to Alex's lips.

"What did you want to ask?"John asked softly, looking into Alex's gentle brown eyes.

"I-I was just wondering if you wanted to be my, I dunno... boyfriend?" Alex looked down at his feet, feeling suddenly childish. John smiles slightly and shakes his head. Alex looks up. "What?" he asks, feeling slightly defensive.

"Nothing, it's just- I forget how adorable you are sometimes," John said affectionately. "And yes, Alex I would love to be your boyfriend."

Alex let out the breath he didn't realize he was holding. He tried to stand on his tippy-toes and peck John on the lips but even that couldn't make up for the eight inch difference between the two men. John kneeled down and their lips connected for a brief second. They looked into each others' eyes for a second until they heard a voice in the doorway.

"Daww, well isn't that cute?" Eliza started. Neither one of them could tell if she was being sarcastic. "Anyways, you totally pulled a me and didn't lock your door, so I would be more careful about that next time." The two men blinked, completely dumbfounded.

"What are you looking at? I knew you two were gonna be a thing eventually," she said like it was obvious. Alex cleared his throat.

"Eliza, dear? Could you maybe, leave us alone right now? I didn't interrupt you when you were shoving your tongue down Maria's throat," Alex said calmly. John tried to stifle a snort. Eliza just rolled her eyes and turned around.

"Whatever, losers. I'll keep it quiet that you two are snogging each other now," She said on her way out. She got a few steps away from the room and the two were practically cackling with laughter.

"Well, this took up some sweet time, but we can do something together tonight," John suggested. Alex nodded. "Are you still in a lot of pain?" Alex shrugged.

"It's not as bad anymore," Alex said. "But I have had a few kids ask if I was limping."

John cringed. "That must be awkward." The bell rang and John left to head back to the gym, but not before ruffling Alexander's hair. Alex walked back over to his desk and collapsed into his chair, another goofy smile spreading on his face.

What time zone are you guys in? Cuz I have a couple readers who I swear read this story at one thirty in the morning every day and I was a lil concerned about their sleep schedules until I realized time zones were a thing
