06 || You're Not as Bad
Warning the P.O.V. changed rapidly in this chapter
Dally's P.O.V.
"Maybe I was a little hard on Daisy," I sigh as I sit next to Charlie staring at the door. "Do you think she'll come home?"
"She has to," Delilah walks into the room, "it's been three days."
"Hey who knows," Charlie comforts me. "She could of talked to Sodapop, you know how close they are."
"Soda would tell us though," I sigh. "Right?"
Delilah walks over to me swinging her arm around my shoulder, "Soda would do anything to protect Daisy."
"Yea, but he wouldn't be protecting her!" I snap.
"Whoa no need to get all snippy with me," she backs away slowly. "Unless you want me to end up just like Daisy."
"Del that's not even a funny joke," I warn her.
She walks over to the kitchen grabbing an apple as she chuckles lowly to herself, "I thought it was."
I roll my eyes, "oh god Delilah!"
She just smirks as she walks away, "what?"
Daisy's P.O.V.
I walk into the DX with a smile on my face, "what's Dallas like?"
Soda looks over to me and smiles weakly, "he's not doing to good. He's worried sick. When are you gonna go home? You should give him a break."
I shrug, "soon. I miss them, but he deserves it."
"I know, but you love him and you're not Delilah," Soda speaks softly.
God! I hate when people do that, "what's that supposed to mean?"
"Del is tougher than you and she can take more," Soda explains. "Plus the fact that this is something Del would do, not Daisy."
"Well why can't Daisy do it too?" I ask growing angry. "I've found places to stay so why does it matter to you?"
"Because I care about ya'll," he sighs.
"Well I'm going home today so I'll see you tonight at dinner anyway," I storm out of the DX.
"Daisy! Daisy wait!" Soda calls after me, but I just flip him off. "Wow! Gee thanks Daisy! You're a real winner!"
Delilah P.O.V.
I sit in the car at the drive-in ditching school with Chase. We sit in the back not even watching the movie, but instead making out. He puts his hands under my shirt pulling it off and I break the kiss, "wait!"
"What?" He asks looking into my eyes.
"I-I'm just not ready," I sigh.
He slams my body against the door pulling my shirt off, "don't worry!"
"Chase!" I squeal. "Chase, get off me!"
He sticks his tongue down my throat as he fiddles with my bra, "I love you Del."
"Chase!" I slap him across the face as hard as I can.
He pulls his shirt off after trying to take off my bra, "Delilah, I wanna be with you!"
I look into his glazed eyes and release he's high, "Chase please you're high!"
"Why?" He asks. "Do you-do you not love me? Do you not want to be with me?"
"It's not like that!" I insist.
He roughly and forcefully kisses me, "then what is it like?"
"Just stop it Chase!" I command.
"Never," he speaks lowly pushing his body against mine as he undoes his pants not breaking the rough, forceful kiss. He starts to fiddle with my pants, but I open up the car falling onto my broken arm yelping pain. Chase looks over at me, "what the hell?"
I quickly throw my shirt on, "just stop it Chase!"
"Stop what?" He growls.
"You know what you were doing!" I snap.
He presses his lips on my stomach as he moves his hands up and down my sides, "you can't blame me for wanting to be with you."
I push him off me, "Chase stop being such a creep!"
"I just love you," he roars.
"No, we're over Chase!" I declare.
Dally's P.O.V.
The door opens and I look over to see Daisy walking in. I walk over to her hugging her tightly, "where the hell were you and don't you ever scare me like that again?"
She rolls her eyes, "you're a real ass you know!"
I look over at Charlie and she steps in before I snap, "don't talk your brother like that Daisy!"
"Shut up!" She yells at Charlie. "You're not my mom and he deserved it! He can't just treat me like and expect everything to be alright because it's not! It's not okay!"
"Daisy, I'm sorry," I speak slowly, softly, and sincerely. "I love you."
I can see something flicker in her eyes and her face softens. She wraps her small arms half way around my built figure, "you're lucky I love you and I did miss you too."
I smile slightly, "don't ever leave like that again please."
"Promise," she mumbles into my chest. "I love you Dally."
"I love you too kid," I smile.
Delilah P.O.V.
I walk into the DX tears falling from my eyes to see Evie and Steve making out. I walk over to my regular hiding spot and crouch down to cry. I squeeze my eyes shuts as I pull my knees up to my chest trying not to be too loud.
"Steve," I hear Evie gasp for air.
"Mhmm Evie," Steve is also gasping for air.
"I love you," she pants.
I peek out to see Steve peck Evie's lip, "I love you too."
"Steve, I want to meet the gang," Evie admits and I accidentally let out a loud sob that I've been holding for too long.
"Wait!" Steve stops her.
"What?" Evie asks softly.
I hear Steve's footsteps until he's right in front of me, "Del?"
I look up at him sniffling, "I'm sorry, I-I-"
"Was just spying on us," Evie scoffs cutting me off. "Then sobbing in the corner because, you know you can't have Steve. Well back off bitch!"
I let out another loud sob and Steve steps in, "Evie enough!"
"No! Can't you see what she's doing?" Evie screams. "She's trying to make me seem like the bad guy!"
"Well you sure look like a bitch now," Steve growls.
"Steve, why can't you see that she's the bitch?" Evie asks.
"You're just jealous," Steve insists.
"Whatever," Evie rolls her eyes. "Keep choosing her Steve! Keep choosing her!"
"I lo-she's like my little sister," Steve defends. "It's not a choice!"
"Yes it is! You always choose her over me! It's like we have a date that we've been planing for three weeks, but Del came over super upset, sorry Evie can't make it! No! She's NOT your girlfriend I am!" Evie flips out.
"That was one time!" Steve snaps.
"I don't care how many times it happened! It happened!"Evie yells.
"She needed me," Steve reminds her.
"Well next time how 'bout you take her on a date," Evie storms out of the DX.
"Maybe I will!" Steve yells at her before she's out the door.
Daisy's P.O.V.
"So," Charlie smiles as we sit on my bed while Dally buys groceries.
"So what?" I ask.
"Why'd you run?" She asks.
I shrug, "I needed to show him that he can't just mess with us at his pleasure."
"Did you see Randy?" She questions.
I shake my head, "I broke up with him."
She pulls me into a long tight hug, "I'm so sorry sweets."
"I guess," I sigh. "I don't know."
"Why is that?" She interrogates.
"He could be a real jerk at times," I admit letting out a small chuckle.
"Trust me I know," she laughs.
"Has Dally asked you out yet?" I take my turn asking.
She hits me playfully, "you wish."
"No, you wish," I joke.
She rolls her eyes playfully as a smile grows on her face, "you're right, I do wish...sometimes."
I let out a loud laugh making her laugh as well, "I missed it here."
"Well we missed you being here," she smiles.
I bump into her playfully, "good, 'cause ya'll ain't getting rid of me for a LONG time."
She chuckles as Dally walks in, "hey Charlie. Hey Daisy."
"Hey," we both say at the same time and smile.
Dally's P.O.V.
"Charlie, I-I gotta go grocery shopping," I lie swiftly. "Can you watch Daisy?"
"C'mon Dally I don't need a babysitter," Daisy chuckles. The only thing is I know she doesn't need a babysitter.
I quickly make a excuse, "no, but somebody who just ran away does. You need to earn back my trust."
She rolls her eyes, "I don't need one."
Charlie puts her hand on Daisy's shoulder, "it's okay hun, we'll have fun. I would of stayed here anyways."
Daisy smiles, "okay, but only because it's you."
"That's my girl," Charlie smiles.
I smile as I walk out, "bye girls.
"Bye Dallas," they both laugh speaking in sync. I love my girls. If Del was there all three of my girls would be here.
I hop into Charlies old pick up truck and drive to the nearest jeweler. As I walk in, I get dirty looks from everybody and they make sure everything is locked. Okay so what I have a bit of a record with the fuzz, "I ain't gonna steal any of this crap!"
A young lady comes over to me clearly nervous, "u-uh hello sir, ho-how may I hel-help you?"
I sigh, "I need something for my-my uh...my girlfriend." Okay maybe Charlie isn't my girlfriend, but she will be soon.
"Like a ring?" She asks.
"No, not a ring! I just met her," I roll my eyes.
"I'm sorry sir," she cowers. "What's she like?"
"Sweet, wild, can beat me in drinking, tuff, and fearless," I describe her. "Mostly tuff."
"She sounds nice," the girls smiles. "Does she like necklaces?"
I shrug, "I don't know, I assume."
She smirks, "how long have you two been together? Is this an anniversary gift?"
"Uh about a week," I shrug. Yeah I met her about a week ago. "Maybe two."
"And you're buying her nice jewelry?" She gasps. "She must be something special."
I nod, "she's one of a kind."
"Wow even Dallas Winston is saying that," she smirks.
I shrug, "do you have something that'll show her that I care without me having to say it 'cause, I ain't saying it?"
"How about a promise ring?" She asks. "Not a ring, ring, but a ring that says I want to be with you."
I nod, "sounds....reasonable."
"C'mere Dallas Winston," she takes my hand and pulls me over to a case of rings. She pulls out a diamond embroidered ring with heart then a blue gem in the heart. "Would she like this one?"
I shake my head, "too girly. She's gonna be a hard one to shop for."
"We'll find the right ring, I promise," she smiles. "How about this?" She pulls out a sterling silver ring with two hearts that make a forever sign half is black and half has diamonds in it.
"She might like that one," I smile.
"We have a maybe," she smiles. "If you like that one, but it's too girly, she'll like this. It's the same thing, but only silver." She pulls out a ring that is just like she described it, but it has always and forever written in black.
"Always and forever," I scratch my head. "That's a long time."
"Understandable," she laughs as she puts the ring back. She pulls out a small sterling silver ring with a simple square diamond on the top. "This one?"
I smile, "I like it, but how much is it?"
"Ninety," she offers.
"That's a lot," I sigh. "Maybe."
She pulls out a sterling silver and gold ring that has a love knot on it, "this is a love knot which is a way of you telling her you love her. The silver stands for her and the gold stands for you resembling the perfect balance. It shows that you guys are better together. It shows perfect balance. Do you like it?"
"I love it and so will she," I smile then remember I don't have that much money. "How much does it cost?"
"Normally about seventy, but it's on sale for thirty-five and just for you I'll give you the fifteen percent employee discount which would bring it down to twenty-nine and seventy-five cents with a five percent sales tax. thirty-one dollars and twenty five cents," she explains as she punches in numbers to the computer. "It's a steal."
I smile handing her the money and a five dollar tip, "keep the change. Thank you so much."
"If you ever come back ask for Selena," she smiles. "You're not as bad as everybody says you are."
"Hey, don't go telling people that," I chuckle as I head home. Charlie will love this and it's the perfect way to ask her out.
Tons of stuff going on in this chapter. Okay, do instead of me talking the whole time. What do you guys think? I wanna hear your guys thoughts. Stay gold. Do it for Johnny!
