Love isn't easy, especially when you have to go under a curse for it to work out for you both.

I felt as though I was falling into a coma, but that's probably because I was in the process of falling but still, it felt weird to say the least.

I arrived at the cottage just as the hour was up, my Aunts were frantically running around trying to get everything ready for me going 'back' to 'where I belong', even though to me it wasn't my home.

"Aurora!, you are late!"
"Actually Auntie Betty, I am 2 minutes early-"
"None of that back chat-"
"I had an hour and I still have 2 minutes left of that hour"
"Not now Aurora-"
"My name is Briar Rose"

I was into a horse pulled carriage, riding my way to my destiny, and everyone around me kept calling me 'Aurora' even though I much prefer being called Brier Rose, but they didn't care about that, because no matter how many times I said that to them, because I was a princess to them.

We pulled up to some grand gates to an even grander palace, everyone was rushing to get me out of the carriage, once I was out of the carriage, I was lead to a massive dining room where my parents were already seated at a table.

"Hello Aurora darling"
"Hello Mother, hello Father"
"Aurora, you look so grown up"
"Thank you Father"

They treated me as though I was as fragile as a China cup, but a China cup that was already chipped, a China cup that was already broken, and honestly I wanted to scream at them, but I knew that they would deny it, so there was no point in wasting the oxygen on the subject.

Though it annoyed me because I had wandered around the woods as soon as I could walk, much to the annoyance of my aunts, though with hindsight I guess it was because I wasn't a 'typical' Princess.

We sat down to dinner, as though having dinner together as a 'family' could even mend 16 years of neglect, but I sat there anyway, as I knew that I only had to endure their company for a little bit whilst the sunset was setting itself up, (well down but you know what I mean).

"So Aurora darling, what have you been up to?"
"Well Father, I very much enjoy a nice stroll around the woods"
"Are you not afraid of what could kill you Aurora?!"
"No Mother, I'm not afraid of what's in the woods, because I grew up walking in the woods"

I thought that my father was actually going to burst a vain, to this day I don't know why as walking around the woods isn't the scariest thing ever, sure the woodland creatures could get scared and try to defend themselves but as long as you didn't startle them then they wouldn't attack you, you know.

"Do you not know that Maleficent could've taken you away-"
"To be honest Father, I didn't know that she existed until a couple of days ago, but that doesn't matter now, let's just have a nice dinner together"

After we had dinner together, I headed upstairs to see where I would sleep for a while, and then I found a room that was full of spinning wheels and an old lady sitting there gracefully waiting for something to happen, she then turned her attention towards me.

"Ah, Brier Rose, I've been expecting you"
"You know my name?"
"Well yes my dear, I'm a fairy, and we don't tend to get these sorts of things wrong"
"Well what's your name?, well that is only if you want me to know what your name is?, you don't have to tell me your name if you don't want to"

This seemed to make the old lady smile, as I guess that she wasn't used to people asking her what her name was, though I was genuinely curious as to what her name was, because she had a kind looking face and honestly I needed somebody who was kind at that moment.

"(Chuckles), My name is Petunia my dear, now we have a curse to carry out, though for a Maleficent curse, it isn't very harsh, you're lucky for that"
"I know Petunia, and I know why she cursed me"
"We all know why she cursed you Sweetheart, and just so you know, she pleaded with me to undo the curse once she knew exactly who you were, but once a curse is set, it cannot be undone, regardless of if the person regrets it or not"

I took a deep breath in, it was to try and calm myself a little bit before I was to go to sleep for a while, as I didn't want to be nervous before the curse took place, I then pricked my finger and knew no more.
