Chapter 3

I actually slept in today, till ten and it felt fantastic. I laid in bed, staring at the boring ceil that I marked on. I had to get out, Elizabeth would kill me if I stayed in bed all day. But I couldn't leave the silk sheets, it was so comfy.
"Hey Clo, Elizabeth wants you." Speak of the devil.
"Alright." I slid out of bed and dressed myself in appropriate attire. Shorts and a shirt.
When I exited, I saw Scarlett, a fellow Knight. She had her arms crossed and was tapped her black heels. Her hair was up and she was wearing a red dress, she looked like she was done with life and I couldn't blame her. She never fought instead she stayed on the sidelines taking care of our image in hell. I liked her because she barely talked and didn't get in my way.
"Follow." She turned her heel and began walking towards Elizabeth's office.
I followed her a few steps behind, she walked very fast in those heels. She stopped and opened the door.
"Enjoy." She smiled and it wasn't a happy one, more of a wicked and demeaning.
I walked in and immediately got chills, her office was more of a lair. She had curtains that were drawn in causing the rook to be darker than usual, she must be sad
"Thank you for coming, Clo." She turned her chair to face me. Her eyes were red, so she was crying.
"You used my name? What's the wrong with you?" I sat down on one of her chairs.
"Someone..someone is trying to steal my crown." She stood up and walked over to me.
"Well, what do you want to do about it?"
"I want you to destroy them, kill them and bring me there heads." She handed me a piece of paper with the names of the "thieves."
"Don't I have the week off?" I gripped the paper and looked at her.
"Do this job and I'll give it to you." I noticed she was wearing her glasses and her eyes were the normal grey she always had.
"I also expect a dog-"
"I'm not giving you a dog, Darling." Back at it again with that.
"Fine, then I want a companion down here." I crossed my arms.
"You have me and your fellow Knights." She did have a point. "But if you do, then I'll get on that."
"Good. I'll be out for the day." I got up from the chair.
"You be careful out there, it's on the night-"
"Yeah, yeah...downtown hell, bad guys. Blah, blah." I brushed her off and exited her office.
I wasn't looking forward to this job, but I had to do it for my lord and savior, Elizabeth.

The part of hell I was now in was the part you would most hear about. Where the unfortunate souls went to torment others and where I went to receive my payment.
"Have you seen these individuals?" I pulled a soul over and shoved the paper in their face.
"N-nope ma'am.." I dropped the soul and continued scouring the streets.
I looked so out of place it was humorous. My black suit with the tailcoat was very..inappropriate for fighting, but it seemed to work. It also signaled the souls who I was, a Knight. Also for them not to challenge me, they would surely suffer especially if Elizabeth caught wind of it.
"Are you that Knight of Hell sent after us?" Two guys came out of shadows, they looked awful.
"Perhaps, what's it-" They threw an assortment of dull knives at me and I quickly stopped them.
"That's no way to treat a lady." I sent them flying back.
"How did you do that?!" The two moved out of the way.
"That's what I get for pledging loyalty to our grand overlord." I smirked, it was true. We all got some trades that would help us on the battlefield.
"Well..take this!" One of the village idiots threw another knife.
"When will you idiots learn?" I caught the knife and threw it in the ground.
I walked up to one and saw him tremble, his eyes were big and pupils dilated. I picked him up by the chin and threw him on the ground.
"You little wench!" The other came charging at me, holding another stupid knives.
"Boo, you don't need to bring that up." I punched him over into the building that was surrounded us.
Luckily they were both out like a light, I took out one of my cutlasses and picked up the guy I threw at the ground. I had to get their heads back to Elizabeth or I wouldn't hear the end of it, so that's I did. I sliced his head fast and yet, I still got blood on me. I didn't mind, but it wasn't the best for my uniform. I got the other guy's head as well and headed back up home.
-
"Here." I threw the heads at Elizabeth's desk and she looked up.
"Thanks." She looked back down.
"I cut off two heads, two heads! And all I get is a thanks? Wow, I-"
She kissed me. She teleported to me and kissed me. Her lips were surprisingly soft and she knew what she was doing. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped my arms around her waist, I didn't know what to do.
"Is that better?" She smiled and returned to her desk. "Now, clean this up."
"Can't I just get Bronte to do it?" I whined, I didn't want to spend another minute in here.
"Fine, make it snappy though. Go." She was now reading papers.
"Wait- do I have the week off?" I turned my heel.
"Uh huh, whatever, sure." She wasn't even paying any attention to me anymore, so I ran out like the devil was chasing me and I'm sure she was.
