When I Fall Down, I Stay Down
Simon shot out of his bed in a cold sweat. The realization soon struck him as he took in the surrounding environment. Only a dream- no, a nightmare. Simon should have been used this by now. These nightmares had followed him for as long as he could remember. Ever since he was even a small child, he had been haunted by these horrid nightmares. His coma state hadn't helped either.
His mind was stuck in his dream, too concentrated on that to be able to realize the rest of the world. Simon couldn't even seem to realize the tears that were staining his cheeks. He let out a chocked sob as he sat-up in his bed, resting up against the headboard. The cold wood immediately making him snap back to the real world. He took a second to look around his dark room, before immediately feeling scared. Childishly scampering to the light-switch. At some point between getting out of his bed and going to the light-switch: poor Simon had fallen over clumsily.
His leg caught itself in his covers, causing him to fall over his own self. Everything seemed to go in slow-motion as he fell towards the floor, knowing his very sad fate immediately. He tried to brace himself for the impact, but alas, he could not do so in time. Although the buildup was slow, the impact itself was quick, though it still had pain as an addition. Simon had let out a cry of pain as he slid against the carpet, tears staining his cheeks once again. He let out a choked sob, which only grew louder and louder as he lairs there. He didn't get up though, instead he lay there: broken and defeated in the cold dark room he considered his.
That's where David had found him. He had entered the room after hearing the racket that was admitting from it. There he had found Simon sprawled across the floor, blanket draped over him from the torso and down. Simon's head slowly lifted as he looked up at David, who's eyes widened. Blood was pouring from Simon's noes and into his mouth. David let a strangled gasp escape from his mouth as he looked down at his injured friend. David let out a heavy sigh as he flipped on the lights, soon approaching Simon.
"Simon, what happened?" It was a simple question really, but it was enough to make uncontrollable butterflies form in Simon's stomach. David carefully cupped Simon's chin as he tilted to up, looking him in the eye. Simon tired to look away, however David's face was much too alluring and his grip was strong, yet gentle as well. Simon tried to answer, but the words had been caught in his throat. As a result awkward silence has crept into the room, and settled for a long period of time. David knew the quiet atmosphere wasn't going to leave for a long time, and it was clear Simon wasn't planning on answering. This caused had caused him to finally break the silence with a few simple words.
"Let's go get you cleaned up now," he spoke gently, voice filled with caring. Simon did nothing but nod meekly, obviously nervous. David sighed softly, before a smile spread across his face. He stood slowly, extending a hand to Simon's reach. Simon took David's hand in a hesitant manner, using it to help himself stand. David once caring smile turned sly as an idea popped in his head. He smirked widely, before leading Simon to the restroom where the first-aid kit was. He cleaned up Simon swiftly, yet skillfully at the same time, eager to go on with his plan.
Once done and proud he found himself in Simon's room, about to make sure Simon didn't do anything stupid as he let his little plan into action. He smirked widely and mischievously as he surged forward gabbing Simon and swiftly laying his down on the bed. Simon let out a squeak of surprise at David's sudden moments. David only smirking in return. He leaned down next to Simon's ear, whispering something to him, which left Simon in complete shock. He spoke softly, yet somewhere in back of his voice he seemed nervous. Simon was left in shock at the three words David had let slip out, repeating them over and over agin in his head.
'I Love You,' it was a simple everyday phrase, that he had heard everyday of his life for as long as he could remember. He had heard guys say it to girls, his Mother say it to his Father before he passed away, he never thought someone would say it to him though. Simon was shocked to say the very least. At the same time a bit a joy and happiness had sparked which had lit it self into a raging fire. He had to admit he had been keeping an eye on David as of late, and now those feelings weren't being returned. He shook his head as tears poured down his cheeks in happiness. He smiled widely, looking up at David in tears as he spoke, "I Love You Too."
David paused, looking down at Simon before surging forward once again, this time: to connect there lips. Simon's eyes went wide, before he let them slid close, leaning against David's lips. The warmth was almost too much as he wrapped his arms around David's neck, just happy to share this one sweet moment. David smiled into the kiss, before puling back and looking down at Simon once again. Simon looked up with big eyes, glancing down at David's lips. David only chuckled, placing a short n' sweet kiss upon Simon's lips before pulling back. Simon whined, crossing his arms and sticking out his tong in a purposely childish manner.
David laughed softly before shaking his head at Simon. He dropped down next to Simon on the bed, quickly snaking his arms around Simon's waist and pulling him into his chest. Simon looked up at David and smiled warmly as cuddled up against him. There legs soon intertwined, warmth surging throughout each-other's bodies. David couldn't ignore the sound of soft and steady breathing next to him, knowing Simon was asleep. He smiled happily, as he pulled in Simon by his waist closer to him. After placing one finally soft kiss upon his forehead, he couldn't stop his eyelids from dropping down as he finally fell asleep. Holding the man he loves close to him.
