PoY 1.2 - Caged Birds Do Not Sing
Bright plumes,
Myriad hues,
Chirp and trill
Sweet tunes.
Yet when caught,
In a cage;
The gold bar,
Isn't its stage.
Cries in fear,
Beats its wings;
Caged birds,
Do not sing.
Week 1 - where one had to write a tri-dodeca, a format invented by Bill Temple, the founder of PoetsPub. It is a poem of three stanzas of four lines each and every line should have only three syllables.
