Being surrounded by tourists is the only downside of the towering library where Eyvindur and Hyörtur met and did "Homework".
Next to them a woman was reading a book and listening to music through headphones.
Hjörtur could faintly hear "Wildest dreams" by Taylor Swift playing from them;

He said let's get out of this town, Drive out of the city...
Away from the crowds
I thought heaven can't help me now
Nothing lasts forever...
But this is gonna take me down

He looked around the shelves and saw Eyvindur with a book in his hand staring at the shelves and picking out more.
Seeing him so calm and beautiful made Hjörtur's heart race, he felt his cheeks grow hot and he looked down at the book on ancient history.
'No body knew why the Sphinx had barely a nose,' he read.

He's so tall, as handsome as hell.
He's so bad, but he does it so well.
This could be the end before it begins, my last request is...

He glanced up again Eyvindur was coming toward him.

Say you'll remember me,
Standin' in a nice dress staring at the sunset, baby
Red lips and rosy cheeks,
Say you'll see me a-gain even if it's just in yoooour...

Just then, he heard a little 'bing!' From his phone. He pressed the 'on' button on the device and the screen was illuminated.
It was 5:50 pm, there was a text below it; it was from his parents.
It said:
'Where r u? COME HOME NOW'

Eyvindur was now at his shoulder.

"We should go anyway," he said putting the books into his backpack. "It's getting late."

Hjörtur stood up. He was only a millimetre or two taller than Eyvindur.

"I love you." Hjörtur said, and bent down placing his lips on Eyvindur's.
It was a warm affectionate kiss.

Suddenly Eyvindur's phone "dinged" they broke away from each other.
"I need to go." Eyvindur said.

"Same," Hjörtur said. "Bye."

Hjörtur wrapped up his scarf and stepped out of the library, into the snow.

"Where have you been?!" Hjörtur's mother yelled before he had even reached the house.
"The library," he said. "It's not like I went to Australia!"
With that he stalked into his room and shut the door.
He was immediately met by his older sister, Iris.

"When are you going to tell them?" She asked

"What?" He said.

"That all these days you've been; at the library, studying, reading. You've just been with your boyfriend."

"Ahh," he said. "When they're ready..."
