The planet Zarwania was three light years away from earth. The Zarwanians have had a terrible curse. Their land was frozen away, beneath the glazes of ice caused by a powerful sceptre that penetrated deep into the core, freezing all forms of water.
In the tallest tower, there was a very special princess.
Her name was Chrystilium, meaning "Pure of Heart" in her language.
To her, this was just some royalty name. But to her parents, this had a more deeper meaning, a meaning more profound than anything beyond Chrystilium's imagination.
Today, she was going to do something she would never dream of doing before.
Today she would be her people's salvation.
When the seventh moon came above the dwellings of the Zarwanians, it's blue tint shone across the icy paths. Icicles spiked up from the ground, reminding them of the ancient curse set by the Ice Queen.
But regardless of all that, they still went on their daily activities.
In Chrystailium's tower, she too would soon rise to the blue glow that filled up her whole room.
Eventually, she began to stir.
Chrystilium's eyelids soon parted away, revealing her enchanting oceanic green eyes that sparkled brightly. She gave a little yawn and slid out of bed. Her raven black hair ripples out like water. She flew over to her wardrobe to get dressed.
While twirling in the air, she got out her clothes. She swirled into a strawberry pink dress, with leaf shaped fringes that had a light blush. She tied on her turquoise shoes and did a final stretch to snap her out of her sleep.
While her arm was still suspended in the air, she noticed the sapphire stone bracelet brightly glowing. It was a family heirloom, passed down generations. She looked at it curiously as it has never glowed before.
I wonder if Mother knows anything about this? She thought.
Keeping her thoughts on her bracelet, she settled back on the ground and went out of her bedroom door.
Going into the kitchen, she found her mother.
"Good Morning mother," Chrystilium greeted.
"Good Morning my precious," Mother replied.
"Do you know why my bracelet is growing?" Chrystilium held her arm up.
Queen Cassindra, casted her eyes upon it. Noticing the way it was glowing, her eyes grew wide.
"It is time," She muttered.
Chrystilium's innocent face became filled with confusion as her mother grabbed her hand and they headed out of the kitchen to meet her father who was out harvesting.
They walked through their grief stricken village. The sunken faces of their subjects saddened Chrystilium's heart. They have been living in misery for as long as Chrystilium could remember. But this was all about to change.
When they reached her father in the Alchime forest, he was harvesting the fruits.
"Hey honey," Queen Cassindra said.
"Hello my girls," King Derrazil said.
"Chrystilium has come of age," Her mother said in a low tone.
"Really?"
"Yes."
"I see....come on then," Derrazil started heading deep into the forest, with Cassindra and Chrystilium following behind.
The Alchime trees had giant leaves that branched out, shading the family from the blazing heat of all ten suns that orbited Zarwania. A green smog with poisonous patches could be seen in the atmosphere.
When they got to a more denser area, they came across a cave. Inside of it was like an abyss of darkness, only a speck of light could be seen from inside.
"Chrystilium darling, do you want to know why your bracelet is glowing?" Derrazil asked.
"Yeah!"
"Do you want to know the true meaning of your name?"
Chrystilium pondered over her next answer. She always knew why she was named this.
"Yes Father," She finally said.
"Then go inside there and you'll find this old woman, don't be afraid, she'll have all the answers to your questions."
Chrystilium looked up at her father in hesitance. She didn't know what she was going to find but if she was going to learn the true meaning about herself, she would have to trust her parents.
Taking one final glance at them, she stepped into the cave.
Her eyes were struggling to see through the impermeable darkness. Her tiny footsteps could barely be heard as she walked deeper into the cave.
Eventually, she arrived into the room where the light originated from. She took a breath and walked in.
Sitting on a chair, was this woman who looked both old and young. She had sliver, wavy hair, her eyes, as white as snow and her face seemed as soft as cotton.
"Chrystilium welcome, I've been expecting you," She calmly said.
"Hi, how do you know my name?" Chrystilium asked shyly.
"I know many things about you, more than yourself."
Chrystilium still looked uneasy until the lady stretched out her hand. "Take a seat."
Chrystilium nervously took a seat. She was shaking a little while fidgeting with her fingers.
"Your one special child Chrystilium, more than you can ever imagine," She said.
"Really?"
"Yes, your the one who can save your people from the curse.."
"What do you mean? How?"
"Long ago," The woman got up and started to walk around.
"An ancient prophecy was muttered, born of royalty, pure in heart, eyes that reflected both water and land...."
Chrystilium was listening in shock. She fitted all those categories.
"When the Queen struck your people with the ice, I revealed to her all these things," She finally said.
"So what does this have to do with me?"
"It's you! Your the one that's going to defeat the Ice Queen."
"But how? I'm only little."
"Don't worry, soon all will be revealed," She then drew Chrystilium's attention towards her bracelet, which was glowing aggressively.
"What's it trying to tell me...." Chrystilium questioned.
"All in due time....." She then opened her portal to an endless vortex.
Chrystilium looked very nervous and stuck herself to the seat.
"Don't be scared, your powers will protect you."
"Well..... okay," Chrystilium finally got up and approached the entrance.
"Good luck Chrystilium, we're all counting on you."
Chrystilium took one last look at the lady before jumping into the vortex.
Immediately, she became engulfed into blue flames, but they did no harm to her. She became entangled in them as her whole body underwent a complete transformation to her true self.
Her body glistened like the morning sun, her hair tied itself into a bun while her large wings expanded into layers of mint transparency. They glided around her as a golden crown descended upon her head and a staff appeared in her hand.
Chrystilium's was admiring her new appeareance. She had never looked more beautiful than this.
Her happiness did not last long when her adversary, the Snow Queen was ascending from her hidden realm. Her face was as red as the hottest fire, her teeth clenched tightly as she approached her match.
"Princess Chrystilium, your mine."
Chrystilium gulped in fear but closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
This is for my parents and for my people....
Once she got her courage, she opened up her eyes. Filled with her sense of bravery, she dived down as she was going to fulfill her destiny.
