"No. Not while I'm still alive and kicking!" I hiss out, growling loudly as I hold onto the bones, power surging through me as I land in the coordinate to see Zeke and Armin talking together.

My mind flashes with the faces of every Titan user and I struck my lightning through the bones.

Titans! I call upon the shifters connected through the power of the nine titans, connected through the founder Ymir to awaken!

I huff out, energy draining from my body as I see the bones create titans from the past.

Porco.

Bertholdt.

Ymir.

Erens dad.

And many others. They all bow down to me.

This is your superior! The Guardian Titan whose purpose is to protect people! Remember your loved ones and fight back! Fight back against the founder who has kept you in comatose! Fight back to save humanity!

I snarl and the titans stand up.

Yes Guardian Titan!

They salute and run off to help the cadets fight back. "(Y/n), think you could get me to the suicidal idiots head?" Jean lands on my hand and I nod, aiming to throw him but I stumble from the lack of feeling.

"Something... isn't right..." I brace myself against a bone and I launch Jean forward as he easily flies over the battlefield. He grabs hold of the trigger and slams it down, explosions lighting up the area as Erens head falls off.

"What the fuck!?" Levi hisses out and I see the spine trying to attach itself back to Eren and I jump forward. "(Y/n) no!"

Goodbye, everyone.

I smile, covering Erens head and I scream out as the spin attaches itself to me on the back of my neck, forcing me into darkness.

"You are weak."

I sputter out blood as a kick lands against my stomach, forced awake by the one and only Ymir.

Rude way to wake someone up.

I groan and she glares down at me, back at the coordinate but I couldn't feel my body. It was like heavy lead and tar, being dragged down or sinking into the ground and I look down to see that I was sinking into the sand.

"It's finally time for true freedom."

I look up to see Ymir staring at a makeshift screen of what was happening outside.

She's going to take over my Titan and leave me here...

I watched as Armin was fighting against Eren, my Titan form slouched and unmoving as the wall titans crumbled to their knees.

"I have waited for 2000 years for my freedom."

Ymir mumbles out and I feel fatigue wash over me. I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep.

For a very... long... time...

Maybe it's for the best.

I'm so tired.

I should just... sleep.

"(Y/n)!" I slowly open my eyes, hearing a familiar voice call out to me. "Come back to me please!"

"Levi?" I look up and I see him standing before my Titan, screaming up at me to wake up. "Levi!" I was fully awake and panic surged through me as I scrambled my way out of the sand.

"What are you doing!?" Ymir hisses out and I glare at her.

"I'm not done with you! You can't take over me!" I growl out, hearing Levi's voice over and over. "I swore to protect him! My job isn't done!" I screech out, pouncing in Ymir and we tumble to the ground. I pinned her down, trying to figure out a way to get back when I gasp in pain. A hand picks me up from Ymir, squeezing me in its grasp and I look up to see it was my Titan.

"You are finished! The only reason you are here is as a vessel for me to escape! I'm not being a slave anymore!" Ymir screams out and I falter.

She didn't want to be a slave to anyone.

I shriek as I feel my bones crack and I gasp out. "I get it! You have been used as a slave for thousands of years while you were in here, and even while you were I alive. I get it! You just wanted to be free!" Ymir turns around ignoring me and I huff out. "But this isn't the way! You created my Titan as a Guardian to protect people, I have to believe that you still feel the same way!" Ymir freezes and I know I got to her. "You have protected Eldia for so long, keeping them safe with the power of the titans to ensure they don't become slaves. But look at what you've done to Eren! The same thing you swore to prevent others from doing, you're doing to him... to me-"

"-I am giving him freedom!"

"Are you!? You have influenced his mind to act according to your will! Just as Fritz did to you!" Ymir frowns, fisting her hands.

"You don't understand anything!"

"Maybe I don't! Maybe I won't ever will but all I know is that I will continue fighting, not as a slave but as someone who loves those people down there! Even if it means fighting you!" Ymir blinks at me in surprise.

"You love them?"

"Of course I do." My voice cracks as I cry, thinking about the cadets. "Since the moment I've been here, I've tried to protect every single one of them. They're like my children." I chuckle embarrassingly. "I know you can understand with your kids. You would do anything for them." Ymir nods, turning back around to see the screen.

"This man... he's screaming for you."

"I swear to fucking god Levi."

"You love him."

"I do. I really do." I nod and Ymir falls to her knees.

"You would do anything to protect him, even if it means your life..." I know Ymir could feel my emotions for Levi and I nod. "You truly love him and he loves you. Unlike the love I thought I felt for Fritz..."

"Your life had been robbed from you and it's terrible, but please, don't rob his life away from him. I have prevented so many deaths that would break his heart over and over." I remember Hanjis death, Sashas, Miche, Petra, Olou, Gunter, Eld. I remember the pain he has to endure of the thunder spears blast from Zeke.

"You prevented all this, just for him." Ymir gasps out as she saw my memories.

"They were supposed to happen but I couldn't let them. No matter the consequences, I want Levi to be happy." I smile sadly, memories of his love in his eyes shining for me. I get set down on my feet gently and I hiss slightly from the pain.

"Why...?"

"They want freedom just as much as you Ymir. But not like this. Not with a worldwide massacre. Too many innocents dead... Too many children who barely lived their lives..."

"I just wanted to be free." I walk over to Ymir and hug her. She cries into my shirt as a child would for their mother when they were upset.

"I know." I soothe her hair back and I come to my decision. "Ymir, you can take my Titan. I don't have much time left anyway..."

"No-I-"

"-it's ok." I smile down at her. "Just promise me, protect the humans. Continue to be their Guardian please." Ymir frowns.

"I don't want to be alone. Don't leave me alone."

"You won't be alone." I peer over and see Ymir's children running for her. She embraces them happily and I look over at Hanji trying to hold Levi back from my body as he cried. "Ymir, can I complete my duty, one last time?" I look over at her and she nods and I sigh out closing my eyes finally feeling my limbs.

"(Y/n)!" I slowly open my eyes and look down to see Levi gaping up at me as I smiled.

"You're ok! Fuck you're ok!" Hanji squeals out and pounces on my knee, hugging me. I nod and turn around to see Armin struggling to fight Eren and I get up.

"One last job." I breathe in, ripping the spine off from my neck and it shrieks out for a body. I hiss as my body transforms once more with the founding Titan power, resembling Ymir's first Titan form with the bones protruding from my ribs. "Time to die monster." My eyes flash red as I summon every ounce of power I had left, dark clouds circling above my head. Red lightning circles around my hands, building up in size as charged balls and I scream out blasting the thing dead. It screams and burns alive, disintegrating to dust. 

"Armin! Move!" He quickly moves out of the way and I frown at Eren. "Goodbye Eren." He frowns at me and I scream out, blasting all my energy at him. He struggles against the power, stumbling back but he screams as he slowly melts away. The other titans around us crumble into sand and I know that peace will finally be achieved soon.

They will be ok without me now...

"Mikasa! Now!" Levi growls out and I know she went to cut Erens head off. "(Y/n) stop! Your arms!" I shriek in pain as my arms start to melt away.

Calm down!

I breathe in, the lightning fading away and I fall to my knees. "(Y/n)! Hanji hurry, we need to cut her out-What are you doing!?" I look down to see Hanji holding Levi back once more and she frowns at me, knowing it was time.

"Levi, I love... you..." my voice distorts as I slowly lose consciousness, my vision blurring and I know I was being pulled back.

Levi looks at me with wide eyes when he realised what was happening. "No! You promised me! You promised you wouldn't leave me! (Y/n) don't do this!" He screams out and I smile sadly at him.

"I'm sorry Levi. I have... to leave." I lean down to gently brush his face with my finger. "I didn't want to tell you... it would hurt you too much. I'm so sorry."

"What is she saying!? Hanji What is she on about!?" Levi screams out, furious and the other cadets help Hanji to hold Levi back.

"I love you all. Thank you for the many years worth of memories I have spent with you all." I cry out, tears streaming down my face.

"(Y/n), where are you going?" Mikasa calls out and I shake my head.

"I don't know..."

"Please (y/n)... I love you!" Levi calls out.

"I love you for infinity Levi..." I softly mumble out one last time.

I suddenly get ripped away from Levi, his pained cries as he called out for me fading away as I fall into neverending darkness. I cry out, trying to reach Levi as my vision of him fades away, his arms trying to grab onto mine but I just fall faster and faster. My hair and my tears float upwards as I fall, the deafening silence breaking as I hear Levi's voice again. I look around and I see memories of him playing around me like short videos.

Memories of Levi's smile.

Memories of Levi's laughter.

Memories of Levi scolding the cadets.

Memories of Levi screaming at Hanji.

Memories of Levi looking at me with all the love in the world.

Memories of Levi holding me close.

Memories of Levi loving me.

I scream out, trying to grasp onto the memories but they also fade into darkness.

"I love you (y/n)." I cry out as I see Levi above me facing me with the same warmth in his eyes, tears spilling down his cheeks as he said those 3 words to me. "I love you so much." I could feel the phantom feeling of his fingers brush against my cheeks and I hold my hand to my cheek, begging to feel him again.

"I love you too Levi." I whisper out, the last memories of Levi fading from my eyes as I succumb to the darkness.
