"READY (Y/N)!?" I throw a thumbs up to Hanji as she stood on top of a cliff overlooking me and Eren. Levi was standing beside her, his arms crossed as he stared at me. I raise a brow at him and turn around, ready to transform. Levi and I hadn't spoken since yesterday at the crystal pool. He had gone off to speak to Erwin at Trost and coming back early this morning where I just avoided him at all costs. No one seemed to pick up on my down trodden mood and I was counting on that. I didn't feel like talking to anyone.
"There has to be a more efficient way for you to transform brat." Levi calls out, eying the blade in my hand as I hovered it over my wrist. "It's a morbid look."
But one that helps me to actually feel not dead inside.
"I prefer it this way..." I mutter out, the familiar buzzing sound intensifying in my ears as lightning cracked down on both me and Eren. I howl out, dropping too my knees all of a sudden as a wave of fatigue hits me.
"(Y/n)!? ARE YOU OK!?" I throw another thumbs up to Hanji, standing on my feet to see Eren looking up at me as he sat on the floor.
"Yaeger finally did a full transformation."
"Ok! (y/n), now I want you to try and control Eren like you did before with the Jaw titan!" I huff out, unsure of how to do that.
"How?"
"How that hell are we supposed to bloody know?" Levi calls out and I glare at him, his tone irking me slightly. I huff out and focus on Eren, looking at where his heart would be.
My vision slowly turns red and I notice a bright red line connecting me to Eren. "Stand up Founding titan." I demand, my voice poise withs superiority and Eren stands up, bowing.
Guardian Titan.
Eren stands up straight as he blinks at me, shaking his head when the red line disappears.
(y/n)?
"Didn't work." I gruff out and Hanji calls out to try again. I focus on Eren again, trying to imagine the line and it appears.
"Tell Eren to do something!" Hanji squeals out in excitement and I look at her before turning back to Eren.
Founding titan, walk to the black-haired female and pick her up gently.
Yes Guardian.
I watch as Eren walks up to Mikasa as she sat on her horse, looking up at Eren in confusion. "Is something wrong Eren?" he leans down and pick up Mikasa gently in his hand and brings her over to me as she sat in his palm.
Put her on your head.
Eren does exactly what I say and I look up to see Mikasa holding onto Erens hair and make sure to not fall off. "OMG! IT'S WORKING!" Hanji squeals out, jumping up and down.
Now jump.
Eren looks at me and crouches down low before bolting up into the air. I hear Mikasa gasp in awe as she looked around her before Eren came back down. He blinks at me in confusion, the line between us flickering and I gasp in pain as it snaps.
"(y/n)!" I stumble back, clutching my chest and growling in pain as Eren turns his head constantly trying to look for Mikasa. Hanji appears in front of me as I rubbed my chest, a look of worry on her face. "What's wrong!?" I shake my head and look up to see Levi help Mikasa back down to the ground.
I see Jean fly over to help Eren out of his titan form and Levi flies over to me. "Why can't you control that Yeager brat for longer?" I shrug and let Levi cut me. I gasp out as I rise from the titan flesh, wincing as the muscles burn my skin.
"Hot hot hot!" I shriek out, the heat on my skin almost feeling like it was being melted off.
"Shit-" Levi quickly cuts me free and I sigh from the cool relief.
"That's a first..." I mumble out, flinching as I peel the muscles off my skin.
"That's enough experiments shitty glasses." Hanji whines out as Levi carries me back down to the ground safely. I stumble over my feet but he steadies me up. "You still look like shit. You should've rested today instead of agreeing to help Hanji." Levi mutters out as (h/n) trots over. He lowers down enough for me to get on his back and I hear Levi grumbled. "Are you really ignoring me?"
"I'm not ignoring you Levi... I'm just tired." I mutter out tiredly and he frowns. I don't spare him a glance and race back home to where the other scouts were.
I watch over the cadets as they chatted happily, making dinner together in cheerful chaos. I chuckled as Connie held back Sasha from eating all the food as the others scattered doing different jobs. Everyone was still worried about me looking tired and not healing properly so they stuck me to making some tea which I happily obliged.
It has been way too long since I had tea.
I sigh out in bliss, holding the warm cup in my hand while taking little sips.
Maybe I should bring some to Levi...
I set my cup down in a tray with an empty one along with the kettle filled with tea. I carefully lift the tray with both hands, making my way up the stairs to Levi's temporary office.
As soon as I reached the closed door, I kick it twice since my hands were holding the tray. "It's (y/n). My hands are full." I call out and I hear a chair scrape along with footsteps coming closer. Levi opens the door and looks down at me, raising a brow before moving back to let me in. "I made some tea and I thought you might like some." I mutter out before taking my cup and drinking it.
"Thank you (y/n). I really appreciate this." Levi sighs out almost in relief that he had tea and I settle down on a couch as he went back to his desk to continue paperwork. "Didn't think you also liked tea."
"Please. I would be dead without it. I have to have at least one cup every morning." I sigh out, feeling warm from the sweet liquid. I look up to see Levi stare at me with wide eyes. "What?"
"How do you take yours?"
"I need it to be sweet so add sugar if it's black tea, English breakfast or earl grey but add honey if it's green tea, Jasmin or lemon and ginger. Honey doesn't go great with the darker teas."
"So which kind is this one?" Levi asks and I raise a brow at him.
I'm pretty sure he's a genius with his leaves so why ask me?
"Black tea."
"So you put sugar in yours?" I nod and he hums, taking a sip. "You didn't put any in mine?"
"I'm pretty sure you don't like sweet things so no." Levi hums once more, thanking me for the tea before drinking it.
"This is not shitty for once. You did better than the other scouts." Levi mumbles in surprise.
"Really? I normally screw it up. It never tastes as good as my mums-" I shut my mouth, frowning into the cup as soon as the sentence left my lips. Levi narrows his brows at me, noticing the sudden silence.
"I'm guessing you miss your family." Levi questions. "Is that why you didn't talk at all today?" I don't say anything and get up to leave. "(y/n). I'm sorry." I freeze when Levi quickly apologises. "I'm sorry for bringing them up." He sighs out, setting the cup down gently and I sit back down on the couch. "I get it... Missing your family." I hear Levi get up and I look over to see him walk over to me to settle down on the couch. I take my phone out which barely had any charge left since I had it shut and I turn it on to reveal a picture of my family on my home screen.
"I haven't even thought about them once until yesterday... I'm such a shitty daughter."
"You're not a shitty daughter. Everyone hasn't had the time to settle down. Including you."
"Still. I don't know what's going on over there. Am I missing? Is there another me replacing my timeline? Do I just not exist over there anymore? Does my family not exist anymore?" I sigh out, feeling my eyes tearing up. "...I miss them. I miss my mum and my little sister." I hold my phone to my chest, tears trickling down my cheek. Levi quickly gets up to grab a box of tissues and hands it to me. "Look at me whine like a selfish brat. You've been through much worse." Levi frowns as he sits down next to me and I chuck my phone on the table. "I'm sorry Levi. I'm so sorry." The words spilled out continuously along with my tears and Levi's frown deepens.
"(y/n)-" the door slams open to reveal Moblit, his mouth wide open.
"Sorry for disturbing you captain but we have an emergency meeting downstairs." Levi nods and stands up.
"I'm gonna go." I get up and walk past the two boys.
"Aren't you taking your magic device?" Levi calls out and I shake my head.
"There's no point. It's going to die soon and I won't be able to see that image anymore. You guys go on. It's about Pastor Nicks murder." I slip past the doorway and walk off to my room.
