Aphmau picks up her dance bag and takes out her hair tie. Aaron watches her hair fall and blushes as she turns around to look at him. The light from the window hits her, making her tan skin shine.

     "Hey Aphmau, I uh, I wanted to take you out somewhere tonight. As a date? I just feel it'll be nicer than the first time we went out," Aaron suggests. This suggestion makes Aphmau's face lighten and she nods rapidly.

"Of course! Another date sounds awesome! What were you thinking of doing?"

"Oh! Well uh, I want you to meet me at the outdoor basketball court at 6! Don't ask why!"

Aphmau lowers her eyebrows wondering why Aaron would want to meet there out of All places. He does know she can't play basketball.. right? She shrugs and nods anyways.

"Awesome! I'll catch you then! I'll text you!" Aaron says, picking up his items and exiting the room with Aphmau.

"I just feel like there should be a spin here," Travis says, pointing at a recording of them practicing their original idea for the dance. Katelyn shakes her head.

"No way! It just doesn't seem... right!"

"I like the idea," Dante adds.

Katelyn sighs and points at the laptop in frustration.

"It just...ugh! It's too predictable!"

     Dante rests his arm on his knee and replays the video. His expression doesn't change as he watches and he turns back to Katelyn.

"Nope. Still think we need a spin."

Katelyn shakes her head and groans, shutting the laptop and standing up. She wishes they could just read her mind, but news flash, that's not how life works. She watches as the two stand up too and thinks to herself for a moment. 'How will I get them to do what I want?' Katelyn asks herself. She sighs and stands in front of them.

"Watch me. I want you to tell me if the dance seems basic or not," Katelyn says. Dante and Travis look at each other and shrug. They decide not to argue against Katelyn and watch her dance anyways. They sit down and watch Katelyn dance to her part and they can't help but to feel like something really is missing, but what is it? Katelyn finishes and catches her breath, her chest rising and falling and her hair sticking out from her ponytail.

"Katelyn! You're right! Something is definitely missing!" Travis finally agrees.

"Yeah, but what is it?" Dante asks.

The three of them stand in the room together in complete frustration and annoyance.

"Nana! You're home!" Kawaii Chan's mother, Dawn cheers. She goes to hug her daughter tightly and pulls away to smile at her with bright rosy cheeks. Kawaii Chan smiles back and prepares herself for many questions. She doesn't visit her family much, not that she doesn't want to, she just doesn't have much time.

"Oh sweetheart, take a seat, let's talk," her mom says, sitting on the soft white couch and pouring two cups of tea. Kawaii Chan nods and sits next to her mother and sips the warm sweet tea before setting it down.

"How has dance been treating you?" Dawn asks, her expression soft and caring.

"Oh, um," Kawaii Chan begins with an awkward laugh, "Well, Zane is a difficult person to work with. He just.. well.. he's difficult sometimes."

Dawn's expression changes to one of interest. Her head tilts to the side and and she take a sip of tea before speaking.

"Zane?"

"Oh!" Kawaii Chan realizes. She's so used to talking with Aphmau and Katelyn about Zane, it's kind of weird to remember that her mom has no idea she's dancing with him.

"Yes, Zane, he's my new dance partner! His brother is Garroth Romeave! Their parents are kind of a big deal!" Kawaii Chan mentions.

"Oh no, I remember, you had a huge crush on him!" Dawn teases, a smirk growing on her face as her face wrinkles slightly.

Kawaii Chan feels her face grow warm and she looks down at her feet.

     "It was not a 'huge' crush.. it was a little one," Kawaii Chan replies.

     "It was totally a huge crush!" Kawaii Chan's 16 year old sister says as she walks in.

"Ah! Meghan! I didn't see you walk by!" Kawaii Chan squeals, looking upwards with wide eyes. Her sister Meghan cracks up in laughter and sits on the arm of the couch, leaning in and hugging her older sister.

Meghan was only 6 years younger than Kawaii Chan, but she was really close with her. They got along well considering the age gap. Meghan had dyed her hair to be a darker pink color and had very long hair that reached the lower back area where her tail was. She had a slightly chubby face, brown eyes, and freckles across her cheeks.

"So how's dance treating you?" Meghan asks.

"Hm.. it's okay," Kawaii Chan replies.

"At least you're dancing with your boyfriend right?" Meghan smirks and nudges Kawaii Chan's side.

Kawaii Chan blushes again and lightly pushes Meghan.

"No! He's not my boyfriend."

As time passed five of Kawaii Chan's younger siblings also came by. They all had a 1 year age difference.

Kevin was one year younger than Kawaii Chan and he was very tall. Talia was two years younger, Rebel was three years younger , Carson was four years younger, Fallon was five years younger, and finally there was Meghan. It was the Same age gap with her older siblings. Destiny, Suki, Matt, Luis, and Mary.

"Junior year is lame. Everyone is depressed all the time like come on, life isn't that bad, right? I wish they would lighten up a little, you get me?" Fallon asks while the family sat at the table and ate.

Kawaii Chan laughs a bit and shrugs.

"Well-"

"You're coming to my graduation, right?" Carson interrupts, shoving a dumpling into his mouth.

"Oh! Yes! Of course Carson!" Kawaii Chan responds.

"Hey Nana! I never told you, but I finally came up with what I want to do with my life! I want to work in a wood shop!" Fallon says.

"Really? That's pretty cool!" Kawaii Chan says, feeling very proud of her siblings.

"My girlfriend is trying to be a teacher which is pretty cool," Rebel mentions quietly.

"Aw! It would really suit her! Penny is so sweet! Tell her to call me sometime!" Kawaii Chan says, smiling brightly.

Rebel nods and Kawaii Chan looks down at her phone to check the time.

"Looks like I better be heading out" Kawaii Chan says, standing up and setting her place in the sink, rinsing it off. Her family all stands up and attacks her with hugs. Kevin and Talia follow Kawaii Chan to the front door as the others continue eating.

"So, hows Laurance doing?" Talia asks, wiggling her eyebrows before giggling.

"Still not interested in you!" Kawaii Chan responds teasingly booping her younger sister's nose.

"You got lucky KC, you became friends with all the hot guys. Lemme tell you, Garroth shirtless! Wowza!" Kevin exclaims, fanning his face.

Kawaii Chan giggles and punches her brother's chest and shaking her head.

"Too bad Garroth and Laurance have a thing, they are too hot for their own good!"

"You two aren't ruining my ship either!" Kawaii Chan says, giggling more.

They all laugh for a while and give each other hugs.

"You're visiting again soon, right Nana?" Kevin asks, leaning against the wall, his hair falling slightly in front of his face.

"I'll try to! My schedule keeps getting busier and busier!" Kawaii Chan says more like a complaint.

"I hear ya."

"We just miss having our older sister around," Talia says.

"I miss you guys too! So much!"

They all smile and Kawaii Chan exits the house.

"Basketball court," Aphmau says, meeting up with Aaron.

"Hey to you too!" Aaron teases, bouncing a basketball to Aphmau.

Aphmau clumsily catches it and nervously looks at Aaron.

"Aaron, I can not play basketball."

Aaron raises his eyebrow and crosses his arms.

"Aw man, I guess our date is ruined then."

Aphmau feels her heart drop and she shakes her head and walks up to Aaron.

"No no no! I'll play with you! I'm serious!"

Aaron suddenly breaks out in laughter and takes the basketball from Aphmau. Aphmau lowers her eyebrows in completely confusion and watches the way his dark eyes seem to sparkle when he laughs. She blushes slightly and looks away.

"I actually wanted to sit here because I used to stay here to disappear from the world. I would dance here sometimes and it just felt safe," Aaron explains, taking a seat on the hard ground. Aphmau sits next to him and hugs her knees. Aaron could tell by her eyes that she wants more of an explanation.

"My parents, they are strict! They want me to.. well... be successful. They put me in ballet classes and gave me a choice for dance which I took it. I wasn't allowed to quit ballet, so dance was my getaway and I would come here to do it."

     Aphmau's expression softens and she reaches to intertwine her fingers with Aaron's. Aaron looks at her and smiles.

      "Seems like a cool place to get away, huh?" Aphmau says.

     "Heh, yeah." Aaron responds.

     Aaron can't help but stare because Aphmau is so beautiful. He feels like he can tell her anything. She just has a welcoming presence. Her smile is sweet, she's always nicely dressed, she's just unique.

     "Aaron, you're kind of freaking me out!" Aphmau teases, poking his cheek.

     Aaron nervously laughs and tears his eyes away.

     "Did you just poke my cheek?" Aaron asks.

     "Um I don't know, did I?" Aphmau asks teasingly.

     "You did!" Aaron says, pointing at her.

     "Oops!"

     Aaron laughs and Aphmau giggles, suddenly Aaron picks up his phone and starts playing music. "Lay me down" by Sam Smith and John Legend plays and Aaron stands up, holding out a hand to Aphmau.

     "Wanna dance?" He asks. Aphmau's cheeks turn a rose color and she nods. She takes his hand and he wraps an arm around her waist and holding her arm with his free arm. Aphmau wraps her free arm around his neck.

     The music plays loudly from the phone and the two of them slowly sway back and forth, Aphmau constantly tripping.

     "Um, now is probably a bad time to mention that I can not slow dance!" Aphmau says giggling.

      "Heh, yeah, I can tell!" Aaron says.

      Aphmau purposely steps on his foot this time. "Ow!"

     "Whoops!"

     The two laugh again and keep swaying. They don't say much for the rest of the time. It's mostly just teasing and Aaron telling Aphmau to let him lead. By the time they finish, they don't immediately let go of each other. They kind of just stand there in silence, holding each other. Aaron is the first to break apart and he looks down to smile at Aphmau. She smiles back and feels a fluttering feeling inside her stomach looking at Aaron. He feels the same way. They hang out for an hour longer and Aaron walks Aphmau to her car.

     "I had fun Aaron," Aphmau says, pulling a piece of hair behind her ear.

     "Yeah, I had fun too," Aaron replies.

     They don't even realize how close they are until Aphmau feels herself leaning on her vehicle. Aaron turns his head to the side and Aphmau stands on her toes to kiss his cheek.

     Aaron turns to her and blushes before leaning down and capturing her lips in his own, it's a quick but powerful movement that leaves both of them flustered afterwards.

     "I shouldn't have done that.." Aaron awkwardly says.

     "Hehe.. no.. I liked it."

     Aphmau smiles at Aaron reassuringly and Aaron smiles back.

     "I'll catch you at practice tomorrow."

     Aaron nods and opens the car door for Aphmau and he waves and she shuts the door.

     "Zane, in this recording you look way too depressed and Kawaii Chan, you are barely touching him in this dance," Katelyn points out, showing them their recording.

     "Katelyn, if you weren't aware, we don't necessarily get along," Zane mentions in a monotone voice.

     "Well yeah, but that shouldn't keep you guys from dancing well. I'm going to say it, but this looks like shit right now."

     Kawaii Chan looks down awkwardly and nods.

     "You need to act like you like each other. Which is why, I'm having you participate in an escape room tomorrow!" Katelyn says.

     "What?!" Both Kawaii Chan and Zane exclaim.

     "You need to get along. Work together. Become one."

     "That sounds like nonsense!"

     "Katelyn Sam- Katelyn, are you sure that's a good idea?"

     "Yes."

     "When?" Zane asks.

     "Tomorrow that's what you'll be doing instead of practice. No buts! Got it!"

     The two just nod in agreement and Katelyn nods too. She then receives a text at at the same time as Kawaii Chan. Both of their expressions change.

     "Aphmau and Aaron kissed?!" They both exclaim.

       "Yaaaaay! My ship!!!!" Kawaii Chan squeals, hopping yo and down.

     "Oh no! Seriously! I worked so hard on getting you to act more serious!" Zane complains.

     "Hush Zane Kun! My ship! My ship!" Kawaii Chan continues squealing. Katelyn just laughs and nods.

     "Alright, enough, who's ready for the escape room?"
