"I'm asking you for the thousandth time, will you tell me what the hell happened??" He roared as he came in front of me, blocking my way to walk past him like I was doing before. He nrrowed his eyes at me, jaws clenched, nerves popping out from his musceled arm!!

"There was danger. You were about to get attacked again. I didn't knew what else to do so I brought you here!!" I defended myself.

"Yeah, right!! Do you even have the slightest of idea also where we are now??" He growled.

"Yup, we are trapped in the construction elevator, most probably on the twenty-fourth floor!!" I said innocently.

"Yes, you are right!! But do you know that there's a power cut and we can't get out of this damn thing!!!" He said running his hands through his hair.

"Why are you making me feel as if I'm behind all of this" I said crossing my hands over my chest.

"Keep your mouth shut" he ordered.

"Anyone's there?" He shouted

"Can't you see that there's no one here?? If anyone would have been here then there won't be a power cut and this elevator would have been running normally!!" I gave him a peace of mind.

"Wao...you're so intelligent" he mocked and clapped and I just glared at him.

"Listen, I didn't bring you here on purpose, I got this text and my first instinct was to save you. And we called this humanity, but this word has no connection with you!!" I said angrily showing my cell.

"Not everytime he'll be lucky. Wanna know a secret, lemme tell you. Yes, you both are connected and I'm here to cut the wire!!"

His face turned from anger to shock to emotionless then again to anger.

Without saying anything he called someone and told them about where we are. I didn't wanted to talk to him so I sat down in the corner.

"I'm sorry" he said softly.

"Say again?" I said hiding my smile. He just gave me a glare, making me roll my eyes.

"Sooo...since we have time now then why don't you tell me what actually happened with you on that plane?" I asked looking at him.

"Even I'm clueless. We did a double check before boarding the plane that if everything's alright or not. We were flying smoothly, when suddenly plane started shaking, there was smoke coming out of the plane and just in a minute, we crashed. Luckily me and two other colleagues escaped this accident." He said

"But the media said you were-"

"I know, I know, that I'm lost, I'm nowhere to be found or I might have been crushed down so badly that they can't even found my dead body" he laughed.

"How can you laugh when here we were dying to hear from you!!" I hissed.

"Were you alse tensed?? I mean just like other's were?" He asked

"Why does it matter?" I shrugged

"You're asking, me, that question? You do know after escaping that shit...I came to see you first" he said pointing at me.

"Am I that important to you?" I asked

"Just like I'm to you" making my eyes grew wide.

"Sir---"

"Oh!! So you guys are here!!" Aahil said making his entrance.

"I did gave you this adress" Sir said changing the topic.

"Yeah, yeah...now C'mon, I've many other things to do!!" Typical Aahil.

"For example" I said raising my eyebrows, standing up.

"Fine, but don't blame me for spoiling your innocent ears" he said.

"I'm out of this" I said surrendering my hands up. They both laughed.

We safely exited that construction site with the help of Aahil and now me and Sir were sitting back while Aahil was driving.

"Hoorain, why don't you take a day off?" Aahil asked.

"Uhmm..No. Need to complete those projects!!!" I said inhaling a deep breath.

"On how many projects you're working upon?" Sir asked.

"You won't believe it, she's working on four projects and all the projects have deadline right one after the other" Aahil answered.

"Oh please! Don't make me remember the dates!!" I said.

"Who is that fool who gave you four projects to work upon altogether?" He hissed. Me and Aahil both started laughing making him confused.

"What the hell is wrong with you both?" He asked

"That fool is--"

"You" I completed Aahil's statement and again we both started laughing. Just then my cell started ringing it was Uncle's call.

"Assalamualaikum" I said picking up the call.

"Walekumasalam, dear, where are you?" He asked

"Uhh...I'm with Sir and Aahil. I'm on my way, will reach home within twenty minutes." I said

"Mr.Aatish is with you? Is he fine? What exactly happened?" He asked

"Everything's fine, will come and tell in details"I said and hung up.

Exact after ten minutes my cell started ringing again.

"Imran" I said and picked up his call. "Hey, how are you? Where were you? I tried calling you but you never received my call!!"

"Well, I'm fine and you? Aahh..yes, I didn't picked up your call because I was busy in a meeting plus I wasn't well."he said.

"Not well?? Wait...what happened? You're fine Na?" I asked.

"Is Miss.Ahmed worried about Mr.Ahmed?" He teased.

"Oh...shut up!!"

"So this is how you're gonna show your love for me" he said

"I would die than to be in love with you" I said rolling my eyes.

"Ouch, you're a pro in breaking someone's heart!!" He said making me laugh.

"Will you drive fast" a voice boomed right beside making me drop my cell. He was clenching and unclenching his fist. His eyes had turned a shade darker.

"Are you alright?" I asked and one look from him told me to shut up!! I quickly picked up my cell and ended the ongoing call with Imran.

Soon we reached my home. I said Thank you and walked towards my home, when I turned back, but he was gone. He always waits for me until I go inside but today he went away. Is it because I talked with Imran or is it something else??

Ignoring everything I went inside.

"Mom...Hoori's back" Tashu screamed as soon as she saw me.

"What's there to scream?" I said.

"Jaani, how are you?" Aunty came anf hugged me.

"I'm fine" I smiled.

"Dear, how's Mr.Aatish and what exactly happened?" Uncle asked. I took a deep breath and then told them all the details.

"Oh my baby, are you alright?" Aunty asked worriedly.

"Yes Aunty I'm fine." I assured her.

"But why you didn't contacted anyone of us?" Uncle asked.

"I was out of balance" I pouted.

"It's okay. Everyone's fine that's the most important thing. My girl, you go and freshen up, the dinner is almost ready" Aunty said and I nodded.

The next day we all were busy doing our work in the office. There was a knock on the door.

"Come in" I said.

"Hey" Muskaan and Ambreen said

"Hey, you were not suppose to knock" I said standing up.

"We know that but we were just trying to be civil, you know" Ambreen shrugged.

"That can never happen"I said. "Anyways both of you here, now? Is everything fine?"

"Yeah...everything's fine, just like that we came." Muskaan said.

"It feels good that Sir is back and he's safe!!" Ambreen said

"Yes, Allahamdulilah. Otherwise I was going mad handling this office"

"Going mad handling the office or not finding any news of Sir?" Muskaan asked.

"What rubbish!!" I ignored her.

"Look, you can't hide from us. We both know that you're falling for him." They both said.

"You both are just over thinking"

"Keep explaining that to yourself!!"

"What's wrong with you both? I can never love him...I hate him. Whatever my life has become is just because of him!!" I said.

"It can be vice versa also. Just think Hoorain" they both said and left.

Finally after finishing all my work, I left for home. After walking down for a while I saw Naaz Aunty walking on the opposite side of the path. I decided to follow her. She then went around some bushes which led to a clearing. Four guys were surrounding her. I couldn't see their faces as they were covered with masks. Quietly I hid behind one of the trees.

"Please, please leave me." She requested

"Not so easily my dear." One of the goons said.

"I said I don't know anything." She said.

"But our boss says that you're the key to our mission, and he doesn't want to take any risk!!" The other goon said.

Key? Mission? Boss? What are they talking about? And why is Naaz Aunty being questioned by them?

"No, please...If you do anything to me then you all know you won't be able to work on your mission" she said.

"With or without you, we are very close to this mission. Right now you're the only obstacle in our way, which we happily want to remove it" One of the goons said.

Just then the other goon took out his pistol, pulled the trigger making everything go silent. Even the passage of the light slowed and the sounds became as if underwater. Aside from the beat of my heart, no muscle moved. The bullet entered as if she was nothing, just meat, blood bones, blasting a cavity in her back as it burst crimson into the fading day.

Her face, so beautiful in life was frozen, eyes open, mouth slack, as she propelled backward. Her eyes held mine and in those fractions of seconds she was there and then gone, the warmth of the ages that had been her love simply vanished. I can feel the sweat drench my skin, the throbbing of my own eyes, the ringing screams vibrating in my ears, and the thumping of my heart against my chest.

My fingers curled into a fist, nails digging into my palm. I can't hear my rapid breathing, but I can feel the oxygen flooding in and out of my lungs. Hesitantly, my eyes look at the dead corpse before me. Fear tortures my guts, churning my stomach in tense cramps. Fear engulfs my conscience, knocking all other thoughts aside. Fear overwhelms my body, making it drastically exhausted.

The paralyzing hurt spread through my body like icy, liquid metal. I clenched my fists as I hesitantly took each step. I noticed my feet tremble. My legs twitched, fighting the impulse to whirl around and sprint down that damp, shadowed bushes; my throat closed in threat of screaming. Fire in the form of water stung my eyes, threatening their attack.

I crunched my teeth over my lip harder than I ever had. Salty blood filled my mouth. Slowly, my brain picked up my feet in an unbalanced gait, carelessly dropping the lead weights to the ground with each harrowing step. Time takes it's own time. I remain hidden within the darkness of nightfall, amongst the trees. My heart throbbing in fear as I stand up against the cold wet wood.

The sky was hidden above the canopy of the trees, with only one sound to be heard; the sound of my own pulse throbbing in her ears. Suddenly, the silence surrendered to the haunting scream of footsteps, the footsteps approach me lurking closer. A narrow stream of moon light filled little areas of the ground as it spotlights, a shadow quickly followed avoiding the light watching me. 

I started freaking out. I was hypoventilating, trying to avoid making a sound. Each second seems to play on forever, as I stand perfectly still listening to the footsteps of my likely murderer. This area is not safe and I realise now that I shouldn't have given up hope.

"Now, now, not that easy to escape!!" Someone came from behind. Sweats tripped down from my forehead.

"Looks like we got our treat for today" the other person said grabbing me from behind. I screamed and started kicking my legs.

"Shhhh....we don't want anyone to get disturbed. That was not for public display but since you've seen now, it's time to pay the price!!" The other goon said covering my mouth.

"Leave her" came a dangerous serious voice.

"Not until she pays us the price!!" Someone said laughing.

"I said leave her, She's Mine!!"

I know I know it's been ages since I had last updated all my books and you all have got the right to get angry on me.

Trust me everyone, I so badly wanted to update my books but I just didn't got the time to do so. I was super busy with home. Recently my sister in law delievered a baby girl, me becoming an aunt. Allahamdulilah. So I was super busy with everything and since I'm staying with my in laws so it was not possible for me to update.

After all these things...then again my cousin sister's daughter went under an operation so again I was busy with that. Allahamdulilah she's fine now.

And now I finally got the time to update and I did. My beautiful readers you all have to cooperate with me. I can't update often but yes, now I'll try to update more frequently.
