"Man this is so embarrassing...." Seliph muttered to himself. Why did his half brother do that to him and embarrass him in front of the whole class?
"You need help?" The boy next to him asked.
"In getting revenge at my brother I do..." Seliph replied, his face red in embarrassment.
"No, I meant in this class... I saw your grade on the most recent pop quiz and figured I could help..." Chemistry wasn't Seliph's best subject compared to history or gym. "I understand how it is, once I got called out by my English teacher in the middle of class for focusing my essay on other topics instead of the history of whatever boring thing we were focusing on... Someone helped me out, and I'd pass on the favor."
"How can you help?" Seliph grumbled, placing his head on the desk.
"By being your study buddy!" The other boy said excitedly. He grabbed the back of Seliph's hoodie, yanking him up in the process.
"Ow... This is my favorite hoodie..." The first thing that Seliph took note of was the fact that the boy's handwriting was neat and clear, unlike the sloppy notes that he took in between rounds of Pokemon on his phone. "So how are we going to do this study buddy thing?" In all honesty he didn't even know what a study buddy was.
"Well, first off we're gonna clean up your notes, then figure out where you mess up. Is there any time I can get a hold of you?" The other boy explained
"Yeah, at lunch tomorrow and if I can you can come over to my place. I'm pretty sure my dad won't mind." Seliph said as he put one hand on his neck.
"Great! Name's Alm by the way." The bell rang, leaving Seliph to wonder what the hell he got himself into.
