Maria Grace had looked high and low for Kieran, searching for him everywhere. She had asked about a million people if they had seen Kieran or where they thought Kieran was but they came up with almost the same response each time.

"No.. I haven't seen Kieran... sorry."

"Who the hell is Kieran?"

"There are like a million Kierans here so you kinda need to be more specific on which Kieran you're talking about."

Soon Maria Grace gave up completely, almost thinking of swearing out loud however changed her mind because she wasn't someone that usually swore plus she had never swore in her life.

On purpose anyway.

For some reason, Maria Grace accidentally on purpose bumped into Kieran at the least expected place that she thought he would be.

"Hey! Watch where you're going you little-"

This was coming from Kieran who had just bumped into Maria Grace, and was fully about to scream at her, but then when he looked up at her, he kind of smiled a bit.

"Kieran!" Maria Grace just stared at him. "I'm so sorry for bumping into you... I know that you don't want to talk to anyone right now but that's fine..."

She was about to leave but then for some reason Kieran held her back by holding unto Maria's hand.

"Wait. Maria Grace?"

Maria Grace turned around steadily, staring into Kieran's eyes, Kieran doing the same thing back with Maria.

"Yeah..." she trailed off melodramatically.

Kieran's next response was a whisper as he pulled Maria Grace closer to him.

"Look, I know I said that but truth be told, you're the only person that I want to talk to."

Maria Grace was half surprised.

"Really?"

Kieran nodded vigorously then fake smiled at her. Maria Grace didn't know it was fake though Because it casually sounded real.

"Yeah."

There was silence after that as Maria Grace was thinking of what to say. She wanted Kieran to apologise to Dr Kozak without actually mentioning Dr Kozak's name.

Easier said than done though. Obviously.

"Kieran..." Maria Grace paused for a while before Kieran had had the chance to actually say or do anything. "Are you busy right now?"

Kieran just eyed her peculiarly up and down, possibly wondering what was going on and why Maria Grace had just asked him that.

"No. Not really... why?"

Come to think of it, there was no way to get Kieran and Dr Kozak to make up without actually saying Dr Kozak's name.

"You and I are going to Dr Kozak right now."

Kieran became exasperated instantaneously.

"No. No way, Maria. I am not talking to him for the rest of my life."

Although Maria Grace wasn't really taking the word no for an answer.

"But you and Dr Kozak need to make up!"

"No! I hate him, he hates me, it's going to stay that way till death, end of story!"

And Maria and Kieran were fully bickering over this as well, with some people walking past just staring at them wondering why they were screaming at each other with such a tremendous voice, others just videoing everything that was currently going on.

"Listen. You work for Dr Kozak."

Kieran folded his arms in disapproval.

"Yeah. And? What's your stupid point?"

"You two are supposed to be friends."

Kieran rolled his eyes- just thinking about Dr Kozak had kinda made him sick in the head.

"I work for Dr Kozak. We're friends. Cynthia Rose works for Dr Kozak. They're friends. Esperanza works for Dr Kozak. They're friends. So why can't you and Dr Kozak just be friends?"

"Because I don't want to be, okay? Maria Grace how many times must I say this to you before you fully understand: Dr Kozak and I don't like each other!"

Maria Grace was also relatively annoyed.

"Hmmm..." she was seriously thinking something.
"Then I'll change that."

She had then very unexpectedly handcuffed Kieran, dragging him along to where Dr Kozak was.

He was handwriting notes for something (presumably new questions for the test of justice) next to a place called 'Curl Up And Dye' which was where people had dyed their hair to a desired colour for five pounds.

"What the hell! Maria Grace! You can't just hand cuff me like that!"

Maria Grace didn't say anything.

"Plus where did you even get the handcuffs from in the first place?"

Maria Grace sighed, looking back at him as they were hurrying along.

"Dr Kozak gave them to me. Apparently he saw into the future just now and knew we were going to have this conversation, and also knew that if I told you to make up with him you'd say no and so therefore gave me the hand cuffs to-"

"Okay okay. I get it. No need to rub it in my face, Maria Grace," Kieran rhymed, rolling his eyes a second time, Maria Grace somehow not noticing or realising this.

Their conversation was obviously way before they had stopped right in front of Dr Kozak.

As soon as Dr Kozak was in sight, Maria Grace stood right opposite him, Kieran in the meantime trying as much as humanly possible to inconspicuously hide behind Maria Grace.

"Hey sir!" Maria Grace cheered, once she saw him. In the meantime Dr Kozak was handwriting something, albeit stopped doing this once he saw Maria Grace staring right in front of him with an endearing smile on her face.

"Oh hey Maria Grace. Didn't see ya there."

Maria Grace then smiled really widely, Dr Kozak taking some notes down- then when he looked up at Maria again and saw her smiling, couldn't really help but to smile as well.

"Well. That's a nice smile." He told her. "What's up?"

"I have a surprise visitor for you, Dr Kozak!" Maria Grace echoed for the whole of room 36,363 to hear.

Dr Kozak raised both of his eyebrows in bewilderment.

"A surprise visitor? Really? I wasn't really expecting a surprise visitor..."

"That's why it's called a surprise visitor, Dr Kozak !" Maria Grace reminded him, tapping his forehead playfully, Dr Kozak just kind of laughing.

"Well who is it then, MG?" Dr Kozak wanted to know. "Ah! I can hardly wait for this!"

Maria Grace didn't reply though. She just revealed Kieran, and when Dr Kozak saw Kieran he became annoyed immediately!

"What the heck is he doing here?!" Dr Kozak demanded, looking at Kieran in serious indignation.

"I was thinking the same thing!" Kieran argued back, screaming at the top of his lungs at Dr Kozak.

Nah, man.

You kinda sorta already knew that Dr Kozak was going to be here, haha.

"I know you were thinking the same thing because I can read your mind, you scandalous Neanderthal."

Then after that, of course, Dr Kozak and Kieran shot each other dirty looks at exactly the same time.
Maria Grace noticed this.

But she couldn't not comment on it, as that would have kind of been weird as hell.

"Guys, stop giving each other death stares," she soothed, just making Dr Kozak and Kieran roll their eyes at each other.

"And don't roll your eyes at each other either."
Dr Kozak and Kieran listened to her, for some reason.

"Listen. You guys need to make up."

Dr Kozak: No way.

Kieran: Over my dead body.

Dr Kozak: *is annoyingly looking at Kieran, Kieran is doing the same thing back to him* Not in a million years. Not even if he was the last guy on Earth. And that's a flipping fact.

Kieran didn't reply for a while, Maria Grace just staring at him wondering what Kieran was going to say next.

"Not in a..." He paused. "Quadrillion years!" He bickered.

"You guys need to make up," Maria Grace told them for the second or third time. "Honestly. You both used to be so close. It hurts me seeing you two fight like this!"

Dr Kozak rolled his eyes.

But he didn't really say anything else as he didn't find it necessary to do so.

"I saw that, Demetrius," Maria Grace told him, shooting him a warning look.

"I'm not making up with Kieran whether you want us to or not. He's the one that should apologise, not me. I didn't even do anything."

"Selfish much!" Kieran argued. "You did do something wrong!"

"What?"

Silent pause from Kieran, then..

"You were born!"

Maria Grace gasped, not believing what Kieran had just said. She then looked steadily at Dr Kozak, who didn't say or do anything.

"Guys. Please. Stop arguing."

"Why?" Kieran asked.

"Because do you guys know what happens to you if you continue arguing?"

No one said anything. They just both stared blankly at Maria Grace, who revealed a neon fluorescent sign that was behind her.

Everybody dyes.

To match with the curl up and dye store.

"Seriously, Maria Grace?" Dr Kozak whispered to her, Maria Grace not doing or saying anything.

The reason for this was mainly because Kieran was frantically tapping Maria Grace because he needed something.

"Yes Kieran.. what do you want?"

"Can I talk to you privately for a second?" Kieran said, low key squeezing Maria Grace's hand.
Dr Kozak had overheard them when Kieran insisted that he wanted to talk to Maria Grace privately, but didn't say anything.

Maria Grace turned to Dr Kozak next.

"Dr Kozak, do you mind if I go? Kieran would like to talk to me privately about something."

Dr Kozak nodded really slowly, not really saying anything.

"Sure, Maria, and hopefully you'll come back without Kieran..."

Maria Grace: Be nice, Dr Kozak.

Dr Kozak: Why would I be nice to the person that killed my five year old niece?

Maria Grace gasped, turning to Kieran who was in the middle of giving Dr Kozak a death glare, Dr Kozak doing the same thing with him.

Maria Grace: You killed Dr Kozak's five year old niece?

Kieran: *folds his arms and scoffs* I don't know what you're talking about.

Dr Kozak: *is yelling at Kieran* Don't deny it!
Kieran: *yells back* Shut up! I wasn't talking to you was I?!

Yes he was.

Dr Kozak didn't even have time to reply because by then Kieran had taken Maria Grace somewhere more private, really far away from the doctor.

Maria Grace: So what did you want to talk to me about?

Kieran: *shakes her frantically before saying anything else* Maria Grace! You can't force me and Dr Kozak to be friends with each other. There's no way I'm being friends with that jerk.

Maria Grace: *slaps him* Hey if anyone's the jerk here, it's you, Kieran. He didn't do even anything. You were the one that started this whole thing in the first place.

Kieran: But I don't want to make up with him though...

Maria Grace: You can and you will. Understand me?

Kieran: But-

Maria Grace: *she is literally stepping on Kieran's toes, with Kieran screaming in pain in the process* Understand me?!

Kieran: Yes yes! I understand you! Jeez.

Maria Grace stopped stepping on his toes promptly.

Maria Grace: *smiles wickedly* Good.

Kieran: *rolls his eyes* Fine

I'll listen to you and make up with Dr Kozak only because you're one of my best friends and you seem pretty desperate, plus I probably don't have a choice anyway.

Maria Grace smiled.

"Right..." she trailed off, removing the handcuffs from both her and Kieran, as they both walked back to Dr Kozak again.

Dr Kozak: You're back... *he frowns slightly* But Kieran's there.

Maria Grace: You two have to make up! Do you know how many people are annoyed that you two aren't friends anymore?

Kieran: No one's said anything about us not speaking.

Maria Grace: Oh really... *brings Agent Sylvester who was just walking past to the scene* Sylvester how mad are you that Dr Kozak and Kieran are having an argument?

Sylvester: I didn't even know that they were having an argument in the first place.

Maria Grace: Aaah! You're so useless Sylvester.

Sylvester: Thanks! I get that a lot.

Maria Grace: Not a compliment Sylvester!

Although Sylvester didn't reply as he was off.

Kieran: Fine! I'll make up with Dr Kozak.

Maria Grace: Thank you!

Although Kieran didn't finish his sentence.

Well of course he didn't finish his sentence. He left it half unfinished.

Kieran: At the end of the 22nd century!

Dr Kozak: *confused* But you'll be dead by then. We'll all be dead by then.

Kieran: Exactly!

No one said anything.

Kieran: I don't want to be friends with you, Dr Kozak.

Dr Kozak: And I don't want to be enemies with you, Kieran!

Everyone just stared at him, not believing what he had just said.

Dr Kozak: I have a confession to make. It may not seem like it right now but Kieran, ever since I've met you- you've been one of the greatest things that's ever happened to me in my life. You make me laugh, you make me smile, you make me angry sometimes but we make up afterwards. Honestly. It may not seem like it but I love you guys all so much. I love you, Esperanza, Maria Grace, Cynthia Rose, Ezekiel and many others all so much! I don't want to be in this argument anymore. Honestly. I just want to be friends for god sake. And I actually mean everything that I'm saying right now.

Maria: Wow. You hear that Kieran.

Kieran: Yeah well I don't want to be friends with the cruddiest doctor alive.

Maria Grace: *slaps him*

Kieran: So let me get this straight then. You're all on Dr Kozak's side?

Maria: Yeah.. yeah we are!

Kieran: *staring at Dr Kozak although talking to Maria Grace* But I swear- Dr Kozak just gave me the dirtiest look.

Maria: And I would do the same thing too but I'm not the master of death glares like Dr Kozak is.
Kieran just rolled his eyes in disbelief.

Kieran: Whatever. I don't want to be caught seeing with an idiotic Chinese girl and a crybaby doctor.

Dr Kozak: I am not a crybaby!

Kieran: Whatever... Bye losers.

Then in the blink of an eye Kieran was off once and for all.
