The chapter begins Inside the museum, a dean walks out of his office locks the door, and then walks out of the museum for the night.

Throughout the museum, Velma, Lukas, Daphne, Fred, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo stand still as different museum exhibits. Then, a pair of tombs open.

Dr. Dean: Is anyone there?

He backs away as he accidentally presses the button which causes the lights to go on as the speaker speaks, scaring him and causing him to drop his paperwork.

Dr. Dean: I really must switch to decaf.

Two warrior monsters with their weapons appear out of the tomb, preparing to attack the dean.

Shaggy Rogers: Professor... behind you.

The two monsters attack, as they look at Shaggy and Scooby.

Shaggy Rogers: Like... stay right there!

Scooby throws the saber-tooth tiger skin on one of the monsters until it rips out of the skin.

Scooby-Doo: Raggy!

Shaggy Rogers: Now, Scoob!

Scooby grabs the rope and releases the net, trapping the two monsters.

Shaggy Rogers: The trap worked, Scoob!

Scooby-Doo: Reah! (Laughs)

Shaggy Rogers: Give me four!

One of the monsters uses an axe to break free.

Shaggy: You're the man, Scoob.

Scooby: You're the man!

The two monsters poke their fingers at Shaggy and Scooby.

Shaggy and Scooby-Doo: Yikes!

The monsters chase after them as the Scooby-Doo theme song plays.

Then suddenly, a foot appears behind a curtain trips the monsters onto the floor, and crashes into the museum artifacts and objects.

Lukas: Watch your step!

Fred: Nice going, guys! You caught them.

Shaggy: Uh... right. No problem, Freddy. Like we had a little help.

A man shows up.

Daphne: Who are you?

Velma: (gasps in amazement) I don't believe it! You're Ben Ravencroft, the famous horror writer!

Ben Ravencraft: That's right. And let's see who they are.

Ben takes off one of the monsters' masks, which is revealed to be a person.

Dr. Dean: (gasps) It's Perkins!

Velma: (takes off a mask which reveals to be another person.) And Griswald! Disgruntled archaeologists from the museum's Babylonian project. They were upset with you for cutting their funding, Dr. Dean.

Perkins: And we would've gotten away with it too. If it wasn't for this... meddling writer!

The police arrest them.

Shaggy: Like, that's a twist.

Fred: At least, he didn't call us kids. I hate that.

Daphne: Guess you beat us to the punch, Mr. Ravencroft.

Lukas: Any reasons you're here, Mr. Ravencroft?

Ben Ravencraft: I was researching my latest novel when I saw these archaeologists acting suspiciously and decided to investigate.

Velma: Mr. Ravencroft, I am a huge fan of your work. I have read all your books which my opinion are the best horror stories ever written.

Ben Ravencraft: Thanks, Velma.

Velma: (gasps in amazed) You know my name?

Ben Ravencraft: And Daphne's and Fred's. (Chuckles) And Scooby and Shaggy's of course. And who wouldn't forget, Lukas?

Lukas and Ben shook hands.

Lukas: Pleasure to meet you.

Ben Ravencraft: I've admired your work on revealing supernatural mysteries for some time now. I mean, we're in the same business of mystery and the occult, right?

Velma: Oh please, what we do pales in comparison with the sheer ponderable fright of your novels.

Ben Ravencraft: I wouldn't say that.

Velma: I mean, take "The Dead Mall" for example. Oh, that creepy jewelry store owner was an incredibly complex character.

Ben Ravencraft: You're very kind. Listen, Velma, I'm going back to my hometown in Massachusetts this weekend to the house where I work my early books. I go back every year for the fall color. It's very peaceful and relaxing. Why don't you and your friends come to visit?

Velma: (gasps) Really? Oh, that would be great! Uh, wouldn't it gang?

Daphne: Yeah. We can use a break from all these spooky mysteries.

Lukas: Indeed. It's been years since I lived in Oakhaven.

Fred: You do?

Lukas: [nods] Yeah.

Fred: Right. You were born in Oakhaven.

Lukas: Yep.

Ben Ravencraft: Oakhaven does have one of the best restaurants in New England.

Shaggy: Like we're sold! Eh, Scoob?

Scooby: Yeah.

As they were about to leave, Lukas' eyes suddenly turned white.

He sees the picture of a woman in a vision.

And blinks he's back in the museum in front of the gang and Ben.

Lukas: [quietly] Who... was that?
