The Queen
As the sun rises over The Sister Moon, causing the icy ground the sparkle like diamonds, you march with your friends and allies toward your castle, now claimed by your aunt. You recall all the priceless treasures that decorated the halls of your childhood home, and pray your aunt hasn't destroyed them or used them in her own corrupted way.
As you march across the frosty planet's surface, you glance at either side of you. On your left is Raphael, Leonardo, April, Casey, Mikey, Donnie and The Fugitoid, walking tall and confident, prepared for battle. To your right is Sewcen and Farję, hand in hand with a fire in their eyes, and alongside them are Gwen, Osric and their merry crew. Gwen's scarred face was as strong and as cold as stone, and Osric nearly mirrors hers, but his lips twitch upwards with a playful and excited smirk. He holds Gwen's hand tightly as he walks, like he's asking her to be safe and return at the end of the battle to him, safe and sound.
Then you glance over your shoulder to behold the sight of your army, following your lead. Aliens of all shapes, sizes, colors and races, all old family friends and trusted allies. You smile to yourself, feeling hopeful.
As you march up the steps toward the old, sturdy castle, you feel a breeze that shakes your body and chills you to the bone. You clench your jaw and keep moving, but in the back of your mind, fear begins to claw into your thoughts like an illness. How many men does your aunt command? The banished men, plus all of your royal army.. your Uncle was the general.. your aunt– other aunt.. she was the kindest woman in the galaxy and his second in command..
The front gates swinging open snap you out of your thoughts, and you look up to meet eyes with your aunt– and the current queen– Diana.
Your breath leaves you. It has been years since you saw her last.. when you fled your home you only caught a glimpse of her figure. And now, as she stands here, you feel so... small.
She is adorned in silver armor and purple leather, along with her crest on a purple half-skirt. Her armor covers her shoulders and forearms, with flowy purple sleeves from the elbows up, and her legs from her feet to her thighs. Her tunic is a deep dark purple, and she wears belts around her hips, with her sword sheathed on her right side. Her bright red hair is pinned up with a few free curls tossing around in the frosty breeze, her pale face is rosy, soft pink lips straight and solemn. You stare up at her, and your wide, frightened eyes grow cold and glare at the sight of her face, with the blue markings that, along with her hair, are a tale-tell sign of her impurity. She dares call the planet impure when she herself is the most impure creature on the planet.. you could not understand her. You didn't want to. You just wanted your home back.
"Oh, my dear niece, how are you?" Diana asks in a sweet tone filled with hidden affection to hide her true loathing for you. Her eyes are narrow as she observes you, your strong, tall figure, your healthy face and newfound strength. Not the little girl she hoped to fight on this day, but instead a young, powerful woman.
You take a moment to slide off your helmet, making your voice loud and clear for all to hear while your silver hair flutters in the breeze behind you, long and glittering in the sun.
"Hello, Auntie. How were the banished lands?" Your tone is colder than the waters on this moon, and as uncaring as the winds that sting your pale skin. You can see her dark green eyes blacken with anger at your words..
"Cruel. Torturous. Unforgiving. But, I acquired some tricks and talents along my travels there." She smirks and stomps her foot, and a swarm of Banished Bandits surround her. They grin with dirty, gnarled teeth and look you up and down as if you were a piece of meat. "And men.. many men." Diana taunts.
You take a deep breath and straighten your shoulders, remind yourself to stay strong, and stand straight and tall. Enough of the teasing words and stalling from your true task. This day was inevitable, and there is no use in prolonging it.
"'Queen Diana of Lumina Stellar', I am Y/n Starlight," you begin, your voice loud, strong and commanding as you speak. "And I am here to reclaim my kingdom. Your days of wickedness and enslavement of my people are over, Diana, and on this day, you will leave forever, or perish!" You shout, clenching your fists as your allies' roar with applause and cheers of encouragement and agreement. You feel a smug smirk tug at your lips as you stare up at your aunt defiantly.
Diana purses her lips, appearing hesitant as she replies to your declaration of war.
"Very well. You wish a fight, then you shall receive one." She draws her sword and thrusts it up into the air with a great shout. "PREPARE TO BATTLE!"
You draw your own sword you had kept tucked away all this time, the blue gemstone in the hilt glowing brightly and pulsing with your beating heart.
"BE BRAVE, MY MEN, AND FIGHT WITH HEART!!"
Raphael glares at Diana as his brothers, allies and the army behind him raise their weapons with you.
"FOR LUMINA STELLAR!" The men cheer.
"FOR Y/N!" Raphael shouts. Farję looks at him and grins.
"FOR Y/N!" He and Sewcen cheer, sharing a fast, passionate kiss before steeling themselves for the battle head.
Diana glares and stalks toward you, weapon ready in her hands. You take another deep breath and ready your sword, e/c eyes cool and calm.
Time to take your home back.
