ALICE'S POV

"Maou, seriously.. where are you taking me?" I groaned. We've been walking for ten minutes through the damn park and he's still not stopping.

"almost there" he said while pushing me to move since my legs refused to walk since two minutes ago.

"you've said that ten times and here we are still walking towards wherever you're taking me" I pout

"we?" he asked with an eyebrow raised

"well fine you've been walking and pushing me" I grunted

He chuckled shortly "come on. We're almost there. Oh.. Right. Almost forgot" Maou said while digging into his pocket.

"a handkerchief? What fo- HEY! MAOU!! I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING" I protested when he tied the handkerchief around my eyes

"just trust me" he whispered near my ears making me shiver a bit

"fine" I sighed before Maou leads me to who knows where. Soon enough I can smell something nice..... It's... It's..... FOOD!!!

"Is that food I smell??" I grinned

"yeah we're passing through a food stand" Maou said

Damn. That food smells so good and my stomach wants 'em real bad.

"just kidding!! SURPRISE!!" Maou exclaimed eagerly as he took off the handkerchief

"the... Hell..." I breathed

What I saw is far from what I expected from Maou's surprise. It's way better!!

In front of me is a table for two under a tree that's covered with lamps. A few lanterns are scattered around the table.

"you set this up??" I asked in disbelief

"well.... Not exactly. I got a few help. It still takes up half a day to set this up but with the help of Izzy, Emi, Suzuno, and Chi, we managed to finish it in time" he grinned

"we?" I asked

"you'll see. Now come on" Maou grinned before he pulled a chair for me

I look at him with my head full of questions before I sat down on the chair.

"just wait a sec. The food should be ready soon" Maou grinned

"o... Kay?"

"here's your drink" a familiar voice said as two orange juice is served on the table

"LUCIFER WHAT THE-" I gasped in shock to see the neet dressed in a clean white long-sleeved shirt and black pants. Even his shoes are fancy. But that is NOT what I'm surprised at..... HE'S WEARING A FREAKING PONYTAIL

"Don't look at me like that. Your boyfriend and Ashita made me do it.... And Emi too... And your two friends... And suzuno... And chiho..." he trailed

"URUSHIHARA!!! GET BACK HERE AND HELP ME COOK THESE OR I WILL ADD YOUR EYEBALLS TO THE DISH" Karuchi's voice boomed

"AAAA- ON MY WAY!! DON'T KILL ME I STILL NEED MY EYES WOMAN!" He panicked as he sloppily ran away

"They cook here?" I asked

"well... Karuchi lends her griller to make the food" maou shrugs as he sips his drinks

"but it's huge"

"do you even know how strong your angel friend there? She literally can lift it with just one hand" Maou said

"karuchi? Damn. I know she packs some muscles but not that much" I sweat dropped

"excuse me, your food is ready" another voice said

"YOU TOO WITH THE PONYTAIL?! SERIOUSLY??" I shrieked to see Ashiya with his hair tied in a ponytail

"shut up. My ears are ringing-OW!!"

"shut your mouth neet! These two are our guests" Ashiya scolds after he hit lucifer's head with a spatula

"what are these anyway?" maou asked, changing the subject

" "that would be chicken steak with mozarella and barbecue sauce" Karuchi's voice chimed in as she walks towards us with another two plates of dishes

"and this is beef sausage with my special sauce" she grinned

"okay, what is this all about?" I asked while crossing my hands

"didn't he tell you this is a date?" Karuchi asked me back while glaring at Maou

"he did. But..."

"then that's that. Enjoy your meal lovebirds!! YOU TWO BACK TO WORK!! NOW!!" Karuchi yelled at the two demon generals who immediately ran away from her

I looked at Maou with one of my eyebrow raised, expecting some explanation.

"..... Fine.... You weren't yourself since that accident and we were out of ideas of how to make you feel better so we come up with this" Maou sighed in defeat

"was I really that bad?" I blinked

" you never come out of your house. Barely even your room. Not even when I or the others tried to persuade you to" maou sighed again while cutting his steak

"oh... Sorry 'bout that. I didn't mean to-"

"shush" he cuts before he filled my mouth with the chicken steak he just cut

" it wasn't your fault. I-" maou suddenly stopped talking and stares at his hand

"what?" I asked

"a water just dropped on my hand" he mumbled

I crinkled my nose when I feel a water dropped onto it. Soon enough, rain began to pour down.

"RAIN?! SERIOUSLY??!" Maou screamed in frustation only to make the rain falls more heavily.

"COME ON!! I HATE GETTING SOAKED" I shouted at him before I drag him away from the table

"MY DISHES!! NOO!!!" Karuchi's cry could be heard clearly

"IS THAT SERIOUSLY WHAT YOU'RE WORRYING RIGHT NOW?! WHERE THE HECK ARE WE GONNA GO TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS??" Izzy's scream cuts through the rainfall

"DAMMIT I HAVE MUD ON MY SHOES!!" Lucifer complains

"HEY!! THERE'S A GAZEBO! LET'S GO THERE!!" I yelled to them

A couple of minutes later we're standing in a small gazebo with our clothes soaking wet. Karuchi is trying her best to create a warm temperature with her magic but I'm not much of a help since the cold air is literally flowing towards me.

" tch! You and your ice powers" lucifer complained

"shut the hell up or I'll bury you in solid ice, you dumbass" I growled

" besides it's not like I want to have them at the first place" I mumbled

"what?" emi asked

"nothing" I lied. Yeah, Emi doesn't know about how I got my power and that my mother is actually a demon. She's gonna hate me if she knows that.

"say, Karuchi can't you use your magic to blow the clouds away?" Maou asked, changing the topic

"hmm.. I don't know. Let me try" she said before she stepped to the front and held out her arms towards the sky

Her eyes glowed blueish white and soon, some sort of hurricane appeared and 'attacked' the clouds. But when it was about to reach contact with it, it bounced right back and made Karuchi lost her balance. Luckily, Emi and Suzuno caught her in time.

"what happened??" Chiho asked

"are you okay?" Izzy asked

" no... I'm not... Something is up with the clouds. I don't know what it is though. But when I almost got there it bumped into something and sort of got pushed back with such force. And that makes me kind of dizzy" she groans

"just sit here. Ashiya, guard her from the rain" Emi ordered

"and why should I listen to you?" Ashiya growled

"it's fine. I'm fine... I just need to rest a bit" Karuchi said weakly

"..... Something is up there, huh?hmm" I mumbled as I scanned the dark sky

"see anything?" Maou asked

"not yet... Wait... What's that?" I asked as I see somesort of green forcefield beneath the clouds that is almost invincible.

"what's what? I don't see anything" Lucifer said

"she's half wolf and dragon. Her eyesight is ten times better than yours, neet" emi scoffed

"what did you see?" Suzuno asked

"a..... Green... Forcefield... It looks like it's protecting the clouds. Now wonder Karuchi cant go through it. I can sense strong power coming from it" I said

"what now?" Chiho asked

"... Maybe someone can break it?" ashiya asked

"who? Even Karuchi can't do that" Emi said

" maybe holy power will do the trick?" Suzuno aksed

"let me try" Emi said

Seconds later, Emi is sitting weakly beside Karuchi.

"so holy power won't work, huh?" Maou asked

"gee how did you know, genius? " emi asked sarcastically

" maybe a demon can?" Izzy asked

"my magic isn't enough right now" Maou said

"neither is mine" Ashiya said, all of our eyes landed on lucifer that's blankly watching the rain

"don't look at me, I'm in the same boat here" he sighed

".... Maybe a... Half... Demon... Can do it?" I asked making all eyes shot at me

"what? Who the heck is half demon here?" Emi asked

"...... I am"
