Okay so, this episode was... A Lot, and these notes are being taken a day or two after it's posting because, when it came out for me it was like 1 am, and I stayed up late to watch it, and holy hell it freaked me out. But now that I've calmed down, I can easily say it's one of my favorites.

These notes are going to be very similar to the ones I took for SvS. Only when I bring up Lore Bits, I'm gonna talk about them here, rather then separating them so I don't lose my train of thought as easily.

This will contain screenshots of the video, spoilers, mentions of Deceit and a lot of talk about,,, yeah. Him. There will also be talk about some of the warnings from the original video, so be careful.

-Okay when I first watched the video, in the into sequence bit, I thought that was Virgil because of the bags under his eyes. But nope. Tired Boi

-Either way him just falling on the floor is a mood.

-Virgil's expression when he pops up. It's Honestly a little scary.

-Roman rose up without any one summoning him, so was Thomas subconsciously summoning him to come up with something else to talk/think about?

-Patton, my baby, you're trying so hard-

-"Secret Secrets are no fun, tell me now or else we're done!"

-"Moody B. Moans" = Junie B. Jones

-"So I'm acting fishy! So sushi!- I mean sue me!"

-Virgil: "I'm gonna prohibit your breathing if you keep this up!" Whoa, Virgil, calm down please-

I mean, he could probably affect the other's sides breathing, cause ya know, anxiety/panic attacks make you hyperventilate if you don't take deeper breaths... So who knows, he might be able to hold up that threat.

-The sound of the sides talking being muffled was Peak Sound Editing. Cause I honestly thought there was something wrong with my laptop

-"Have you ever imagined killing your brother?" Oh, hello there. Fitting that the only side with a brother would be saying that-

-HANDS

-HE"S SO DAMN CREEPY

-Patton notices him first, and sounds genuinely terrified. Virgil notices him then, and at the end of his sentence his voice goes distorted.

-Logan's reaction is just so so monotone. He's probably used to this guy showing up.

-HIS MUSIC, IDK WHAT IT IS BUT THE VERY START THOSE LIKE JAGGED SOUNDING CHORDS (6:44)

-THE EDITING IS SOOOO GOOD FOR THE SONG like seriously

-"Thomas, speaking of honesty, recently a snake offered me a morsel from the tree of knowledge." More Religious imagery.

-"You're wanting to be more honest and direct dealing with your issues? No longer will you deceive yourself about the ugliness within you."

Okay, so this part. This part makes me think a lot. To me, this is Deceit snapping after the events of SvS. Thomas was so adamant about not lying, about being a good person. That he rejected everything Deceit said mostly because of what Deceit represented. Why would you listen to someone literally called Deceit??? But, Deceit was actually trying to get Thomas to Stop lying to himself. To admit that he wanted to go to the call back more than the wedding.

But, Patton entirely convinced him otherwise. And since Thomas trusts Patton, and is more familiar with him. He obviously sided with him. Causing Deceit's frustrations.

So what I think it is, is that, Deceit was the one hiding all of the dark side's, so when he got frustrated and Thomas refused to listen to him. He decided "Fuck it." and Stopped hiding them. "If you wanna be honest, go ahead. Here." Basically. He was done, and since his tactics weren't working. He tried to see if someone else would get through to him. Someone much more blunt than even he is.

And well, it kind of worked.

-"Juicy butthole?"

"Less okay."

-"Okay, let me stop you right there, Jeffery Dahmer was not CREATIVE, he was DESTRUCTIVE. And I'll thank you to never bring him up again."

I think this is like, the first thing we see of Thomas getting genuinely annoyed/frustrated/mad at one of the sides. For obviously a good reason, it's just so rare that we see him act that way.

-"Lot of good that did him! :)))"

"It didn't do him any good."

"Yeah. *stutters* Right."

A confused stink man

-"Hold on to my ears? Done and Done! :)))"

Patton: "You put those back on right now mister!"

The Duke: "I can't hear you :DDD"

Dark sides are smart asses apparently, cause also back to SvS

P: You wouldn't know anything about words would you mister?

D: I don't get what you mean

P: Giving your word is whe-

D: What?! I can't hear you I don't know anything about words!!"

-"Golden girl in a condominium."

Nailed it.

-Can I mention, Logan going on and lecturing is,,, awesome??? I just??? Love my boi??? So much???

-"then why are you lying?" (13:41)

Hngh, Virgil sounds,,,, so upset. Because he thinks Logan, his friend, is siding with The Duke. Is going behind his back and lying to Thomas. He's so worried about this, that he's more likely to accuse LOGIC of lying than to actually think he's telling the truth.

-Welcome back to Reasons why I love Joan.

Number 78. They're joan, and Thomas says that using a prop dismembered arm to flip someone off is perfectly in character for them. Perfect.

-Garbage Boi Dance

-"Roman and I, are Cain and Abel"

Hhaahahhahahahahaha.

Cain was the first murderer by Biblical standards, and murdered his brother Abel.

The Duke literally clocked Roman (His brother) over the head, as if to kill him.

Clever, Duke.

-First time Thomas ever explicitly says he hates a side. He didn't even say he hated Deceit. But then again, The Duke is,,, way worse than Deceit.

-The Duke and Roman love to say Bitch apparently.

-"Not all thoughts have some profound meaning behind them, some are worthless."

Why can I only think of that when it comes to like, panic/anxiety attacks coming from Virgil.

Like, I obviously get what he means, but I think he thinks that way because of his own thoughts, too.

-"Yeah, he can ACT like a good person, just like, Deceit can act like you."

That line stuck with me. I don't know why. Someone help, just that line sticks out to me for some reason.

-"Shut your mouth or I'll tear off your nipples and shove them up your nose."

Logan doesn't even look, startled.

-Logan talking about mental connections is,,, big mood.

Whenever I'm coming up with ideas for things, it's probably because of a song. How this happens is because I am wanting to write sanders sides/oc things. Then listening to music as I do so. So the brain makes a connection between the two.

It's probably a lot easier to connect things in the context that was brought up too. That's happened to me as well, trying to dissuade negative thoughts and think of something else, that ends up turning whatever I was thinking about into corrupted too.

To me though, it's just more annoying at this point.

-"You Bastard!"

-"OOOH How fun! You know who could help us with that" *Shoulder shimmy as Deceit's theme plays*

The Duke wants to see his snake boyfriend apparently-

L: Virgil! Enough.

TD: Ugh, here we go Virgil. It looks like Logan has reached his Listening-To-Others limit for the day.

L: This is not about me wanting to be listened to. You all are not listening to Thomas. What he's saying is worth noting.

V: But what if he's lyIng.

L: I can assure you he's not, you're just para-!... Expressing an unhealthy amount of concern. Thank you, for being on-guard. But for now, you must listen.

-"The duke was right"

Cut to the Duke picking his nose, "What?"

-"Uh-uh-uh-uh. I said, figuratively. And that is why I say it. THAT-IS-WHY-I-SAY-IT"

Logan, love him,,, so much. Can I add this to the badass counter?

Okay, listen. I know back when Virgil was introduced, he was originally planned to be a one off character and Remus and Deceit didn't even exist yet. But, I think this bit was a call back.

Back in Taking On ANXIETY. At the very end when Thomas takes Lily's tips, and takes a deep breath. Virgil literally stumbles back a bit and is no longer as composed as before.

Remus acting and most likely feeling like he's getting punched here? Is probably similar to how Virgil felt then. They're literally taking them down in that scenario.

-"Oh shut up Nerdy wolverine!"

Roman: How about you shut up!

-Logan immediately comes back from getting hit in the face by a throwing star/ninja star/shuriken. With seemingly no break in his stride.

(Ironically as I was writing that out I got some random intrusive thoughts that would be fun to write into a fic so :). Granted it's four in the morning, so that may not happen lmao)

-"I acted like a real... B-Hole..."

Poor patton :(

But yeah you kinda did-

-L: Well, how are you doing right now?

T: I don't know!... I'm fine...

L: Virgil, how's he doing?

V: He recently realized, he's a bigger liar than he thought he was, he doesn't understand himself, he's committed to skipping a big call back and he's sleep deprived... So yeah, he feels like a piece of dirt who has no control over his life.

Okay, I wanna say this.

I'm,,, very happy that this line was included. Not just for the fact that it's kind of funny the way

Virgil spouts it out, but because of the canonization of the timeline.

Joan said that SvS is technically a two parter, but they did not wanna label it that because the next one (i.e Dealing with Intrusive Thoughts) was not a direct follow up. The one after this one however, will be.

This line shows that while we got this Video wayyy past April 13th. In the Canon timeline. April 13th has still yet to pass. As Virgil says he's "Committed to", not "He missed a big call back", not "He went to a wedding he didn't want to go to", nothing like that. Committed too. Speaking in the present tense. Not in the past.

-"When are you actually going to jump out of a moving car? I've been bringing it up for years. Still nothing."

Ayyyy my Remus does the same shit. Every Time-

-Logan saying "Everything is okay."

HNGH I/ NEED THAT AUDIO CLIP DOWNLOADED. PLEASE

-"I didn't realize... What an impossible standard I've been setting."

This line is sooooo important. It shows growth from Patton, a bit, but at least it's growth. It shows that Patton has finally come to terms with what he's doing. And how it has and will affect Thomas if he were to continue on in such a way. This is probably why Remus showed up in the first place, he can't just be ignored like Deceit can. He was the one who forced Patton to realize this.

I... Have many thoughts to say... But I don't know how to properly describe them without repeating things over and over.

His expressions. Just rewatch that scene and focus on both of their expressions.
