Okay so quick a/n Im really sorry for not updating for a long time I have no excuse but I'll be getting more on track I promise. And also this one is going to be very depressing because I'm in that mood but if you don't want to read it, don't. It's lyrically based off of stay together for the kids by blink 182.

It's hard to wake up
When the shades have been pulled shut
This house is haunted
It's so pathetic
It makes no sense at all

Virgil was sick of this. He couldn't stand the fighting. His heart ached at what he was about to do. It was what was best. He needed a way out. He couldn't handle it anymore.

I'm ripe with things to say
The words rot and fall away
What stupid poem could fix this home
I'd read it everyday

Virgil took one more look in the mirror and nodded at himself. He could do this. He knew exactly what he was going to say to Logan. After seven years of marriage, divorce isn't easy. He only realised this as he walked into their room and saw his husband's face. He forgot everything as he watched the tears fall. They both knew it was coming.

So here's your holiday
Hope you enjoy it this time
You gave it all away
It was mine
So when your dead and gone
Will you remember this night
Twenty years now lost
It's not right.

He fell to the floor with his head in his hands. He couldn't do this. Hee had to. He couldn't stand the way they always fought but he couldn't stand the pain of just the thought of them ending. As Virgil fell to the ground, Logan ran to his husband hugging him and crying along as he knew it was better to end it.

They're anger hurts my ears
Been running strong for seven years
Rather than fix the problem
They never sole them
It makes no sense at all.

They just sat there in that spot on the floor and hugged and cried. They both wanted the divorce. They can never agree on anything and neither of them were completely sure they even agreed on this.

I see them everyday
We get along, so why can't they?
If this is what he wants
And it's what she wants
Then why is there so much pain?

They both wanted to get out and they didn't understand why it hurt so much. Tears were making a puddle around them now as Virgil burrowed his face in Logans neck and Logan cried harder. Virgil cried harder. Everything was falling apart and they were condoning it.

Logan couldn't do this. Virgil  couldn't do this. Their children stood in the door. Them not seeing the same thing that the parents were. The children were the ones that saw what was really happening. They saw Virgil yell and Logan punched a wall. Virgil yelled louder and Logan saw the children in the door way and instantly calmed down and virgil did the same.

The children ran to the eldest room as the oldest child and middle girl hugged their younger sister as she sobbed in her arms.

Upstairs they heard Logan yell a little louder

They huddled closer to one another

It's not right.

And at that's moment they knew, they were all they had.

Okay so I'm sorry for this depressing bit but I just needed to vent what's been going on and it's kinda like this but I didn't want to make Logan as abusive as my dad was so I left that part out. Sorry for the sadness and sorry for the rant. Next chapter will be better and uploaded tomorrow.
