36| Locked Up, They Won't Let Me Out

KAZENOSUKE

Kerazin and Destiny had never hyperventilated so much in their entire life.

No, seriously.

They hadn't.

They had just escaped the thugs on the street now however they had to leave Calista and Trevor behind because they were dead now, and they also had to leave Kerazin's car & their phones behind as well.

They had entered some sort of forest now, but they had entered deep into the forest in case they had gotten caught if they weren't deep in it.

Forget sprint.

That was an entire marathon, and now both of them were simultaneously placing both of their hands on their knees as they had hyperventilated together.

"You OK?"

"Yeah, you?"

Destiny nodded.

Before asking Kerazin what they were going to do now, what with their phones being taken away from them and everything.

Although to be honest?

If they didn't have their phones on them anyway, would they really have had service in a forest?

No.

No they wouldn't.

"Kerazin, what happens to us now?"

"We're done for, sis," he had admitted to her, which was just the harsh reality of things. "There's absolutely no way that we're going to find Kazenosuke on time now, and we can't even call for support or anything because our phones have been taken away from us- both of us."

They couldn't even have walked out of the forest either, because the place they were in right now was mad dangerous right now, and both of them knew it.

And didn't need telling twice.

OK, so they knew this:

The police had arrested the thugs.

But there were like twenty of them and only about five policemen so them arresting all of them would have kinda been crazy unsuccessful.

The policemen could have even ended up dead, with the thugs still pretty much trying to find Kerazin and Destiny.

Which was actually happening right now, but more on that later.

Destiny had had an idea, which was to find somewhere to hide really whilst they had figured out what their next plan of action was going to be.

Kerazin had agreed to that immensely, although just then, he had heard someone call their names.

Kerazin and Destiny, I know you're in here, I saw you come in here...

So come out, come out wherever you are, 'cause we ain't done wit' you yet.

"Crud!" Kerazin had cursed to himself, before turning to face Destiny again. "Did you hear that just now, Destiny?"

"Of course I heard that, K!" Destiny had whisper hollered back. "So what do we do now?"

They hid.

That was what.

Anything else and they might have died.

Kerazin had told her to get down by literally saying that as well as pulling her hand so low that it had automatically brought her down.

And honestly, if Kerazin had pulled her hand any lower, then it would have probably come off for good.

Both of them were right behind a bush at the moment, where another black thug with a black hoodie as well as tracksuit were looking for them.

You know...

We shot Calista & Trevor, so it finna be you two next...

Kerazin and Destiny were kind of internally panicking now, roaming around through the forest like a thief in the night.

That was when Destiny had then realised that there were two of them instead of one, before telling Kerazin this really loudly, with him kindly telling her to shut up.

Did you hear something, Katsuro?

I think so, Diamanté. They be in here. I search left, and you search right.

Seemed as though the dark skinned thug (who was a girl apparently) was now accompanied by an Asian thug.

They were now roaming around the forest as if their life had depended on it all of a sudden, with Kerazin and Destiny just moving around the place discreetly anytime they had realised that the thugs were close to them.

Or even worse?

Right in front of them.

Both Kerazin and Destiny had watched it when both of the thugs had met together again, with both of them also being really unsuccessful in finding Kerazin and Destiny.

Any luck, Diamanté?

No, you?

Katsuro stared at her as if she was crazy.

If I was lucky in finding them, then I wouldn't have asked you that, would I? Goodness gracious, girl. Use common sense.

Unfortunately for both Kerazin and Destiny though, Kerazin had accidentally sneezed really loudly, which had completely blown both of their covers.

Katsuro and Diamanté didn't know where they were, no.

But they had heard someone sneeze.

Which had gotten them crazy suspicious.

"What the hell, Kerazin?"

"Sorry," he apologised. "Too much grass makes me sneeze."

So hay-fever, basically.

That was what it was.

Katsuro and Diamanté had kept on debating with themselves on whether they had heard a noise or not... with both of them agreeing for Diamanté to start shooting the forest with her gun like crazy.

Whilst this was happening, because they seriously didn't want to risk anything, once again both Kerazin and Destiny had wandered frantically around the forest...

Diamanté had seen them, although when she was about to shoot them, they had ducked out of the way just in time and she had shot the tree instead.

What's wrong with you, Diamanté? both Kerazin and Destiny had heard Katsuro shout. You had one job! How could you mess that all up? Now the gun's completely out of bullets because of you!

I'm sorry, I saw them earlier! She argued. Both of them had moved out the way when I was literally just about to shoot them. And this was your fault too, you didn't have to tell me to shoot the forest like that.

You know, you didn't have to agree with me!

It was true, she didn't.

But she had still done so anyway because Katsuro was four years older than her (he was twenty) and she was always told to respect her elders no matter the situation.

Unless she was being bullied or something bad, then that was different.

By far.

You should have brought more bullets!

And what about you, huh? You ain't so perfect either, dammit!

I never said I was, in fact, no one is so stop putting words into my mouth, you helpless freak!

Whilst Katsuro and Diamanté were once again arguing with each other, this was the perfect time for both Kerazin and Destiny to make the most of that.

Because Destiny had a seriously good eye when it came to things, she had therefore seen a small house in the far distance, beckoning Kerazin to come over there.

It was literally the only thing that they could have done right now so Kerazin had agreed to her.

As they had seen both Katsuro and Diamanté coming their way (still kinda arguing with each other), they had then hid at the back of the house, but when the two of them had left for good, they had gone to the front of the house instead.

For some reason, they couldn't really have decided on who should have knocked on the door, although it really wasn't that deep.

Kerazin wanted Destiny to knock because she was literally the person that had brought them there in the first place, but Destiny wanted Kerazin to knock instead because despite her bringing them there.

He was the closest to the door.

And he was taller as well.

"You knock." Destiny.

"No, you knock." Kerazin.

"No, you knock." Destiny again.

"No you- oh, for goodness sake, I'll do it. We don't have much time left and Kazenosuke is still in danger."

Saying that, Destiny had then moved out of the way for Kerazin to knock on the door, which no one had replied to for a minute..

Making both of them suspicious.

Kind worried too.

But suspicious even more.

"Maybe no one's inside."

"Nah, someone's inside, I saw them," Kerazin told her, and funnily enough, that was when an elderly light skinned woman had opened the door, before asking both of them what they might have wanted.

She was wearing pyjamas, and no one knew why she was doing that because it was like eleven in the morning.

Either way, her pyjamas were light blue with dark pink stars all over it, and she didn't seem very happy that they were here, at all.

So Destiny had explained everything.

Her boyfriend had ran away and they were trying to look for him, but silly Kerazin here had gotten them lost and they had ended up one some road full of thugs.

There were initially four of them, but two of them had tragically died along the way, with both Kerazin & Destiny being the only two people left that had survived.

They had been in the forest for quite some time now, trying to hide away from these two thugs called Katsuro and Diamanté, which they had successfully done...

Then Destiny had seen her house in the far distance, and that was how they ended up in this terrible terrible situation.

Sadly, the woman, whose name was Susannah now apparently (due to the scarf with seemingly her name on it and everything) had just laughed very hard at them, because she had genuinely thought that both of them had made this up, even though they didn't.

Kerazin was extremely impatient at this, but Destiny being even more impatient with this as she had to explain everything to her, which took forever.

"You think we're lying about this?" Kerazin asked annoyingly.

"I don't even know what I think anymore."

What was that supposed to mean?

After some thoughtful consideration though, Susannah had then let them inside, because they had seemed harmless and she was a nice person...

Or so they thought.

Now normally, neither Kerazin or Destiny would have gone into a stranger's house but they were desperate and they needed somewhere to stay whilst they had thought about their next plan of action.

The house was OK, a bit dirty but still OK, and it had turned out that Susannah had lived with her husband Antonio but no children at all- they were all in university but one was dead.

They had fallen down the stairs and they had broken their neck.

Susannah and Antonio had kindly offered Kerazin and Destiny some tea and biscuits, which they had refused because they could have been anywhere at all.

Although Susannah and Antonio must have absolutely hated this or something.

Because when Destiny and Kerazin had tried to leave.

They seriously wouldn't let them.
