Peace & Totality

I come back to my senses, feeling extreme pain all over my body. I'm in a bed, with ice all over me.
"Sam." Dean yells while looking the other way.
I try to sit up and the bags of ice fall off me, leaving drops of water from the melted pieces.
I look down at my arms and see the bruises all over me.
"The book. Do we have the book?" I grab Dean to try to stand up.
"Easy, tiger." He helps me stand.
"Dean, do we have the book?" I am standing and looking up at him. My head is level just below his shoulders. "Yes, we have the book. I'm proud of you, kid."
"Fantastic. Let's get to work." I stumble away from him and he comes from behind me to help me get out of the room. He places his hands around my waist as I'm about to fall. I'm just so sore but all the hits I took were really mostly my hands and arms. There were a few on my ribs, but it shouldn't hurt this badly.
I see Sam coming my way and he takes over for Dean, guiding me to a chair. The book lays, in all its glory, on the table in front of me.
I don't see Alphonse or Roweena. "Where did they go?" I look around.
"They left to give us some time to process everything." Sam gently moves my hair from my face and tucks it behind my ear.
"We did it you guys!" I grab the book and flip to the first page. Blank.
I flip through the book, each flip more aggressive than the last. I hear that witches laughter ringing in my head. I desperately look for any sign of ink in the book and I get nothing. I slam the cover closed and stand up.
  "What the fuck is this?"
"Elizabeth, we don't know. We have spent the last few hours trying to figure it out. The cover is correct, but the pages are blank."
"No, no, no. You're telling me I spent the better half of an hour being beaten and told stupid prophecies about how there's no joy without pain and all that shit just to be handed a blank book at the end?" I lift my shirt to show them the place she struck me on my ribs.
"Look at this. Look at it!"
Sam comes close to me and gently pulls my shirt back down. "I think you just need to rest. The fight isn't over yet. There are other options."
"Rest? You're kidding. I'm going for a walk. Do not follow me. I will be back." I push past them and yank the book up on my way out.
"Elizabeth." I hear Sam's voice from behind me.
I turn around to see what he could possibly have to say to me right now.
"Please be safe." I don't acknowledge him. I just roll my eyes and continue towards the door.
Outside, I decide to walk to my special field. The air is cold today, just above freezing. The Kansas winter is almost here. Still, the field seems to be thriving. The moon offers no warmth but it is beautiful tonight.
I gently sit down in the grass, being careful not to hurt my sore body. I put the book in front of me. It amazes me how the moon is shining so brightly that it illuminates everything around me; I don't need a flashlight at all, nor do I need to worry about seeing anything. It's a clear sky, perfectly lit.
I open the book, feeling puzzled by it, but not discouraged.
I run my fingers across the page horizontally. I don't believe my eyes as text appears on the page. It's a sort of dark, runny, ink. The text is in cursive and quite beautiful.
What is your deepest desire? The text keeps appearing as I run my hand along the page, left to right.
Is it love?
Peace?
Totality?
Baphomet.
Well, that's quite an introduction.
Centuries old and draped as a feminine figured goat, Baphomet represents the duality and beauty of humanity.
You want peace. You need totality. I will give it to you. Same time tomorrow?
I fumble around in my pockets to check what time it is. It's 8:15.
"Yes. Same time tomorrow!" I hope the book can hear me or something. It seems like it knows what I want and what I need. I wait for more text to appear but it doesn't. I close the book and tuck it in my jacket. I stand slowly, feeling the effects of that damn hammer. It takes me a while to get off the ground but when I do I see lightning just ahead of me, followed by thunder. I start heading out of the field when the rain comes pouring down.
I feel a sense that I haven't felt in a while. I feel like everything is going to be alright, like there's hope. I spin around in the rain, laughing at the happiness I feel. The worst may be ahead, but that's not right now. I'll be ready for it. I feel my clothes begin to get heavier, becoming drenched with the rain as I walk home. I have this stupid smile on my face that I can't get rid of. My hair begins to stick to my face a bit in the rain. When I get back, I am careful not to slip on the stairs. Sam and Dean are having a couple beers as I shiver.
"Guys!" I put the book in front of them, with my wet hands. Despite my wetness, it's completely dry.
"Look!" I open it and I have their full attention. They read the text that's there and look at me.
"I need a shower. I'm freezing." I leave the book with them and excitedly skip down the hall.
In the shower, I turn the water as hot as I can handle it. I feel it falling down my back, warming me up with each second. I do feel calmer, but I'm not sure how long it'll last. The water hurts as it falls on my bruises. I turn the water off and step out of the shower. I wipe the condensation from the mirror in front of me and stare at myself. This tiny body is going to take down a centuries old goat woman.
I realize I forgot to grab clothes before my shower. I open the bathroom door, in my towel, carefully looking for Sam or Dean so that they don't see me. The coast is clear. I exit the bathroom and see Sam rounding the corner at the exact time. He's holding a beer, seemingly on the way to the bathroom.
"Shit. Sorry!" I dart to the room as he shields his eyes to be polite. I quickly get dressed and deal with the embarrassment of the situation. I swallow my pride and join them in the main area.
"Could I have a beer? I feel kinda left out."
"Yeah. Go for it." I sit down with them and I start by saying how grateful I am for them. I'm not sure what's going on with me today, but I feel happy.
"Thank you both. For everything. I wouldn't have made it without you. Thank you for keeping your promise to my dad."
"You're welcome, kid." Dean taps his beer against mine and we drink.
I stand up and hug them both which is unexpected. What's even more unexpected is that they hug me back.
"My dad used to eat moon pies with me after a hunt. It was kind of our tradition." I share this with them in the hopes that I can spark a conversation.
"Really? I love moon pies." Dean chimes in and shares a story with me too.
"Dad would never let Sammy hunt because he was younger than I was. One night, I pretended to be asleep. No matter how much he tried to wake me up, I wouldn't give it up. He ended up taking Sammy on his first hunt that night."
"You never told me that" Sam sounds a bit surprised.
"That's awesome." I say while taking a sip.
We spend hours laughing and recalling memories. They let their guard down and it's nice.
