All Aboard the kill Baphomet train
There's a memory I have. Dad and I went to this arcade place for the night, to celebrate my birthday. There were these light up tiles on the floor. They started off white, but you could pay to have them light up when you touch them. Dad put this song on the radio, paying $5 to use the jukebox. I wanna know. Have you ever seen the rain? 🎶 I can hear the rain falling outside as we dance around on the tiles. We didn't care if people were watching us. We were just unapologetically jumping to the beat of the song and laughing. He was surprisingly good at our made up game. He always was. I was so pissed that I couldn't catch on like he could. He'd tell me things come with time. Nothing worth having comes easy blah blah. The rain overtakes my memory, falling onto us inside the arcade, pounding against the roof. I feel myself being ripped from him and open my eyes. My vision is blurry at first and then I see a white ceiling above me. My entire body is sore as I shift around in the bed. I grab the side rails to try to sit myself up. I feel good though, warm and fuzzy.
I press the nurse button, my memories coming back as to what happened. I stare at the rain coming down on the window as I wait for help to come. "Oh good. You're awake." The nurse knocks before entering, as if I didn't just request for a nurse.
"Did you guys do surgery?" I move my hospital gown to the side and see a patched up spot on my abdomen.
"Yes, we did. The knife just barely missed your liver. It hit the tip of it, but luckily there wasn't extensive damage. We did a blood transfusion, but the doctor wants you to take iron supplements for a month and come back to see us. Let me check your wound."
I lay back as she lifts my gown.
"Your brothers have been in the waiting room all night. Should I tell them you're awake or do you want to be alone?" She puts her gloves on.
"How long was I out?" She peels the bandage off of my skin and I see a stitched up, Frankenstein creature looking patch of skin. Gross.
"A couple hours, honey. I hope this doesn't hurt; I gave you some IV medicine to make you feel okay. The doctor prescribed some pain meds for you too." She dresses my wound and takes her gloves off.
"No sign of infection. We'd like to keep you for four days for observation. I'll go get your brothers. They have to drive you home. The medicine I gave you requires it by law." She exits the room and I get comfortable in the bed, forgetting that Sam and Dean are here.
"Hey, guys." I greet them as they enter.
"How you holding up?" Sam asks.
"Well, I'm stitched up like a pair of jeans, so I think I'm good. Apparently I'm a lucky girl." I try to laugh but it hurts too much. My throat is sore too, my entire body. I'm so comfortable that I forgot I have nothing on but a hospital gown.
"They want to keep me for four days. You guys don't have to stick around. I can't even sit up on my own, so there's no chance I'm walking out of here sooner. Thank you for getting me here."
"Hey, one of us is staying. No way you're dying on our watch." Dean reassures me.
"Can you get the book for me?" I nearly died and I still care about that damned book.
"You still want the book after what happened?" Sam looks disappointed.
"Hell yes I do. It would be worthless to go through everything just for nothing."
"I'll get the book. Dean, you stay here with her." Sam exits.
"I'm glad you're okay, kid. I'm going to get some grub. I'll be back to check on you."
I am left alone with nothing but silence and the rain. Why did he kill the entire police station? Why didn't he make sure I was dead instead of stabbing me once? Why did he beat the hell out of me? Where is Alphonse?
Dean returns about an hour later and takes a seat next to me.
"You don't have to stay, really." I send him a halfhearted smile that the pain meds allow me to muster up.
"We need to talk. It's personal now. Baphomet went after a few hunters I know and she wanted me and Sam to get the message. She wiped out that entire police station too. She needs to be stopped." Dean is personally invested now so I have no doubt that she will be taken down with all of us on board.
"Let's stop the bitch then."
