Ruby: How You Two Get Together

As Y/N prepare for the final preparations for his plan Team RWBY were talking about the recent news.

Yang: I can't believe that classes are canceled.

Weiss: I know. It just came out of the blue.

Blake: Quite strange considering how there is no scheduled events or holidays.

Before Ruby could respond she got a message for her to come over. This message was from Y/N, and began to panic as she remembered the conversation she had with her team.

Ruby: WhatDoIDo?! WhatDoIDo?!

Yang: Ruby, you're talking too fast again.

Weiss: What is it first of all?

Ruby: It's Y/N. He's asking me to come.

Yang: You know what this means?

Ruby: That I will know if Y/N will reject me which would end our friendship?

Putting her arm around her sister, soothing her a bit she then began to prep her for what lies ahead of her.

Yang: Ruby, just relax and hear me out. This is Y/N who we're talking about here. This isn't Jaune with Weiss.

Weiss: You just had to remind me about that did you?

Blake: Good luck.

Weiss: I firmly believe it will happen so I will not wish you luck.

Ruby: Uh thanks Weiss?

Yang: Now go. Shoo.

Ruby slowly make her way to Y/N room. It is to the point that students made way past her. This was not out of nervousness but Ruby did kinda not prepare ahead of time. Making it to the door Ruby slowly opens it only to see Y/N opening an oven. Steam was coming out.

Y/N: (coughs) Ruby? Ruby! Oh you made it.

Ruby: Uhh you told me to come. Remember?

Y/N: Right I did. You made it just in time for something never done before! Well technically but no.

Ruby: Cookies you can have for breakfast?!

Y/N: What? No, I'm a baker.

Ruby: (hangs head down) Oh...

Y/N: But I think you will love this. I call it the brookie. Would you like to-

Y/N never finished his sentence as Ruby sped her way up to it and began eating it.

Y/N: That was suppose to be for our friends as well.

She slowly moved away from the brookie only to look at Y/N and swallowed the mouthful of the prices of brookie in her mouth.

Ruby: Sorry.

Y/N: I figure that you might of this so I made
a second one. Anyways what would the great Ruby, destroyer of cookies think of this?

At that exact moment Ruby has a lapse of her memory as she got confuse with what she had planned with her judgment.

Ruby: I love it like how I love you! Wait did I say the last part out loud?

Ruby thought that maybe if she stays very still that maybe Y/N won't see her. Obviously this plan didn't work.

Y/N: Ruby, Ruby that's not how vision works. I don'f even think it's true with the T-Rex.

Ruby: Uh.. so I guess the cat is out of the bag. Popcorn is a vegetable.

Y/N: What?

Ruby: I'm nervous and said something I saw. So...Yes? How do you feel?

Y/N: I love you also. In fact I had this thing planned to tell you but you kinda seemed to beat me to it hehe.

Ruby: Really?! I was going to tell you but I kinda forgot because of the brookies.

Y/N: I don't know how I should feel. On one end that means my baking is good or it kinda beats your love for me.

Ruby: I love you more. Don't you remember how we're sniper buddies?

Y/N: I'm glad I took too long on that vending machine.

As this played out Ozpin was watching as per part of the deal. He smiles to himself knowing that he just won.

Glynda: I can't believe the boundaries you would cross.

Ozpin: And you got a break out of it. Though for the life of me I wonder why you are here at the moment.

Glynda: I was simply going to ask why all the classes were canceled but it answered itself. I thank you for it.

Weiss: How You Two Got Together

Weiss was making way to a particular Thorn's room with the bonsai tree.

Weiss: (thoughts) Planty, Planty? What kind of name is Planty?

Arriving she opens the door only to see Y/N in his bed, staring at the ceiling while eating one of his muffins.

Y/N: Hello Snow Angel.

Weiss: Hi but what are you doing?

Y/N: Dunno.

Weiss: (sighs) Shouldn't have asked.

Y/N: Wait are you returning Planty? Do you not like it? I heard you wanted to liven up the room and I spent a lot of time on this.

Weiss: What, no. Y/N, I would like to thank you for the gift, but Planty is not going to cut it.

Y/N: Oh... Planty Jr?

Weiss: No.

Y/N: What about Mr. Plant?

Weiss: No. It needs to be more refined.

Y/N: Refined, got it. Duke of Plant.

Weiss: Thorn, stop it with the plant related names!

Y/N: Okay, okay.

Weiss and Y/N began to brainstorm names for quite some time. An hour into it the two finally settled on a name.

Y/N: Your last name means snow right?

Weiss: Yes.

Y/N: We could have a name that has a literal meaning to it.

Weiss: I get where you're going. Kleine does mean small so.

Y/N: And pflanze means plant so we should name it Kleine Pflanze. Basically small plant.

Weiss: I like it.

With that done Weiss was unsure on what to do as her justification for being there was in renaming the plant. Truthfully Weiss thought on what Blake said and try it. Though she had a hard time in doing it as she never had to do this before. Usually it is the opposite.

Weiss knew that she had to do it. She decided to go against all of her instincts, confiding her feeling for Y/N to her teammates. She quickly realized Blake was right given on how Yang's response was. Ruby was okay with it, but after all the drama she learned one thing. That Y/N wasn't exactly good in expressing his feelings. It was something all three experienced but he took it differently apparently. She never got to know what exactly was it.

Y/N: Weiss? Weiss?

Weiss: What? Oh, sorry.

Y/N: Do you need anything else?

Weiss: (thoughts) Okay, Weiss you got this. If you can deal with what life dealt you so far then you can definitely do this.

Y/N was staring at Weiss as she blanked out on him again. He did not mind this as it did give him the chance to look at Weiss without her knowing.

Weiss: Y/N.

Y/N: Yeah?

Weiss: Why did you get me the bonsai tree?

Y/N: I already told you. I heard-

Weiss: No, why did you really get it?

Y/N: Uhhh you see Weiss you may not know it but I actually liked you for awhile. I heard how you dealt with Jaune so I also thought it may also show how I felt. Thought now that I think about it I don't know how the gift would show this. So what now?

Weiss: I is have something that I must admit myself. Y/N, when you gifted this bonsai tree I had an epiphany.

Y/N: What does that mean?

Weiss: You're not making this easy for me. An epiphany is like a sudden realization.

Y/N: Oh, so what was it?

Weiss: That I may also like you?

Y/N: Really?! So like like?

Weiss: Yes.

Y/N: Are you sure?

Weiss: Why are you asking me if I'm sure if you said that you also like me?!

Y/N: I don't know. I just never thought this would happen.

Weiss: Well it is. I will give you a chance and we will see how this goes.

Y/N: Sorry, still processing this.

Weiss: Starting tomorrow you got that? Bye.

Y/N: Bye Snow Angel.

Weiss: You du- You know what never mind seeing as how we're dating now.

Y/N: Good luck with my sisters.

Weiss: Don't remind me. Wait just a minute. This also means you as well.

Y/N: Well I guess we'll be doing it together.

Weiss: Together. Tomorrow it is then.
