Rosepaw woke the next day to the loud chirping of birds.

She yawned and padded out, stretching in the process.

"Rosepaw!" Risingstar called.

Rosepaw turned to the tall silver she-cat.

"Since Fallensnow is with Berrysplash, I'll train you for today." She said.

Rosepaw nodded, "Okay."

The two she-cats padded out of camp and into the deep forest.

"I'll show you how to hunt today." Risingstar said.

Risingstar got into a hunters crouch, waiting for Rosepaw to copy.

She got into the same stance and leaped forward as Risingstar told her to do. She landed sloppily, but did pretty well.

Risingstar nodded, "Try and use your tail for balance."

Rosepaw nodded and jumped again, better than she had done last time. She smirked and went off into the woods to try hunting, leaving Risingstar staring after her.

She crouched down as she saw a large mouse at the base of a leafless oak tree.

She was about to pounce when a large leaf fell to the ground, scaring it away.

"Mouse dung!" She hissed through clenched teeth.

Rosepaw continued along the orange, red, and yellow covered forest in search of prey.

She soon picked up the scent of a squirrel and followed it, making sure to stay as quiet as possible as she padded through the leaves.

Rosepaw saw the squirrel happily bouncing around, nibbling on random acorns.

She smirked and got into a hunters crouch, before the squirrel's head suddenly darted up and it slowly bounced away.

Rosepaw angrily growled and raced after it, causing the squirrel to bolt up a tree.

Without hesitation, Rosepaw sprung up the tree skillfully, as if she had done it many times over.

By the time she had almost reached the top of the tree, she had quickly killed it and thanked StarClan for it's life.

"Rosepaw!" Risingstar's voice called.

"I'm up here!" Rosepaw responded as Risingstar looked up into the tree.

"How in the name of StarClan did you get up there." She said wide-eyed.

"Uhh.. I honestly don't know... I was chasing a squirrel and it went up the tree and I followed it and... I'm up here now!" Rosepaw smiled.

Risingstar's eye seemed to twitch as Rosepaw hopped down from the tree with the squirrel and continued hunting.
