/-+* Grian's POV *+-\
I gulped as I arrived at the front doors and looked up. So this is the place...
It was a massive building, you could even call it a mansion. Actually, I think it is literally a mansion. It has big front gates, the garden looks very well taken care of, and I could even see a big treehouse in the backyard.
The Hermits' Estate... At least that's what the building is named, and according to what I know, the people that live here are called the hermits, a group of friends that take care of the house and such. I honestly don't know how I went from moving to a new job, to moving into a new house that has more than 20 people who live in it.
So the story is, I'm Grian, and I used to live in another city, and I used to have a friend group called the Evolutionists, and we all ran a company named EVO.
I used to be the Owner of the company, but skip to the present, I left the company because I didn't think the job suited me anymore. So days ago, I gave up my ownership and told the others to handle it without me, and they understood. I'm a bit worried about what is going to happen to the company, but I'm sure they'll be fine.
So then, I started looking for another job, and I was interested in an architecture job, but the nearest place is in another city pretty far away from where I lived.
Well, before I left the company, I told my friend, Mumbo, that I was looking for a new job and interested in becoming an architect. And when I told him about the nearest building job in a different city, he told me that he and his group actually live in this city, and that if I'm interested, his group's place has a spare room. All he needed to do is ask for this guy, who I think is named X-I-Sumavo- XisumaVoid, if I could move in. I accepted the request, and now here I am. Of course, there's no turning back now.
I inspected the building, and thought about it one more time if this was worth it or not. And then, I started sighing and walked steps closer to the front door. I then rang the doorbell.
I waited a few seconds, and the door opened. The person that opened it was this guy wearing this helmet and in green armor.
"Oh, hello there. I assume you must be Grian?" He asked me politely.
"Yes," I replied, "and I assume you're XisumaVoid, the owner of the place?"
Xisuma nodded, "yep, that's me," he said. "you're Mumbo's friend that's moving in, right? Mumbo told us a lot about you, welcome to the family." he then stepped aside. "You may come inside, It's getting pretty late."
"Thank you." I replied shortly before walking in after him.
As expected, the interior was as big as the exterior suggested. Taking one look at the inside of the place, the first impression you'd get is that it's chaotic.
There's an armchair and some seats in the far corner of the room, and there was a spam of torches around, along with a lantern near the hallway. There was a carpet that was colored silver and yellow in the middle of the room, as well as some random cabinets in the sides of the room. And as I previously stated, the room was pretty massive.
"Woah..." I muttered.
"Yeah, that's a normal reaction for newcomers." Xisuma chuckled. "Our furniture choices are pretty chaotic. You can thank the others for it."
"You have no right to say that, X." someone sighed from the other side of the room. "Just this month you suggested we should build a room just for breeding turtles."
A brown haired girl wearing a pink jacket had walked into the room, and was looking at us from the other side of the room.
"Hello, Stress." Xisuma greeted her. He then turned back to me, "Grian, this is Stress.". He then turned back to Stress, "Stress, this is Grian."
"So you're Mumbo's friend?" Stress said to me as she walked over to us. "Pleasure to meet you, as Xisuma said, I'm Stress."
"I'm Grian, nice to meet you too." I replied, feeling half-awkward. I always felt a little awkward when meeting new people. Especially since in this situation, I was going to live with these people. I'd be lucky if all of my introductions go this smooth... I thought to myself.
Xisuma turned to her, "Stress, can you show Grian where he'll be staying? I have to go talk with Joe about something."
"Sure thing, X." Stress nodded. "And remember to not overwork yourself."
Xisuma nodded briefly, and then turned back to me, "Grian, you go with Stress, alright? I have to go now."
I nodded, and shortly after, Xisuma left the room. Stress then turned to me, "Alright, we should get going now." She said. "this way, if you please."
"Okay." I said, lifting my briefcases back up.
"Do you need help with those?" Stress asked.
"No, I'll be fine." I stated. She nodded, and started walking, me walking behind.
We then walked to the hallway, which was pretty spacious. The walls were painted in greyish red. It wasn't that decorated, but there are a few cabinets, shelfs, and a lot of torches.
After that, we turned to the stairs, and started going up.
"Would you like to know more about the house, Grian?" Stress asked from in front of me.
"Sure." I responded.
"This mansion is a three-story building, it also has a pretty spacious attic and a 2-floored basement." She stated.
"It sounds big." I commented.
"It's very big and spacious." She confirmed. "You've probably also caught a glimpse of our garden. That's also pretty big. Oh, this way, we need to go up another stairway." She said as we reached the second floor, and went to the next stairs. "Anyways, continuing, the garden is very big, and it even has a treehouse, if you didn't know."
"I did see it from outside." I said.
"Yeah, it is pretty hard to not notice." Stress hummed. "It used to just be a regular, giant, tree. But then the NhO gang decided to make it into a treehouse a year ago."
"Who's the NhO?" I asked.
"Oh, that's a group that was created by Doc, Etho, Beef, and Bdubs last year. They're just all good friends." She explained. "But sadly, all three except Doc isn't here at this current time."
We've now reached the third floor, and are now walking in the hallways, "Really? Why?" I asked again.
"They had important business to do in other cities and towns, and so they moved away for now." Stress stated. "They said they'll come back someday, but they'll probably be gone for at least a few more months."
Finally, she stopped in front of a door, and turned back to me, "Alright, this is your room, Grian.".
"Thanks, Stress." I nodded.
"No Problem, luv." Stress smiled. "I'll go now, unless you need help with anything?"
"No, I'll just unpack my things for now. Thanks for asking." I said, opening the door.
"Right, get some rest after that." Stress said. "Also, Go to the living room at 8 o' clock tomorrow, okay? You're going to introduce yourself to everyone else."
"Oh, alright." I gulped just thinking about it. "Thanks for the help today, Stress."
"Any time!" Stress smiled once again. "Good night, Grian."
"Good night, Stress." I replied as I walked into my room and closed the door behind me. As I turned around, I placed down all of my luggage and cases on the floor and began scanning the room.
It was a pretty big room in comparison to the one I had back in my town. The floor looked to be made out of wood, and the walls were painted plain grayish red.
The only furniture in the room are two plain beds on opposite sides of the room, a closet, A window with very simple curtains, and a small basic table with a table clock on top. The reason why it's empty is probably just because I just moved here, but then there's the 2 beds.
I stopped to think about why there are two beds, but then a thought just struck me. This house literally has more than 20 people living in it, and from what Stress said, a year ago, there should've been more people here than there is today, so it would make sense that some bedrooms have more than one bed. And the reason why there's another bed here is probably just because someone else used to use this room, but they left.
After a minute of overthinking, I've realized that I've just been standing in my place for more than a minute, and looking at the table clock, it's already past 9 o' clock. I quickly stopped thinking about it and started getting to work on unpacking my things.

After putting my clothes away in the closet, laying down a carpet on the floor, replacing the bedsheets and pillows, and much more, I was finally done.
Looking at the table clock again, it was just past 10 o' clock. I quickly changed my clothes, and then dived onto the bed and immediately snoozed.

I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and leaves rustling from outside the window. I decided to rise up from my sleep and opened my eyes.
At first, I didn't recognize the room I was in, before I remembered that I just moved to a new place along with 20 people that are pretty much strangers.
Groaning and still half-asleep, I tried my best to sit up on the fluffy bed. I glanced over to the table clock. 7 o' clock...
"Also, Go to the living room at 8 o' clock tomorrow, okay? You're going to introduce yourself to everyone else."
Well hell I gotta hurry if I wanna make it in time-
So I quickly stood up from bed, and wobbled over to the closet to grab my clothes. Then, I slowly opened my door, and looked out. Surprisingly enough, nobody was around. I walked to the nearest bathroom, which was right next to my room to take a quick shower.

I closed the door to my room, it was now only 30 minutes left till 8, and so I'm heading to the living room.
I walked through the hallways, and now that I'm looking around and focusing, I realize just how many doors this floor has. I reached the stairway, and went down a stair to the second floor.
"Ouch-!"
I was about to step foot in the second floor hallway, when someone who seemed to be carrying a lot of boxes, suddenly tripped in front of me and face planted into the ground, with their stack of boxes also tumbling down with him.
"Are you alright?" I asked the person.
A muffled "I'm fine!" came from the person as they tried to get back up. I walked over to them and helped them get back up, or at least tried to help them get back up.
"Thank you." the person said as he tried to stand up. They had short brown hair and a brown coat.
"Are you alright? What happened?" I asked him.
"I'm fine, I just happened to trip. I was going to carry these boxes down to the storage room, but then I just tripped." he sighed, before looking back at me. "Also, I haven't seen your face around here, so I think you must be the new guy?"
"That's correct." I nodded. "I'm Grian, nice to meet you."
"Hello, I'm Scar. Sorry for the awkward first impression." He chuckled nervously. "I've always been clumsy."
"It's fine." I said. "Do you need help carrying these boxes? What are in these anyway?"
"Oh, you mean what's in the boxes?" Scars eyes suddenly lit up. "These are inventions I made!"
"Really?" I asked, interested. "Are you an inventor or something?"
"Yes, I guess you can say that." Scar says, visibly excited to talk about it. "Me and my friend Cub run a company called ConCorp, have you heard of it? We're pretty successful!"
"I might have heard it somewhere." I said. "Also, didn't the inventions break when you fell?"
"Probably not, ConCorp items are very high quality, so it doesn't break that easily."
"...I'm not sure that's how it works, but alright." I nodded slowly. "Also, I'll help you carry these, if you don't mind. You seem like you need help."
"Really? Thanks a lot!" Scar smiled.
For the next five or ten minutes, I've been helping him pick up the things he dropped, and we then carried it all to the nearby storage room while continuing to chat.
"Grian, if I can ask, what did you move to the city for?" Scar asked.
"Oh, I wanted to have an architecture job, and the nearest one was here." I shrugged.
"You're aspiring to be an architect?" Scar asked, interested.
"Yes, it's actually my dream job." I nodded. "Before I moved here, I was working in a company where we fixed bugs and stuff."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I was the CEO of it too. But then, you could say I've gotten bored of the job, so I retired from it." I then stopped talking for a moment to place down the boxes on the shelf.
"I'm actually also a terraformer." Scar stated.
"Really?" I'm the one asking this time. "What's it like?"
"It's very fun, I assure you!" Scar said enthusiastically. "Though many people usually don't like doing it, so I do get a lot of orders sometimes."
"That sounds like a fun job." I nodded. "So you're the one that takes care of the garden, I assume?"
"Yep, I'm one of the people that takes care of it." Scar hummed. "A year ago, Etho was the main caretaker of it, but now that he's not here, me, Stress, Cleo, Doc, and Joe take care of it. I assume you;ve heard of Etho?"
"Yeah, Stress mentioned his name once." I replied. "But I really don't know anyone here." I then looked at the nearest clock, it's only 5 minutes until 8. "Oh yeah, at 8 o' clock I'm supposed to introduce myself to the others." I mumbled to Scar.
"Oh, yeah I heard." Scar nodded. "Should we go then?"
As we walked out of the room, another person appeared. "Scar, I've been looking for you!"
"Ah, Sorry Cub. I've been everywhere this morning." Scar replied, before turning to me. "By the way, Grian, this is my best friend Cub. Cub, this is the new guy, Grian."
"Oh, hello, nice to meet you." I greeted Cub, who had a beard and wore a white lab coat.
"Pleasure to meet you too, Grian." Cub nodded. "Also, aren't you supposed to be at the living room in about... 3 minutes?"
"Yeah, I was just about to head there." I replied. "But then I had to help Scar carry his items to the storage room beforehand."
"Yep, that happened." Scar commented.
"Well then, I think we should go there now. It's almost time." Cub stated.
