# 5
The boys walked out of the room frowning, except for Peter who was happy to have gotten out of having to wear a dress. The man who had hired them wordlessly escorted the boys out to the sidewalk.
"The guests should be here any moment. The Doris' are a wealthy young couple from Los Angeles. They inherited all their money and are only staying here as a back up plan to their previous plans." The man informed them.
"Why tell us so much about them?" Micky asked.
"I'd like to be their first choice next year." He warned and glared at the boys.
"I think they will love it!" Peter smiled. "It sure is a beautiful place you've got here."
"Thank you, but what is the opinion of a lowly peasant?" The man stated flatly.
"Peasants!" Davy yelled. "We make a good living and have seen many great things! I know what it is, It's because I'm short isn't it?"
"Now Davy." Mike soothed. " We're not short and he jabbed at all of us. I know he put us down but we need this job."
"Yeah, your right Mike. Plus I can't afford to start a fight."
"Ye-wait, why not?" Mike asked.
"Well I am in a dress." Davy said through a disgusted cringe.
"Oh, Yeah!" Mike chuckled.
Just then a Long black limousine pulled up. It was the longest limo The boys had ever seen. It kept going and going for about a minute or so before stopping half way and letting two young people out. After it's cargo was delivered it pulled out and left.
The young couple was clad in rich silks and diamonds. The woman held a small child. The baby was about a year old. The man held a Huge carpet bag and two regular suit cases.
"Mr. Doris!" The man smiled and clapped his hands together.
"I will require that our bags be taken up to our room immediately." Mr. Doris said as if he had not noticed The boss man.
The man looked at us and clapped his hands angrily. Micky and Mike picked up the two suitcases and left Davy with the carpet bag.
Peter scrambled to the door and held it open with a smile as the couple and the Monkees passed through. He stayed beside the door.
"Man Micky, These bags are heavy." Davy groaned on their way up to the room.
"Mine is okay." Micky shrugged.
"Yeah mine too." Mike said.
"Well, I guess you guys just stuck me with the heavy one..." He groaned perturbed.
Sorry. Just a filler to move the story along. Poor Davy.... :(
