Communication For The Disabled

Evangeline let out a sigh of relief as she set her pen down. One more read over? Yes, just make sure everything looks alright. She opened up the neatly folded paper and started reading it over again, the sloppy cursive handwriting -it wasn't that messy, but wasn't that close to neat either- greeting her vision.

"  Communication For The Disabled

As you can see, for this challenge, I chose to work on the communication for the disabled. Yes, there are many important things out there but this is just as important as well. For this, I'll be focusing on the mute, the deaf and the blind.

One way of communication for these people is sign language. A wonderful way and it helps a lot, but in some parts of the kingdom, there really aren't people to teach all of this. It's kind of sad that these opportunities are only present in the very developed areas.

I have a sibling who is deaf, and there really aren't any opportunities for her to learn the ways of communication anywhere near our home. You need to travel for hours and there or only about two or three places where you get this opportunity in our province. Yes, our province really isn't the most developed or the most rich one... but I believe the people deserve the same treatments.

My ideas are very minimal and simple, and I'll be honest, I barely know anything about how all these things work.

First of all, I suggest that the scribes/ the people who teach different types of communications for them, spread a bit more around the kingdom. Right now, they are only available in some provinces. Or maybe even accept the disabled people into classes even if they aren't in the upper-class level.

Maybe even start a school for these people because education truly isn't easy when you can't communicate. This will even offer more job opportunities for people in the kingdom and of course, give everyone the feeling that they are all the same.

You may not find this very important in today's world, but to some people, communication is a true gift.

I thank you with all my heart for taking your time to read this,

Sincerely,

Evangeline Walters. "
