Style

"Genos, are you okay?" You asked as you drank your hot chocolate from across the table.

"Yes, why do you ask?"

"I didn't think you were self conscious but you do realize you've been tugging at your hair for the past 30 minutes, right?"

"Oh." The cyborg subtracted his hand from hair and laid flat on the table. He didn't notice he was doing that.

"So what's wrong? Something up with your hair?" You questioned.

"I've been wondering....is my hair too long?" He asked with those large golden puppy eyes. You pushed back the flutter in your heart and focused back on his question.

It was definitely strange hearing Genos talking about appearance. He didn't seem like the type to care about looks. He hardly ever glanced your way even when you decided to put on a bit of make-up. Honestly, it was frustrating living with the guy you liked and he never laid eyes on you.

"Your hair's fine. Why are you so worried about it?" You replied kindly.

"Dr. Kuseno made a comment today that caught my attention."

You raised an eyebrow. "And that was?"

"He said cutting my hair might increase my performance as it impairs my vision during battle. However, he hasn't had time to enact on the idea," Genos said, unconsciously going back to touching his hair.

You opened your mouth to suggest he go to a salon when a better thought came to your head. "Hey! I could cut it for you!" You smiled brightly, practically jumping out of your seat.

Genos blinked. "You know how?"

"I took an elective class in high school. I know a bit of the beautician ways."

The corner of the cyborg's mouth twitched into a small smile. "That would be much appreciated."

"Sure thing! But it'd be smarter if we did it now since I'm not sure Saitama would like us making a mess." You glanced at your watch to count the minutes. "He said he was going to the store maybe 10 minutes ago so I think we still have time."

Genos stood up with a much more enthusiastic attitude. "Alright then let's get started."

You pulled up one of the chairs from the table and set it up in the kitchen. You then grabbed a towel from the bathroom to use as a cover and a pair of scissors. You instructed Genos to go wet his hair before hand and came back to find him sitting calmly in the chair.

Your nerves got the best of you as you saw how sexy he looked with his damp hair. But Dr. Kuseno was right, you noted why the length of his hair could be a problem.

"You weren't lying, your hair is really long," You mused, shyly feeling a wet strand.

"That's why I want to get rid of it." He nodded.

"Like.....all of it?" You questioned, wide eyed.

"No, just enough me to see clearly."

"Okay, well how do you want it? I can give you shorter bangs or maybe even stylize it off to the side...." You stooped down in front of him to get a better image of a solution. You messed around with his hair as you did so, running your fingers through his extremely soft golden locks.

However, you were so fixated on staying on task that you didn't notice Genos looking at you. The cyborg would never admit to anyone, much less you, but he had a growing crush on you. You were friends with Saitama long before he ever met him and learned that you had been living with the hero-for-fun for almost 4 years. He grew closer to you when he moved in as well and found that you were an incredibly bright and funny person. Saitama always kidded that you were the warmth that lit up the place, and Genos strongly believed that. Your presence alone made him happy.

The cyborg's core hummed in response to your delicate hands tangling in his wet hair. His face heated up when he noticed he was staring at your lips that were curved in a thoughtful pout. "Genos? You still with me?" You glanced down at him.

Genos tried to recover quickly as if he wasn't distracted by the thought of kissing you. "Yes?"

You produced a comb out of your back pocket and parted his bangs a little more than halfway. "I was asking if you really wanted to cut your hair. You could just push your bangs off to the side with some gel."

"No, I need to be ready at all times." Genos shook his head. He frowned when he saw the goofy smile on your face. "What?"

"You look cute with long bangs," You grinned, showing him how you arranged it on a large handheld mirror. He blinked nervously; your smile always made his core overheat.

"Wait, I want to try something!" You exclaimed and combed more of his hair towards the front. "Ha, you look so emo."

"(y/n)...."

"Don't worry, we still have time, but I want to try some hairstyles on you," You mused, a bobby pin between your lips as you concentrated on his hair. "Long hair sure does make you look intense though...."

Your face felt a thousand degrees hotter as you stole glances at the cyborg's deep golden eyes. Something about the way the strands of his blond hair lightly swept across his steely gaze made you melt. Geez, everything about this man was perfect, from the furrowed eyebrows to his sharp jaw line. Sometimes you wondered if this was actually what he looked like when human. Genos said Dr. Kuseno created his body in the most likely image so it was incredible to think that he was just naturally this handsome.

You waved away all those thoughts and opened one of the bobby pins you had. It easily slipped into his locks and pinned his bangs back so that you could see his forehead. "This could work too." You showed him through the mirror.

"Er...maybe not." You shook your head as you saw several pieces of his bangs slipping out of the hold.

You were taking out the bobby pins when an image suddenly appeared in your head. "You know, you wouldn't look half bad with an undercut either," You commented thoughtfully.

Genos merely huffed a laughed and rolled his eyes. "I'm serious! And with the piercings you'd look really—" You stopped yourself before you could continue any further. Your words were getting a little less than friendly compliments. "Nevermind."

You were about to go back to work when Genos halted your actions by gently grabbing your wrist. "What?"

"I-it's nothing, really," You affirmed with a shy smile. You were too quick to assume he'd let you off the hook though.

"Tell me what you were going to say," He asked with those earnest puppy dog eyes.

Your embarrassment got the better of you however and you shrugged off his hand. "I'll be back," You murmured and went off to the bathroom. Your heart sunk when you caught the hurt in his eyes.

Genos always felt like you were keeping things from him. And when it was evident that you were, it hurt him worse. He felt like he could never truly connect with you if you didn't share with him. It may have been 'just nothing', but to him all your words counted. He cared about what you thought and what you were feeling.

When you came back, however, you both put the awkward encounter in the past. Instead, Genos stared at the bottle in your hands curiously. "What is that?"

"Some gel. I wanted to try one last style before cutting your hair to the length you want," You told him as you pour a small drop in your palm.

You then stood over him and cautiously pushed back his long locks. "Sorry," You apologized for the proximity between you two.

Genos slightly shook his head to signal it was fine. He was suddenly overcome by the pleasurable feeling of your fingers running through his hair. The gel added more friction so the duration of your touch last a lot longer. And it felt absolutely fantastic. His mind was filled with thoughts of taking your lips as you further gripped his hair. He was entranced by the idea so profusely that he didn't realize he growled aloud.

The cyborg realized his mistake when your fingers tensed up. He opened his eyes and found you staring back at them. ".....was that you?" You questioned. He couldn't exactly make a convincing lie, so he nodded slowly.

You bit your lip anxiously and glanced away. That noise was just about the sexiest thing you had heard from him. Having no idea what to do, you pulled away your hands and placed them at your sides.

You cleared your throat and inspected the result of your work. Probably not the best idea though.

You held in your gasp of surprised delight when you saw how amazingly hot Genos looked with his hair slicked back. You had a visual of what he might look like but yet again this man exceeded all your expectations. Was there anything he couldn't pull off?

Your facial expression wasn't so easy to hide however. Genos raised an amused eyebrow at you. "What is it?"

"Nothing!" You squeaked, flipping around to try and control the warmth spreading through your face.

But to your shock, Genos had pulled you down on him by your hips. As if your face couldn't get any hotter, you turned to him with wide eyes. "G-genos?"

"What's wrong? Why did you freeze up like that?" The cyborg asked.

"I-I froze up? No, I was just thinking is all," You lied through a forced smile. "Um, you look good though. Really good." Nice recovery, (y/n).....

Genos nodded in understanding. You were sure the coast was clear and made to get off of him, but his arms were still firmly around you. The cyborg noticed this as well. However, somehow, he couldn't let go. He didn't want to. He liked the feeling of holding you in his arms; the smell of fresh spring from your hair wafted into his nostrils and clouded him with the comforting scent. If Genos knew he wouldn't be able to release you then he wouldn't have taken you up in his arms.

But now he was left to stare into your curious (e/c) eyes that shone clearer than water. The cyborg who always calculated, who always though before he acted, stopped. His instincts took over and he pulled your legs off to the side while keeping on hand around your hip. You were also acting against your normal code and swung an arm across his shoulders.

Your faces were now a lot closer. Your expressions mirrored each others as you gazed at one another with daring hesitance. Your forehead lightly touched while the distance between your lips decreased.

"Genos...." You whispered shyly.

The cyborg's hand came up to your jaw; his softened gold irises never leaving yours. Your eyes shut and thought you felt a spark of electricity when his lips touched yours. But it was so brief that you didn't pay attention at all. Instead you focused on kissing him.

Genos was very gentle at first, only moving when you gave a small indication that you would respond. He grazed his lips across yours and dragged them with every movement. You felt his hand shift from your jaw to the back of your neck to pull you down closer.

This deepened the kiss and you swore that you heard him growl underneath his breath. That's when the kiss became a bit more heated. Genos loved the sensation of your soft lips and the sound they produced when he pulled away and hungrily met them again. The passion he radiated affected you as well and you moved the hand that was on his shoulder and tangled it into his hair. The cyborg automatically responded to the action by picking you up from your thighs and allowing you to place them on either side of him while still sitting on his lap.

A part of you was severely embarrassed by the gesture but you were too consumed by the feeling of kissing him that you disregarded it. Genos, however, noticed that moment of tenseness, retracted himself enough to break the kiss.

"We don't have to do this," He murmured, his eyes still on your lips.

"I want to," You replied curtly and dove back to reunite by cupping his cheeks. You felt a smirk against his lips as he hummed softly. His hands ran up the sides of your thighs and curved along the small of your back.

You two were making out for quite a few minutes until you were interrupted by a familiar bald head who just so happened to walk in at the wrong time. "What the hell are you guys doing?"

You both jumped in surprise and turned your heads to see Saitama glaring at you. "If you guys want to chew each other's faces off go ahead, but not in my kitchen!"

"Actually we were—"

Saitama sighed and shook his head. The scissors and other hair tools scattered on the counter caught his eye. "What did I just walk into?"

"Hair cut?" You chuckled nervously.

"Yeah, right." He rolled his eyes. "Well, can you do that somewhere else?"

"Aye, sir." You saluted in embarrassment and gathered your necessities while signaling Genos to follow. You stepped out onto the balcony with him at your heels. "Well, that was awkward," You muttered, setting up your things.

"I'm sure he'll calm down," the cyborg mused, but you had suddenly turned to him. "I'm sorry," You blurted out.

Genos blinked. "What?"

"I'm sorry about what happened in there. I know you may not feel the same way so please refrain from such actions around me. You may think it harmless, but I don't want to get hurt..." You rambled on whilst twisting your fingers.

Genos then shut you up by taking your face into his palms and leaning in for a chaste kiss. "(y/n), I like you too. I was just never able to tell you. I, like you, was afraid of getting hurt."

"But today....I don't know what came over me. I couldn't keep myself away any longer." He stared honestly into your eyes.

"Do....do we have to?" You asked shyly.

"I would rather not but that all depends on you," Genos said.

You smiled, the same smile that melted his cold exterior. "I don't want to stay away any more." You stood on your tip toes and kissed him once again. "How about we actually cut your hair now?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a few minutes of snipping and measuring, you finally thought your job was done. You took a step back to inspect your handiwork.
As soon as Genos's eyes met yours, you knew it was perfect.
"Tada! Finished!" You smiled brightly and handed him the mirror. You came around behind him to see his reaction.
Genos ran a hand through his hair and he angled the mirror. "Wow, it looks almost exactly like my spikier hair."
"Yup, but since you changed the material it's a lot straighter. And now, shorter," You grinned. "Do you like it?"
"This will really help me in battle, thank you."
"Anytime," You replied kindly, putting away some of the things you used. Just as you were about to go back inside, you turned your body half way to face him. "And next time you want a haircut, you don't have to kiss your way to get it." You winked and strolled back inside leaving a flustered Genos in your wake.
I hope you liked it, @gaohlue! XD
