26. None Of Your Business
The question that Hajoon had just asked hung in the air in front of the startled Hobi who still remained in his frozen position on his way out of the RV. Namjoon clenched his hands into fists by his side, hating the smirk that remained on his older brother's face.
"Well? I'm waiting. Also, what on earth are you all wearing? Did you go to some tacky costume shop or something?"
It was only then that Namjoon realized that they were still dressed in the same clothes they had been wearing when they had arrived in the land of pirates. Namjoon honestly didn't care though. He used to care about how he looked to his brother, but now all he cared about was his new family.
"Well, Namjoonie?"
"It's none of your business," said Namjoon then, startling Hajoon whose eyes widened at Namjoon's statement.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me," said Namjoon as he moved to stand directly behind Hobi, reaching out a hand to gently lay it on his shoulder. "Now excuse us. We are getting off."
Hajoon frowned as he watched Namjoon walk out of the RV with Hobi. Namjoon slammed the door shut before moving to walk past him with Hobi without another word. It was obvious that Hajoon didn't like Namjoon's response; his eyes tracking after Namjoon and Hobi as they entered the fried chicken joint.
"Who's the jerk?" asked Jungkook from where he sat in the RV, watching Hajoon out the window.
Suga was watching from where he was up front, noticing Hajoon turning his gaze to look towards the front of the RV. Hajoon's eyes landed on Suga's reflection in the car mirror. Suga let his lips curl into a smirk, holding up a hand to wave. This reaction seemed to set Hajoon off more as he immediately moved to stomp off into the chicken place after Namjoon like a child.
"Namjoon's older brother," replied Suga to Jungkook's question as Jungkook too watched Hajoon stomp his way across the lot to the chicken place.
"For being the oldest, he certainly acts like a baby."
After saying that, Jungkook moved to stand up from the table and walk towards the exit to the RV. Jungkook's actions caused Suga to immediately stand up from where he was sitting.
"And where are you going?"
"Out, mother. What does it look like?" asked Jungkook as Suga moved to block the exit.
"You can't leave until Namjoon and Hobi get back."
"Are you really going to try to stop me?" asked Jungkook with an amused smirk upon his lips. "This should be interesting."
Suga's eyes followed Jungkook's hand as it moved to rest on the hilt of the sword still sheathed about his waist. Instead of firmly grasping the hilt though, Jungkook danced his fingertips along the top of it.
"Bring it on, Suga Lips."
"Suga lips?" spluttered Suga in such a way that Jungkook couldn't help but to grin, letting out a laugh. "You have a screw loose. You're insane."
"Let me off the RV and you'll have a brief break from my insanity."
"Even if I let you off - which isn't happening - I wouldn't let you leave without some sort of chaperone."
"Are you saying you'd have to babysit me?"
"Not me. Someone has to stay with the RV."
"So you're volunteering Taehyung," said Jungkook with a chuckle, turning to look at Taehyung who still sat at the table, tentatively touching his newly bandaged wound underneath his shirt. "Fine. Taehyung! Get up! You're coming with me."
"You're not even going to ask?" asked Taehyung as he looked at Jungkook.
"Nope! Telling you is my way of asking," said Jungkook as he turned his attention back to look at Suga.
"I told you that was a condition if you were getting off, which you aren't..."
"I am," said Jungkook.
"Why do you want to get off so badly?"
"OH. MY. WORD. I DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU!"
Jungkook didn't mean to yell, but he couldn't help it at that point. The fingertips that had been dancing across the hilt of his sword now gripped it firmly. As Taehyung came to stand by Jungkook's side, he noticed and reached out to move Jungkook's hand off it.
"Don't fight," Taehyung said.
Suga didn't say anything when he noticed Jungkook heave an irritated sigh, but listen. Suga supposed that Taehyung was at least a good stabilizer for Jungkook, but he still didn't like the idea.
"Fine. I'll let you get off with Taehyung, but you at least have to leave the sword here."
"No."
"Jungkook..."
"Suga..." he drawled out in a mocking way back.
"You will be leaving that weapon here."
"No I won't."
"Yes, you will."

A few minutes later, Jungkook found himself standing in the small, semi-cramped back corner of the electronics shop with Taehyung. Jungkook had his phone in one hand, comparing all the different chargers they had for sale with it to see which one would work. Jungkook wanted to be able to recharge his battery as soon as possible in order to be able to listen to his tunes again. Taehyung stood awkwardly beside him, looking at all the alien tech that he wasn't used to.
"Um...Jungkook?"
"Yes?" asked Jungkook without looking over at Taehyung, holding the prong of a charger up to the bottom of his phone.
"They keep staring this way and pointing at you."
A small smirk appeared on Jungkook's face then, but he was otherwise unphased by it. Jungkook knew why they were staring.
It was because he still had his sword firmly sheathed by his side.

"So that was your brother?"
Namjoon nodded as he stood alongside Hobi in the line, waiting for their turn to order fried chicken. Though he hadn't been able to ask anyone else what they wanted, he assumed no one would really make a fuss about it as long as they got something to eat. Namjoon's eyes scanned the menu board for the best deal before he felt someone putting their hand on his shoulder from behind. Turning, Namjoon stared right into the face of Hajoon. Again.
"You can't just walk away from the conversation like that."
"Hajoon, don't you have some sort of important job to do?" asked Namjoon, reminded often enough about how much money Hajoon made weekly at his cushy CEO job. "Please leave us alone."
Hajoon didn't say anything in response, feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket at that specific moment. He looked towards Namjoon who had just turned back around to move up to the front of the line with Hobi. Seeing that Namjoon didn't have any plans to turn around again, Hajoon moved to step outside the chicken place. Hajoon felt like the scent clung to him as he stepped back outside, replacing the expensive cologne he had on.
Hajoon clicked the button on the side of his phone to see that he had a new text message. Upon unlocking his phone, he saw the text was from his fellow business partner. If it wasn't for this man, Hajoon wouldn't have moved up through the ranks as fast as he had even with his degree. It caused Hajoon to be the envy of everyone in the building. They didn't like that he had become a CEO almost instantly because he was this man's favorite. Thinking about how to reply to the text as he made his way back to the car, Hajoon eventually stumbled across the right phrasing. He typed it out before pressing 'send'.
'No. Nothing odd to be found here. Just my little brother and his stupid RV.'
