Chapter 30

Her body falls limp in his arms as He carries her , Looking at her tear stained face He takes a deep breath , He would set everything as before ! He promises himself and walks out of the room only to Find Priya walking towards the room with a tray of Food & Drinks . She glances up from the tray and frowns seeing Madhu in the arms of Rishab .

"What Do You think You are doing Mister ?" She asks fuming .

"Taking her home " Rishab replies with equal intensity . He hated that Fact of How Priya had lied to him about the whereabouts of Madhu . The Woman in front of him had tested his patience way too much .

"What?" She yells at him angrily and folds her hands to the chest after placing the tray in the nearby table .

"Are You Deaf? – I am Taking her home !" He tells gritting his teeth

"And Who Gave You Permission ?" Priya snaps at him

"Who needs to Give me Permission to take MY Madhu Home?" He sneers at her .

"MY Madhu?" Priya lets out a mocking chuckle and continues "You Lost the Right When You Left her For the Other Woman In Your Life !"

"Other Woman?" Rishab questions her shocked about whom is She talking about

"Don't Act ! You are –" She is cut off as They hear Madhu's hysterically cry Nightmares

"Shh Madhu – You are Here –Safe –" Rishab whispers sweet nothings into her ears pulling her more closer to him . Priya sees Madhu's sobs subsiding and snuggling more into Rishab . Now She is more than Sure That they love each other way too deeply . She just wanted to provoke Rishab to get the truth out of him – But when She was about to provoke further Madhu's cry cut her off . Now How Can She get to the truth? She cannot let Rishab play with Her Friend She wonders .

"You Saw that She needs Me Right Now More than Anyone Else ! and I Cannot Stay in Your Place for the Night Given that You are Living alone . You know how the world would see if A Man stays alone with two girls for a night ! and I Do not want to be the cause of Your Names Getting taint " He explains his reasons calming trying to hold back his temper .

Priya looks at him amazed seeing the way he had explained to her his reasons . He was right , The place She lived was full of gossip aunties , Even then Can She let him take her? When Madhu had trusted her .

"You Leave But Madhu will be Here !" She answers back sternly .

"Just F*Ck Off , She is Mine ! I have the Right to Take Her & Do Whatever I want too With Her !" He roars with His eyes turning red in rage without waiting for Priya to reply He carries Madhu Down the Stairs out of the house . The Last String of his patience Gone .

Priya's shivers hearing his roar and lowers her head down While he walks past her . That intensity of anger in his eyes is too much for her to take . Her shocked expression softens as She smiles seeing Rishab who was walking out of her door with Madhu.

Placing her on the Passenger seat carefully . Rishab ties the seat belt around her . He brushes of the damp hair on her forehead and looks closely at her . She looked pale & tired .

"Leave Me uncle" She murmurs scared as a tear slides down .

"Please " She pleads as more tears makes its way down her cheeks .

"Madhu " Rishab pats her cheeks hurriedly seeing her crying yet again , He pulls her close in her hug and runs his hands through her hair trying to soothe her .

"Uncle please !" Rishab hears her begging , He could feel her shiver , removing the seat belt He pulls her closer to him and wraps his arms around her protectively . Taking the jacket from the back seat He wraps it around her to make her warm .

Uncle? Rishab wonders , Did She go through the same before too? He wonders but For Now He decides not to question her . It is another talk for another time .

She hugs him tightly as She murmurs terrified "Save me Rishab , Uncle and Rahul will not leave me Rishab – " ,

Rishab's stiffens hearing her What does She mean? And Still He could see that She is sleep talking Yet She trusts him so much to call his name out .

"Why Only Me Madhu?" He whispers to her sleeping form .

Taking a deep breath he closes his eyes to clear the thin moisturizer which was forming on his orbs .

He tries to move her back but instead He feels her tightening the hold on him . He waits for few minutes until she falls into a deep slumber . Removing her fingers slowly from his shirt He makes her rest back on the seat delicately . Giving her one last look he drives the car .

Sultan looks around , Finding no one around He decides to sit on the bench which was placed nearby to him in the park . He drops his face to his palms thinking back to the incident which happened few hours .

Rejection ! For the First time ever he had faced from a Girl , It hurt him because He was humiliated publicly in front of a whole college . His image had been damaged and he had become a laughing stock to everyone . They Laughed at him when He paced around the streets looking at His Confession Video which had gone viral .

His phone peeps in with a message . Taking out his phone tiredly from the pocket his eyes widens seeing the view rate increasing each minute and He had been tagged on the videos calling him a #RichDoucheBag and Comments saying that money does not buy everything and Applauding Madhu for Rejecting him and Showing Him the True Mirror of Himself and Life . His eyes widens finding the availability of subtitles on all the languages from Malayalam-to-Telugu-to Tamil –To Bengali-To Gujarati-to List goes on . Further the Memes made on him only adds to his distress.

He throws his phone on the grass fed up of everything happening to him .It was because of Madhu ! He fumes but His facial expression changes as Her Last words comes past his mind .

"Do you Like me Sultan?" ,'Take a good look at what your heart feels , regarding your family and women. "

"What does She mean by that?" He wonders feeling unfamiliar feeling settling on him . He closes his eyes shaking his head trying to get out of her words ringing in his mind .

As On Cue , It rains heavily drenching him from head to toe . He stands on the Downpour wanting the rain to take away his distress .

Taking a deep breath He sits on the car and takes obscure route home to avoid from the Fans He had created for himself at the moment . He places his two fingers on his temple while driving back home trying to get read of the unknown feeling which had settled on him because of Madhu's words .

Removing the Seat belt Rishab carefully tucks Madhu in his arms and paces to the Mansion . He thanks his stars not spotting anyone around . He did not want anyone to see Him with Her in his arms But When Has the Universe Listened to the pleas of a poor man? , Mukund was the first one to rush to him with Meena Maa trailing behind him worriedly .

"What happened to her?" Meena asks anxiously

"Rishab Where was She ?" Mukund questions him next .

Rishab wets his lips to speak but stops feeling her stirring in his arms and snuggling more closer to him . It brings a small smile on his face but He is quick to mask and put up the serious face.

Meena Maa smiles seeing him walk away with Madhu . She isn't sure what had happened to her girl but She is sure that Her Son would be there to hold her . Mukund sighs annoyed seeing Rishab walking away without answering his questions .

"She is fine !" Meena maa says and squeezes Mukund's hand seeing him worried & annoyed at the same time.

"I hope too maa " He whispers and walks away to his room.

Madhu opens her eyes lazily and rubs to clear her vision . She gasps finding herself in the arms of Rishab .

"You woke up?" He asks softly while placing her on her bed .

She does not reply instead takes her time to survey her surrounding "How I am here?" She asks softly

"I Brought You " He replies with a smile .

"Why?" She questions . She does not deserve to stay here anymore .

"I am Leaving " She tells before he answers and tries to gett down from the bed .

"Stop" Rishab tells sternly pulling her back .

"I Don't deserve here anymore " She yells at exasperated .

"Why?" He asks calmly knowing he had to get it from her .

"I Did not complete my mission " She is quick to answer

"What mission?—If You are talking about Getting Three of Us to the Funeral – You did it – Infact I came to college in the morning to thank you for opening my eyes Madhu " He pauses to take a good breath while She looks at him intently

"It Felt so good – Talking to My Father Once and Letting out everything – I Feel like a Huge burden have been kept down from my heart –and " He stops giving her full smile and says shyly , " I Gave him a Bunch of Roses Mama always wanted to give him , So I gave- " He voice flatters at the end as He turns around to wipe the thin moisture which had formed .

A Small smile appears on her face hearing him but it vanishes instantly as She remembers all the occurrences of the day .

"I am Leaving " She tells abruptly wiping the tear which had slid down and gets down from the other side of the bed .

Rishab runs to the other side and holds her arms tightly in his as He asks angrily "Why Do You Have to Leave yet again ?" ,

She cries as She asks him sniffing in between "What Do You think about me Rishab? I am What? One moment you leave me like I am Some kind of Plaque , Next moment You kiss me – and Carry me From Another place when I am asleep and now You are not at least letting me Leave – What Right Do I have to be here? One day or the other I should leave right?"

"You not a Plaque – You are Everything A Person needs Madhu – I Know I was wrong to Leave when you trusted me more than everyone but Madhu Ani – "

He is cut off as Madhu lets out a chuckle pushing him away "Dipali You Like her means be with her not here with me ! " She sneers at him

"Madhu you are getting it all wrong --" Rishab starts to tell but stops seeing her not even listening to him and trying to unlock the door .

"Madhu please " He pleads holding her wrist

"You Should feel repulsed to touch me Rishab Kundra – " She says hurt pulling her hand from him .

"Madhu You are crossing your limit I said I am not disgusted by You " He tells gritting his teeth angrily Seeing from the beginning She is getting back to square one .

She opens the door to Find Meena Maa standing outside with a tray of food .

"How Are you beta?" She asks sadly running her fingers through Madhu's cheeks . She had nudged Mukund to spill out what had happened . She had got to know the incident of the College except for the fact that Rishab left her . She had been furious but Mukund had calmed her down .

Seeing Her Mother , Madhu wraps her arms around her shoulder as She sobs loudly . Meena Hugs her back hurriedly passing the tray to Rishab . Madhu sobs shivering in her arms She needed a mother to comfort her after what She went through .

"Madhu Look at me " Meena maa pulls her back her own eyes welling up seeing Madhu crying bitterly . She pulls Madhu with her to bed and makes her sit and hugs her close to her chest.

"Don't cry beti – It wasn't your fault , He needs to be punished not you – Look at me " She says hurriedly holding Madhu's face in her hands ,

Madhu cries more hugging her tighter " I shouted maa to Leave but he – He called me names – I pleaded him Maa to leave me –But he pulled me – " She stops asks she gasps for breath reminiscing the incident . Meena hugs her close to her chest and combs her hair trying to pacify her

"Shh Don't say anything – You are a gem & You know Who you are never ever give your ears to the shit they talk about you "

Rishab's eyes wells up seeing her in so much pain . He walks out of the room to his room knowing his presence there is not needed for the moment . Meena Maa would look after her for the night .

Sultan walks back home drenched still pondering over Madhu's words . He stops at the entrance of his room and looks sideways . He could hear Madhu's shrill cries from her room . He turns his heels and takes a step to move towards Madhu's room but stops remembering about his own situation because of her .

Rishab walks out of the room after changing his clothes to check on Madhu . He sees Sultan standing frozen in front of his own room with his head hang down . For a Moment Rishab feels his heart aching seeing him in that condition . He had always seen The arrogant and Head high version of Sultan .

Feeling Someone 's Gaze Sultan angles his head to See Rishab looking at him sadly . Is He pitying me? Sultan could not help but think but least Did he know that His brother was saddened seeing him in this state . With his expressionless face Sultan enters his room without even sparing a second to look at Rishab and Shuts The door hardly .

Rishab sighs knowing It is his illusion that Sultan might change after this . He would be the same . Rishab opens Madhu's room door to find her sleeping on Meena maa's Lap . It pricks his heart to see her cry so much but He knows She needs to let it all out . All He wants now is to run to her and wrap his arms around her and tell her All would be fine . Deciding not to disturb he walks back to his room trying to catch some sleep , It had been a long day !

Dipali wipes her tears hastily running her fingers through Their Picture , Hers & Sultan's Childhood Picture , They were hugging and Sultan was kissing her on her cheeks .

"Why do I have to do this every damn time? When I collect the tiny pieces of my heart and join , you break it again & again ! Why Sultan? Why do I have to love you so much even after knowing You would never ever even spare a minute to look at me? , Why? " She cries loudly hugging their picture close to her chest .

"See How Happy We were? I was Your Everything Long back Right? What Changed in between Sultan? What changed ? I still love you even after so many rejections – I guess I need another lifetime to get over you – I Just can't – Please Stop doing this to me " She cries throwing their picture on the bed and curls up into a ball hugging her knees closer to her chest as She sobs .

The Next Morning Mukund decides to drop by Madhu's room to check on whether She is doing well .He sees Madhu resting leaning onto the bed headrest .

"Muku " She calls him softly hearing the footsteps opening her eyes .

"How are You Madhu?" He asks concerned taking a seat beside her .

"I am Fine " Madhu replies with a weak smile .

Seeing her mood flattering Mukund says jokingly "DabbangMadhu was Brave to reject Sultan so easily " ,

Madhu gasps & asks shocked by his knowledge on this knowing Mukund was nowhere present in the college "How Do You know?" ,

Mukund chuckles and says "The whole world knows !

Madhu shrieks shocked "How?"

Mukund Shows her the confession video , Her jaws hung open "I did not mean to do this –" She whispers softly sad thinking about how much it would have hurt Sultan.

Madhu asks Quickly "Is He Home?" ,

Mukund shakes his head negatively and says her "Don't worry – It was His First Rejection – But I am Sure He would be probably out seducing another woman !"

She stares at the video worriedly even after Muku try to console her , She knows Sultan He wasn't bad by his character , He is just a flirt , Hell He never had even misbehaved with her . Where would he be now? She frets over him wondering whether She had been too harsh on him.

"What?" Mukund asks grinning without barking at His Manager who was looking at him weirdly

"Sir you are not in the school uniform right?"

"Change the glasses Mishra " Mukund tells teasing and gets on the car . Putting his head out of the window He continues "I am in A Good Mood , Get in soon I am going to meet someone ",

Mishra wonders what had got into his boss "May—I-- know --who is it?" He asks stuttering .

Mukund chuckles and says "A Girl !"

"Girl?" Mishra shouts shocked & surprised

"Why?" Mukund questions confused

"Sir You never ever was interested in any girl as Far as My Knowledge the Last girl You liked was Sristi who you broke up with 3 years back ",

Mukund's mood turns sour as He says "Get on Before I Fire you "

"Yes Sir !" Mishra says fearfully and dashes into the car as they drive off .

Trishna sighs roaming around place to place finding for a vacancy . She had thought She could easily get one after leaving the Café but She couldn't . Right now She needs a job . Opening the cap of the bottle She drinks water gulping it down her throat She puts the bottle back into the bag and decides to resume her work of hunting for A Job .

Mukund who passes by that way sees Trishna cursing to herself with her face annoyed . unknown to himself a full smile appears on his lips seeing her . He was going to meet her & She is here !

"Mishra Stop" He tells not taking his eyes of Trishna

Mishra applies the break and turns to look at His Boss Who was smiling to himself like an idiot . Did Sir Lose nuts after wearing a Girl's dress ? Mishra wonders .

Mukund grinning Sets his hair and his suit properly wearing a cap and cooling glass Masking himself properly given that He does not want to get in a ring of fans .He Walks towards Trishna.

Mishra gapes seeing His Sir Suiting up himself just to talk to a girl , This was the First time ever He is witnessing his Sir behaving like a Freaking Lovesick teenager . He mentally decides to take his Sir to a psychologist before He loses all his nuts.

Seeing A Man Who was Not looking more than A Terrorist with covering himself up Trishna frowns and starts saying him annoyed "Hey Man Don't even think of holding me hostage Okay? None is going to give in your demands having me hostage – Just go and Find someone else who is worth your demands – Already My Own Life is F*cked Up!"

Mukund gapes hearing her and chuckles "But For someone you are worth " He teases

"Before I get my Chappal Leave – I am not in a mood to get impressed with your Corny words !" She says throwing her hands up in the air frustrated .

"Trishna it's me " Mukund replies and removes his glass So that She could look before wearing it again ,

Her Eyes widens as She shouts excitedly " Superstar !" and Just like that Muku's efforts of masking goes idle as He finds himself drowning in a pool called fans while bouncing from one person's arms to another .
