Chapter 62
Runaway by Aurora
Take me home. Take me home where I belong. I can't take it anymore.
I pull my pre packed suitcase out my closet and write a note. It takes me an hour to decide what to say. How to fit what I have to say into a page. But when I finally do, I sign it and tape it to my door. Everyone is in bed by now.
My flight is in an hour and twenty minutes. I go onto my balcony and climb down the two story building carefully, still somehow managing to hold my suitcase and duffel bag.
When I get to the front of the house I see Jameson on the doorstep. I stand with him waiting for my Uber.
"Hey." I smile weakly. "I had to see you one last time. I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. It was a stupid mistake. I didn't want to hurt you." He apologises with bloodshot eyes and tear stained cheeks.
"It's okay Jamie. But do me a favour.. Don't let me hold you back. If you want to be with her, be with her." I tell him.
"I love you." He reminds me one last time as my Uber pulls up.
"I know." I smile sadly. I can't bring myself to say it back. But I do. And he knows I do.
Avery.
We all gather around, reading the letter one last time to dissect any kind of clue, something to tell us she's coming back.
"She's gone." Jameson speaks up. "Yeah no ship." Max scoffs. "I watched her leave." He says. Staring down at the letter, his eyes not moving.
"You let her just go?" I demand. "She had to. It was what she wanted." He defends.
"Grayson's gone as well. Do you think they ran away together?" Nash enters the room.
"She left on her own. She's leaving to get away from us not to take us away with her." Jameson explains.
I reread the letter one last time.
I'm sorry.
I chose to leave early for MAD to get away from everything and to start a new chapter in this dramatic fucking book I'm living in. It's nobodies fault. I'm doing this for myself. I want to be my own person, not 'Avery's slutty sister'. So i probably won't be back for a little. But who knows, if things don't work out I might be back.
Love,

Or whatever the fuck my name is.
(end book 2)
(a/n. Wow. Part 2 is over. I'm honestly speechless. I can't express how incredibly thankful I a, to every single one of you who has stuck with this book, and read passed all the spelling mistakes and over dramatic plots. Or maybe you're reading this some time in the future when this book is finished. Who knows. But all I can say is that it means so much to me. Thank you. And make sure to read on because tonight I'll also be publishing the intro to Part three with character aesthetics, music and quotes to look forward to. I think you'll all like it because there's a lot more of your favourite characters plus some new ones.
