Lunch
(Third person P.O.V)
'Roderich!'
He was honestly expecting Elizabeta since it was her house, He didn't know how to deal with this.
"So are you gonna just stand there?" Roderich said as he snapped Basch out of his thoughts.
"No" he said as he stepped through the door, heart pounding.
Once Basch was inside, he noticed that Elizabetha was at the stove cooking some sort of food. While her husband, Gilbert laid down on the couch.
"Oh, hello Basch! It's been a while, hasn't it? Nice seeing you again!"
Greeted Elizabeta, smiling.
"Same to you. I look forward to lunch. Is there anything I could help you with?"
"It's fine! I'm almost done."
Elizabeta said, stirring the soup.
The Swiss man noticed a variety of dishes on the diner table. There were many German dishes like Bratwurst.
"Hallo, Basch!" Said Gilbert, sitting up. The swiss man couldn't help but wonder how Elizabeta chose the prussian over Roderich.
"Hallo." Replied Basch, taking a seat on the couch beside the Austrian.
Neither of them said a word for a few awkward minutes. During those minutes, Basch was thinking how he should tell Roderich his feelings. He knows he shouldn't surprise the Austrian, or else he would be rejected. Basch had to make sure Roderich felt the same way about him.
The blonde haired man looked beside him, meeting Roderich's violet eyes.
Basch noticed a tint of pink on the brown haired man, and that's a sign.
A good sign actually.
"Roderich..."
"Y-yes, Basch?"
"Never mind. I want to talk to you after lunch."
"Okay."
Basch had noticed Roderich stutter, perhaps he did feel the same way. However, that would be a miracle. The Austrian man couldn't help but feel his heart pounding, as if he just finished a workout.
Roderich knew he liked Basch. Ever since they were little children. He misses the way Basch would take care of him, and the way how the swiss man can be so kind to him. He would never admit that he liked Basch though. The swiss man hated him. He knew it. Plus, he was married to Elizabeta. WAS.
"Alright everyone! Lunch is ready!" Elizabeta giggled, setting the soup on the diner table.
Roderich grabbed the plates, spoons, and forks, helping to set up the table.
Gilbert was already at the table, sitting down and eager for lunch.
Basch just got to the diner table, and sat down as well.
When Roderich was done helping Elizabeta out, both of them sat at the table, staring at the various dishes in front of them.
"Danke,Roderich. Everyone, dig in!"
Said Elizabeta, taking some of the bratswurt.
The blonde haired male hesitated a bit, but then tried some of the soup.
Basch was amazed at how good the soup was, and thought he was in heaven for a moment.
"Whoa... Eliza, the soup tastes amazing."
"Thank you! Really, its not that good, compared to the last one. But, I tried."
"Kesesese~ It's awesome as always, mein liebe!"
The Hungarian woman blushed at Gilbert's compliment, then she cleared her throat.
"Right. Now, let's just continue eating."
T
he German nations were finally done their lunch, and all thanked Eliza a bunch of times for the meal.
Basch offered to do the dishes, but Gilbert said he'd do it instead.
"Basch? What was it that you would like to tell me?" Roderich asked, remembering that the swiss man had to tell him something.
"Can I tell you in private? It's important."
"Okay. Let's go outside then."
They went outside, while Gilbert and Elizabeta stayed.
The Hungarian woman looked over at the albino, smirking.
"I told you Basch would confess his feelings. I win. Ten dollars."
"Wait! Jou don't know if he did it! He could just be talking to him!"
"Fine. Let's get some proof then."
"Okay. This is going to be awesome!" The married couple chuckled mischievously, and followed Basch out of the house.
They hid in a bush, and listened to their conversation.
