So imagine after you beat Malak after S Ranking all the stages (because let's be honest, it's either him or the blob that's gonna be final boss), the whole nightmare realm starts collapsing in on itself and now you and Bierce have to haul a*s.

BUT THE MONSTERS JOIN YOU

They all begin to haul a*s with you like the ending of Pizza Tower as you run through the nightmare realms in reverse order, starting from Malak's level and eventually ending up in the ball room once more

You save each monster as you go along because you just kicked both their a*s and the a*s of their boss, so if there's any hope of them surviving, it's going with you, hence the title Dark Deception. They are deciving their boss by hiding the fact that as soon as they don't have to listen to him anymore, they aren't gonna.

Once you all escape, you look back at the monsters who (reluctantly) Thank you for saving them. (I imagine that Lucky would be the hardest to get to say thank you, most likely requiring another member of the Joy Joy Gang to make him say it)

Then Doug gets his wish granted and so does Bierce, and then Doug looks at the monsters and asks

"So, what do you guys wish for?"
