Queen as a Whole

Her older brother John had taken her to a pub he and his band mates had a gig at. His band mate, Roger, made it a point to buy her drinks and dinner and Freddie complemented her dress. Her curly brown hair flopped over her greeny grey eyes. Queen had released their first self titled album and had themselves quite the little following. She sat at a booth by herself, waiting for the show to finish. John sat next to her, smiling.

"Hi Jade," he said to his sister between himself and Julie. Her actual name was Jaden, but everyone had called her Jade since she could remember.

"Hi John," She smiled. "And Brian. And Freddie, and the blonde who always hits on me."

"Hey, I have a name," Roger protested, while the rest of Queen had a good laugh.

"Alright, Roger." She smirked. "How's life?"

"We haven't wasted away yet," Freddie sassed.

"I saw they miscredited you on your album, John," She asked concernedly.

"Oh, yeah, umm, the producers thought I'd sound more interesting as Deacon John and didn't even ask me. It won't be like that next time." He rambled.

"We've got another set to play if we want to pay for our dinner, so ta love," Roger flirted. Jade rolled her eyes and waved at the boys onstage.

"This one's called Liar," Freddie announced. He was like a totally different person on stage.

"I was told a million times of all the troubles in my way..." Freddie sang, with Brian's guitar, John's bass and Roger's drums backing him.

"Nobody believes you," He sang accusingly. Wow, I'm starstruck!

"What honey?" A girl from the next table over scowled.

"I said I'm starstruck," Jade smiled.

"Well, stop it. I'm going to have one of those boys, just you see." She snarled.

"Stay away from my brother and his friends!" Jade warned, just before a pint of beer was dropped on her head, staining her new flowing white dress.

"Now you've done it!" Jade screamed,  but staying put. The other girl threw a punch to her gut and tugged her mousy brown hair.

"Please leave, miss," A boucer ordered. As Jade grabbed her purse to leave, and the other girl sneered at her the bouncer clarified,"Not you, the snide one." The other lady's jaw dropped to the floor and she planted her feet to the ground.

"Yeah Gertrude. You're ruining our gig, and Jade's dress." Roger said into his mic.

Brian shot daggers at him, but felt inwardly proud of the blonde drummer.

"Fine. Goodbye. **** you." She screamed as she was dragged out of the pub.

"How about we continue with Doin' Alright?" Roger hyped, and they rocked for hours. Well, Jade had to go buy a giant mens' shirt from a local shop to wear as a dress, but she loved that yellow thing to bits.

  Don't be a Gertrude.
