IDEK Continued

A continuation of the first IDEK because Wattpad is being a dummy head and won't let me just post everything in one place

"Where are you going, Daddy?," George asked

" To visit Grandpa, " Dhani explained to a confused five year old.

He didn't come back until the next evening, his eyes red and puffy, paired with tear-stained cheeks. I pulled him to the couch and we hugged for a long night. He eventually fell asleep on my chest, leaving only a little space between him and my stomach.

This was a terrible time to be newly engaged, planning a wedding and two weeks pregnant.

I laid down on the couch opposite the sitting room from Dhani. He began to whine and cry in his sleep.

"Dad, don't go," he yelled.

I shook him awake and he looked up at me with sad brown eyes. Another tear rolled down his cheek. I wiped it away with my thumb and helped him to our bed. He curled into a little lump of himself and cried more.

"Anything I can do for you, honey?" I asked him.

" Indian tea would be nice, " he replied. I put a kettle on to boil and retrieved some teabags. Mr. Harrison loved Indian tea, and Dhani inherited his exotic tastes. He loves Indian food. I microwaved some leftover noodles and vegetables from the other day and brought him the meal. I had a plate for myself as well.

"You must eat, dear," I whispered as he poked at his plate. He took a small bite, letting a noodle hang out. He started to eat the noodle by slurping it in. I laughed, realizing how he was still a child at heart.

He sipped at his tea and his eyelids drooped. He finished everything and promptly fell asleep.

The next morning, he woke up and groggily mumbled in my ear, "I want to have another baby, Louise."

" Well, I guess you're in luck, " I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Wait are you..." He trailed off. I nodded. Tears gathered in his eyes.

" I know it's kind of a bad time, and I was going to try to keep it from you because of everything going on... "

"I love you, Linda Louise McCartney," He cooed.

" I love you too, Dhani Harrison, " I replied.

"You may now kiss the bride," the pastor announced, but before he could finish, Dhani had already dipped me back and kissed me. Our ceremony was small, being my siblings, George, my Dad and his Mum, so we just went home.

We decided to wait another month to tell them, but I think Olivia knows.

We arrived in our large house out fathers had bought for us. George wanted for us to have plenty of outdoor space and Dad wanted space for us to put his 'loads of grandkids'. He cracks me up.

February 2nd

We told them. I told my professors at nursing school and my Dad, siblings, and Olivia. I was to graduate in May, and then I'd have the baby and wait a bit, then get a job. Dhani was focusing on music, and we somehow supported George and the growing life inside of me.

Dad was overjoyed, as was Olivia, and my sisters. James made an inappropriate joke, but congratulated us on baby number two.

I walked across the platform to receive my diploma and I cradled my swollen torso in my arms. To do list: Make sure Dhani can't do this to me again. I love him and our kids to the end of the earth, but I can't say the same about being pregnant.

September 10th

"Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, welcome your little girl to the world," the doctor beamed. I held her close and whispered , "I love you, Linda."

"Can I hold Lin before Paul steals her?" Dhani inquired. I sighed and passed our little girl to him, just minutes before Dad came in. Dhani audibly groaned.

"Shush, you get to live with her, and he doesn't," I comforted. " you can hug the other Linda Louise Harrison, though. I want cuddles. " I explained.

"Okay," he whined as he awkwardly tried to cuddle me without hurting me.

"I want another, Lou," Dhani said.

"Ask me again in a few years," I replied . Both he and Dad began to pout, wanting more babies.

"Dad, ask Heather or Mary or Stella or James. They are also your children and can give you grandkids." I sassed.

" I regret being sassy around you when you were impressionable, " he sighed.

A few years later

I was about to head out the door to go to my job as a nurse at a cancer treatment facility, when I heard a crash and Dhani screaming.

"What's wrong?" I called into the other room.

" Lin just puked, we're okay! " He shouted. I chuckled and kissed them both.

"I love you," I whispered in Dhani's ear. His brown eyes twinkled as I spoke. "And by the way," I said, looking into Linda's hazel eyes, " I'm pregnant again. The doctor thinks they're twins. "

His jaw was literally on the floor.

A few years later

Dhani tried to corral the kids for our Christmas photo in the garden. George and Linda each had a twin in their arms and the little tots were fussy and restless.

George had James and Linda had Lennon. They were perfect with their brown hair, bright smiled and pretty brown or hazel eyes. James has hazel and Leni has brown.

Dhani set the timer on our camera and wrapped his arms around me and the boys and I did the same to the girls. My not so little family was perfect in every way and I wouldn't trade them for the whole world.

The End?
