"This is the LAST one, Paul!" Linda screamed. Paul just sat in the corner, scared to come closer. Linda was in the middle of childbirth, bringing their fifth child into the world. Heather was sixteen, and at home with a nearly eleven year old Mary, Stella, who would be nine soon, and an almost two year old James.
The baby's head was out. Even after helping her through three other births, Paul had to look away. A few minutes later, the doctor pulled their new little girl into the world. She had a head full of dark brown hair and blue eyes.
"What're we going to call her?" Linda inquired.
"Linda Louise. She can go by her middle name. "
Paul held the pen in his hand and wrote Linda Louise McCartney on the paper.
"Hi Lou, I'm your Daddy, and I'm so excited you're here" Paul cooed, like a first time parent. She was swaddled in a yellow blanket, and to Paul and Linda, she couldn't be more perfect.
Skip a few years
The doorbell rang throughout the house. Today was James' tenth birthday party, and Dad had invited some of James' friends, including Dhani and some classmates.
I sat in my room, fiddling with my blanket. I don't wanna go to the party. I don't like James' friends. Dhani says I'm too young to be fun. I'm only a year younger than he is.
"Louise, would you come downstairs now?" My Mom asked.
"Yeah," I replied and trekked down the stairs. I pouted and stomped all the way down. James and Dhani sat at the table, talking about guitars and music. James had a blue hat on his blonde hair, and I picked up a yellow one. I placed it on my brown locks, still grumpy.
Dhani smiled as his Dad hugged him and reminded him to 'behave for Uncle Paul and Aunt Linda'. He sat at our table until Mom brought out some party games, a scavenger hunt, and similar things.
She gave us the first clue, and I took the opportunity to hide in the barn. My foot began to fall asleep on the hay I was hiding in. Then the door creaked. My Dad walked over to the hay and seated himself.
"Lou, we need you to come back to the house." He pleaded.
" No. I don't wanna spend time with James' friends. "I refuted.
"C'mon, doll, your Mother and I are getting the cake out." He shrugged, just hoping cake would entice me enough to leave the barn. I lifted myself and slowly walked back to the house. Curse my love for cake.
When I entered the house, Dad sat me at the table, and I caught a glimpse of what looked to be relief in Dhani's eyes. He has such pretty brown eyes. I have dark blue green eyes with a little ring of brown in the middle. They were the perfect mix of my parent's eyes, I looked like an even mix of them, but Dhani just looks like his dad.
Mum brought the cake out and on the face of it were birthday wishes in plain icing. We sang, James opened gifts. He got a guitar... Wow.
As everyone left, James gave out hugs.
A few years later
Now that all of the Beatle kids are teenagers, we just pick a birthday from Julian's to Sean's and celebrate everyone then. We had a little get together and exchanged gifts, had sweets, all the usual stuff.
I was going to be fourteen in August, Dhani to be fifteen, James, sixteen, Sean would be eighteen. We were really the only ones who actually went to these get togethers every year, as Jules, Mary, Stella, Heather and the Starkeys were adults.
I grew to be less lame to the boys as the years passed, and I could swear, Dhani kept sneaking glances at me throughout the gathering. We exchanged gifts, and I received a pendant necklace, music, books, etc.The boys got records and books, and a watch each.
We said our goodbyes and departed, not going to see each other again until Christmas.
Christmas came, and it was held at the Harrison's abode. Dhani had written to me and called on occasion. He was becoming quite sweet, and had said he had a special pressie for me.
We pulled into the hidden drive, our car packed with the whole McCartney brood. The older girls chatted about their jobs and school, while James taunted me, as we entered the party.
Uncle George welcomed us in with hugs and a 'Happy Christmas'
to everyone. Aunt Olivia had a large table with several appetizers near the fireplace. Mum handed her a lasagna and Dad boasted, "I do make a killer vegetarian lasagna!" We all had a chuckle at that, knowing full well how he'd just followed Mum's recipe.
Dhani and Sean stood in the corner, Sean obviously teasing Dhani about something. I moved toward the appetizers, where they were standing.
"I know you like her, Dhani boy," Sean taunted
" I don't like Louise... " He stuttered, "I think I love her."
My jaw dropped to the ground. Dhani Harrison loves me? I felt my face turn tomato red.
"Oh, have a look at who's behind you," Sean motioned. Dhani smiled awkwardly and became as red as I was. "I think she likes you too," Sean sang. Dhani's mouth moved, but nothing escaped the lump in his throat. I just squeaked a ' Sean's right' and scurried to Stella.
"Stella, Dhani just said he likes me! And I like him too, but I don't know what I should do!" I sped through several more sentences before being shushed by a call to dinner. I poked at my veggie roast and moved it around my plate until it was time for presents.
Colorfully wrapped parcels were passed around, and torn open. At the very end of the party, Dhani brought a box with a hole in the bottom to me. He grabbed my hand through the box and pulled me under the mistletoe and into a sweet kiss.
"Will you be my girl, Lou?" He inquired, visibly shaking.
"Of course." I smiled. And with that, I pulled him into another kiss.
Dhani and I had been together since Christmas, and this year, the birthday festivities were on my birthday. Dhani had gotten us a matching set of promise rings. They were plain silver bands, but on the inside of mine were his initials and mine were on his.
"I truly, with all of my heart, want to marry you someday, Linda Louise McCartney. Do you accept my promise?" He almost whispered
" YES! Dhani Harrison, I promise " I beamed. He kissed me in a celebratory manner, short but still loving.
We had a wonderful day, and when we left, Dhani asked me to meet him at the park for a 'walk'. This 'walk' had an unintended consequence. One we'd have our lives wrapped around forever.
I stared at the positive pregnancy test in my hand, thinking 'I'm fifteen, Dhani's sixteen, we can't be parents!' I was home by myself on that chilly September day, so I rang Dhani up.
"Hello, this is Louise, may I speak to Dhani, please?" I asked Aunt Olivia .
"Hey Lou! How are you?" He inquired
" Sick, and tired. Do you think we could meet and talk this weekend? "
"Sure. Our park?"
"Yes, I'll see you tomorrow at two" And with that I hung up. I hid the test and other things l needed into a backpack and caught a tube to our park.
It was already after dinner on Friday night, so I was just going to sleep under the shelter. I wrapped myself in one of James' hoodies, and sleep eventually found me. I woke up early that Saturday morning and found my way to a nearby restaurant and ordered a small breakfast. I nibbled on my hash browns and poked at my scrambled eggs.
My mouth felt dry and disgusting, so I went to the washroom to brush my teeth. I spat the foam out of my mouth and rinsed the bristles under the faucet.
I sprinted back to the park and sat on the swing, and waited for nearly two and a half hours. I saw Dhani wave his arms frantically to say hello. I smiled and remembered why I had to talk to him.
"Dhani Harrison, do you remember what happened the last time we were in this park?" I scolded.
"Yes, it was delightful. Are we going to do it again?" He wondered aloud.
"NO! Not until you learn how to use a (bleeeeeping) condom!" I shouted, handing him the test. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped , hanging on its hinges.
"We can't be parents, Lou, we're only kids ourselves. What're we gonna do?" He was just as worried as I am.
" I don't know. " I sobbed into his jumper. "Just promise you'll stay with me."
" I promised you that when I have you your ring, and I didn't plan on breaking it then, so I'm not going to now. " He cried. We are such a pathetic sight, two teens, sitting on a park bench, sobbing about a baby.
We knew we needed to keep it, no child deserves to be stuck in foster care.
"I don't think I can face my Mum and Dad yet, but I have to live with them, or tell them and live with you, but your parents need to know as well" I rambled. Dhani picked me up bridal style and carried me to a cab.
"I don't want this kid to be made fun of for being the illegitimate child of teen parents" I wailed, " and what about our families' reputation? "
He kissed my forehead and assured me everything would be alright. I'd be able to keep this a secret for about another month and a half, and that gives us until the beginning of November.
"We need to tell them before I start to show, Dhani." I whispered .
"I know, but that's terrifying to think about, both of our parents hold us to such high expectations, and we'd feel as though we've let them down"
"But they'll get over it, because they love us, and they WILL love this baby." He assured.
November came and if I wore tight clothes, you could almost see my bump. I had to tell them.
"Mom, can I talk to you?" I trembled as the question came from my mouth.
"Is it about this?" She asked, placing her palm on my stomach . My eyes widened in shock, but I realized. She's done the same five times.
"Does Dad know?" Mum nodded. " why didn't you kick me out? "
" We love you and the baby, and want you to have the best lives possible" She cooed. Tears rolled down my cheeks and I hugged her.
I dialed the Harrison's phone number. Dhani picked up.
"Hello?"
" Dhani, this is Louise. My Mum knew for a while "
"I told my parents the day you told me"
We continued to discuss matters, involving its name. We'd call a girl Linda Louise Harrison and a boy Dhani George Harrison. The first and middle names may swap places.
As I hung up, I realized that I was finally happy about this pregnancy. I rubbed my stomach and whispered a small hello.
Christmas came and went, and we told everyone at Christmas dinner. We saw no disappointment in anyone's faces. We smiled and entangled ourselves in a hug. All three of us.
May 7th, 1996
I gripped Dhani's hand so hard, I feared it may break.
"And he's here, Mr. Harrison and Ms. McCartney." The doctor handed him to me and I began bawling. He was the most beautiful little boy ever, and as he lay on my chest, breathing his first gulps of air, he opened his little eyes.
They were just as brown as his hair, and he looked just like his father.
"This is so unfair, Dhani," I complained . "I'm the one who put up with little Georgie's shenanigans for nearly nine months, and now he looks exactly like you. "
Dhani stuck his tongue out at me in response, but leaned in to kiss my forehead. "It just happens that way. I look just like my Dad, and he looks like his." Dhani smiled .
"I don't think you're mature enough to take care of him, Dhani," I teased. He went bright red and made grabby hands, signaling that he wanted the baby.
As I passed Georgie over, my parents came in. My mom promptly took George from Dhani, causing him to pout.
"Dhani boy, you'll get to see him plenty," I cooed.
" But they get to live with him until we're older, " Dhani whined. He was already enticed by our son, and I love them both more than life itself.
"Hi Georgie, I'm your GrandPaul..."
" He's not calling you that. " I snapped. My Dad's natural pout became more prominent and he looked up at me. "No, Dad." I scolded him. Mum giggled and Dhani bit his lip to keep quiet.
Uncle George and Aunt Olivia walked in and their expressions already poured love out to this baby.
"Louise, are you sure that this isn't just a Dhani clone?" George inquired.
"I asked you if I even had a part in Dhani's genes," Olivia mumbled.
Skip a few months
"Kids, we can't keep this from you any longer," Dad spoke solemnly . "Your Mum has cancer."
We sat in shock, and cried. We stayed and cried in the living room until the dead of night.
A few more months
" Dhani, we're sorry we had to hide this from you, but I'm sick. " George explained. "I have throat cancer."
I patted his shoulder and handed Georgie to his Dad. He cried into my shoulder for ages. I only wish he'd been there to comfort me when my parents told us.

"Mum, you can't go. George won't remember his Granny." I sobbed .
"You and his granddaddy will make sure to tell him all about me, I just know it." She whispered . "I love you all, and I'll be smiling down from heaven"
November 29th, 2001
"Where are you going, Daddy?," George asked
" To visit Grandpa, " Dhani explained to a confused five year old.
He didn't come back until the next evening, his eyes red and puffy, paired with tear-stained cheeks. I pulled him to the couch and we hugged for a long night. He eventually fell asleep on my chest, leaving only a little space between him and my stomach.
This was a terrible time to be newly engaged, planning a wedding and two weeks pregnant.
I laid down on the couch opposite the sitting room from Dhani. He began to whine and cry in his sleep.
"Dad, don't go," he yelled.
I shook him awake and he looked up at me with sad brown eyes. Another tear rolled down his cheek. I wiped it away with my thumb and helped him to our bed. He curled into a little lump of himself and cried more.
"Anything I can do for you, honey?" I asked him.
" Indian tea would be nice, " he replied. I put a kettle on to boil and retrieved some teabags. Mr. Harrison loved Indian tea, and Dhani inherited his exotic tastes. He loves Indian food. I microwaved some leftover noodles and vegetables from the other day and brought him the meal. I had a plate for myself as well.
"You must eat, dear," I whispered as he poked at his plate. He took a small bite, letting a noodle hang out. He started to eat the noodle by slurping it in. I laughed, realizing how he was still a child at heart.
He sipped at his tea and his eyelids drooped. He finished everything and promptly fell asleep.
The next morning, he woke up and groggily mumbled in my ear, "I want to have another baby, Louise."
" Well, I guess you're in luck, " I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Wait are you..." He trailed off. I nodded. Tears gathered in his eyes.
" I know it's kind of a bad time, and I was going to try to keep it from you because of everything going on... "
"I love you, Linda Louise McCartney," He cooed.
" I love you too, Dhani Harrison, " I replied.
January 19th
"You may now kiss the bride," the pastor announced, but before he could finish, Dhani had already dipped me back and kissed me. Our ceremony was small, being my siblings, George, my Dad and his Mum, so we just went home.
We decided to wait another month to tell them, but I think Olivia knows.
We arrived in our large house out fathers had bought for us. George wanted for us to have plenty of outdoor space and Dad wanted space for us to put his 'loads of grandkids'. He cracks me up.
February 2nd
We told them. I told my professors at nursing school and my Dad, siblings, and Olivia. I was to graduate in May, and then I'd have the baby and wait a bit, then get a job. Dhani was focusing on music, and we somehow supported George and the growing life inside of me.
Dad was overjoyed, as was Olivia, and my sisters. James made an inappropriate joke, but congratulated us on baby number two.
May 17th
I walked across the platform to receive my diploma and I cradled my swollen torso in my arms. To do list: Make sure Dhani can't do this to me again. I love him and our kids to the end of the earth, but I can't say the same about being pregnant.
September 10th
"Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, welcome your little girl to the world," the doctor beamed. I held her close and whispered , "I love you, Linda."
"Can I hold Lin before Paul steals her?" Dhani inquired. I sighed and passed our little girl to him, just minutes before Dad came in. Dhani audibly groaned.
"Shush, you get to live with her, and he doesn't," I comforted. " you can hug the other Linda Louise Harrison, though. I want cuddles. " I explained.
"Okay," he whined as he awkwardly tried to cuddle me without hurting me.
"I want another, Lou," Dhani said.
"Ask me again in a few years," I replied . Both he and Dad began to pout, wanting more babies.
"Dad, ask Heather or Mary or Stella or James. They are also your children and can give you grandkids." I sassed.
" I regret being sassy around you when you were impressionable, " he sighed.
A few years later
I was about to head out the door to go to my job as a nurse at a cancer treatment facility, when I heard a crash and Dhani screaming.
"What's wrong?" I called into the other room.
" Lin just puked, we're okay! " He shouted. I chuckled and kissed them both.
"I love you," I whispered in Dhani's ear. His brown eyes twinkled as I spoke. "And by the way," I said, looking into Linda's hazel eyes, " I'm pregnant again. The doctor thinks they're twins. "
His jaw was literally on the floor.
A few years later
Dhani tried to corral the kids for our Christmas photo in the garden. George and Linda each had a twin in their arms and the little tots were fussy and restless.
George had James and Linda had Lennon. They were perfect with their brown hair, bright smiled and pretty brown or hazel eyes. James has hazel and Leni has brown.
Dhani set the timer on our camera and wrapped his arms around me and the boys and I did the same to the girls. My boy so little family was perfect in every way and I wouldn't trade them for the whole world.
