Happy Birthday George
I knocked on George Harrison's door on February 25th, 1959, holding a card and a cake I baked. Bought. Same thing right? My neighbor's a baker and she made it in her home\shoppe, and I taste tested. I helped.
George's mum opened the door and beamed, "Oh, Y\N, you've brought our sweet Georgie a cake. You'll be such a wonderful daughter in law."
" Mrs. Harrison, George and I aren't dating. We're just friends. " I explained for the millionth time.
"I see the way you two look at each other, and with how much time you spend with one another, it's bound to happen." She trailed on.
I found my way to George's room and called for him, "George, I got you a surprise!" He crashed into the hallway and tilted his head, wondering where said surprise was. "Your things are on the table."
He raced in to find a vanilla cake with 'Happy Birthday Georgie' in big looping letters.
"Did you have to use Mum's nickname for me?" He complained
I grinned smugly and nodded. He took a piece, no, a half of the cake and started practically inhaling it. I started to laugh hysterically.
"Want some?" He mumbled, his mouth full.
" Sur-" he cut me off by kissing me with a mouthful of cake.
"Romantic" I sassed. He blushed as we both noticed his Mum in the doorway, grinning.
As she sprinted to see her husband, George picked up his colorfully wrapped parcels and tore back the wrapping paper. His eyes widened as he saw the Buddy Holly record and some guitar tablature on paper to play a few of his favorite songs.
"Thank you, Y\N. I love you." He whispered.
"You still have a card, and I love you too, " I ended my sentence by kissing him on his nose. He tore the envelope open and saw my cheesy drawing of a stick figure Geo and a badly drawn guitar.
"This is perfect," he sighed. I blushed and his parents entered the room.
"I told you, Harold Hargreaves Harrison." Louise pridefully exclaimed. She was right all along.
