Kate's Pov

"DONT COME ANY CLOSER!!! I'LL SHOOT!!!" The man threatened as held his gun towards the side of her wife's head, as his 8-year- old son tried to escape from his father's tight grasp, tears flowing from his eyes.

My hands shook as I aimed my gun at him, beads of sweat started to fall from my forehead from the pressure I was going through. I want everyone to get out of this situation...alive...but I need to persuade him to let go the hostages. I can tell they've been through a lot due to their bruises covering one side of their arm, It makes me sad to think  that some families are like this.

I huffed and slowly layed my gun down on the floor.

"I'm not going to hurt you," I said calmly, raising my hands up to the air.

He glared at me, it looks like he didn't looked convinced. 

"We can settle this situation peacefully, but first you need to put your gun down and set the hostages free." I then started to walk up to him in a very slow pace, trying to look and stay calm as possible.

He pointed his gun at me, making me stop a few feet away from him.

"Lower your gun, I'm here to help," I semi- whispered.

He lowered it a bit but got  intruppted by Ashley tackling him to the ground, he tried to fight back, but she was much stronger than the abusive father. She forced his arms to go behind his back and cuffed him.

"You're under fucking arrest," Ashley smirked to herself.

I began to escort the hostages to an ambulance that was waiting for them to heal their wounds. The mother began to say 'Thank you' over and over, clutching my hand as tears of joy filled her eyes.

I smiled and shrugged. "Just doing my job."

Her son began to embrace a hug to Ashley, but looking at her expression, she looked uncomfortable. I chuckled, we might be here for a while.

*Timeskip :P*

As Ashley and I entered the station, I began to run towards Hank's desk filled with joy.

"HANK! HANK! HANK!" I yelled as I began to poke him over and over at his sleeping state.

He groaned as he kept his head down to his desk.

"What the fuck do you want?"

"I HAVE FINALLY SAVED ANOTHER PERSONS LIFE WITHOUT YOUR HELP!!!,"I squealed.

"Keep your voice down, it's getting higher than usual."

"Sorry, sir."

Then Ashley started walk in, tiredly.

"Have you've been sleeping? You look like shit." Hank commented

"I don't like to sleep. Anyways, I was told that tomorrow we going to be assigned with a android that will help us with our next case, figuring out what is causing the androids to start to have emotions and do some crazy shit."

"Well...fuck me...," Hank mumbled.

"I don't like this as much as you do."

" Well I think this is a good thing...right? I mean...deviants are unpredictable that can do unspeakable things, their faster, stronger, and smarter than us. If we had an android by our side, things will start to get easier...right? Besides, it can't be that bad." I stated, with a smile.

Ashley sighed. "Y'know this is rare for me to say but...she kinda has a point but I'm not saying that to support her statement."

I placed my hand towards my chest and tears of joy started to form in my blue- orbed eyes.

"That's probably the nicest thing you have said to me."

"Oh shit really? What I said was an accident, I was supposed to make you feel depressed and feel like shit, my bad."

"Well guess what, I already ready feel like shit but the part where I was supposed to be depressed...That's going to a tough one for you... " I shrugged.

Ashley then grabbed the collar of my blouse and pulled me close to her face, as Hank slowly walked out of the situation.

"Listen here Blu, No one can be happy for this long, everyone has their breaking point, and I mean EVERYONE!"

"Even androids?" I asked, still smiling.

Ashley froze and thought about it for a minute until someone started to tap on her shoulder. She then let her grip from me go and turned to the person behind her, ready to snap, but as soon Ashley saw his LED on the side of his face, she stared at him, confused.

"My name is Connor. An android sent by CyberLife."

Ashley's POV
I glared at the android as Kate looked at the two of us nervously smiling, wanting to break the ice.

"I'm Detective Blu, but you can call me Kate," She held out her hand as Connor shook it. "And this is my partner, Detective Valentine. She can be a bit hot-headed."

Connor blankly stared at me as I stared back, trying to make him uncomfortable. Wait...Wait...Wait...hold up... It's an android, it doesn't have fucking feelings. I mentally face-palmed myself.

It tilted it's head a bit and then it turned to Kate.

"I have never seen a human this short before."

She then started to burst out laughing as my face grew red out of embarrassment.

"Bitch!!!!," I yelled at the android.

I felt steam come out of my ears as I stormed off the police department, looking for hank. I need to get some new friends...no...a new life...

Kate's POV
I then kept on wheezing as I threw my self to the floor, holding my stomach.

"Did I do something wrong?" Connor asked.

I kept on laughing as my eyes started to get all watery but then I started to choke on my own spit. Connor watched me as I began to cough like there's no tomorrow, he looked like he was analyzing me.

"You appear to be choking."
