Crow was dragging Charlotte by the net she was entangled in through the shadows.
Crow was lucky that they even trusted enough to practically hand her a static.
Ever since she tried to kill Praisor getting inside Ganxer's house has been most difficult.
Charlotte was struggling, but Crow kept her hold.
She eventually made it to her lair.
Charlotte was thrown to the floor, and Charlotte throw the net off of her before hissing at Crow.
Crow pushed a button and Charlotte's breathing got heavy.
"Now now, you are in my turf now. Cooperate and I will turn back on the oxygen in this room..."
Charlotte continued to give Crow an intimidating look before she fell to her knees.
"Running low on oxygen?"
"Don't you breath as well...?"
"I don't need oxygen to survive like you do."
"Then what do you require to live?"
"Like I would tell you. Come now, behave yourself, there is only so much oxygen in here are you are wasting it with every breath"
Charlotte seemed to think for a moment for before slowing her breathing.
"Smart, but it isn't going to last." Crow was fixing her glove sleeves, seeming to be waiting.
Charlotte tried to look around for a place to escape.
"No exit, I'm your only shot. Nod your head if you want to get out here conscious, if not, feel free to collapse in the floor."
Charlotte nodded her head, not seeing any other options. Crow pushed a button and Charlotte took a deep breath of air to catch up on breathing.
"Come along then," she walked towards the wall and a door opened up.
Charlotte coughed, "Has that been there the whole time?"
"Not very observation, huh? That adds points."
She rolled her eyes, "I'm guessing points aren't good?"
"First observation you've made that will actually help you."
Charlotte got up and caught up with Crow.
She tried to find some way to attack Crow, but without her extended limbs.
Crow continued to walk.
"Keep up."
Crow walked ahead of Charlotte.
Charlotte saw this as an opening, and she jumped onto Crow and bit into Crow shoulder.
Before Charlotte could even get close to bitting Crow, she was thrown to the floor.
"Oh, I guess I forgot to introduce you to my sidekick."
A small static was standing next to Crow, their static was loud and fuzzy, and they were staring dead at Charlotte.
She pat them on the head.
"They don't like newcomers."
Charlotte looked at the static, "Yeah.. I can see that..."
Crow shrugged them off, "Don't worry, you won't be here long."
Charlotte picked herself up and walked past the static cautious, it glare was as sharp as knives.
Charlotte followed along, it seemed like she was in a hallway, doors came up every now and again but it seemed like they were going in a loop.
"Where are we going?" Charlotte broke the silence.
"Some place to make you better."
"That's not ominous in any way."
Crow turned into a room where the door was already open.
"Get on the chair." Crow said harshly.
"The chair? How is that going to help?"
"Just get in the chair."
Charlotte sat down on the chair and as she did that static peeked in at looked at Crow.
The static said a weird jumble of sounds that didn't sound like static.
Crow looked at them, what they said definitely irritated her, because her eyes flashed green.
Crow took a breath, "No, No One, I am not giving her that treatment... You can go now."
No-One looked at Crow for a moment before slowing nodding their head and walking away.
Charlotte watched them for a moment. "What did they say?"
Crow shock her head before walking up to Charlotte, "Nothing important."
Crow got closer and was about to tie Charlotte in.
Charlotte headbutted Crow, and tried to make a run for it, only to find her legs were already tied to the chair with a material she couldn't free herself from.
Crow turned to Charlotte, the glass on her mask was shattered and her beak was crumpled.
"... Rude.. Now I am going to need to make myself a new mask..."
Charlotte laughed, " Please, you almost look better now," Charlotte said stalling to try and find a way out.
Crow removed her mask and took a breath. " Its been some time since I have removed my mask, I hate how bright this world is..."
Charlotte struggled to get free, but failed.
"Alright, up we go." Crow dragged Charlotte onto the the chair upright where she secured Charlotte's wrists.
Charlotte gave up on struggling. "I thought you weren't going to kill me."
"I'm not," Crow was arranging a variety of chemicals, "You and Narrator are just two side of the same coin... so... it is a little difficult to separate you two. However with the right amount of Hydrogen and Carbon, we can find equilibrium and mellow out all of.... you. There is a formula that quite literally rips you from her."
"Sounds.. fun."
"Quite the opposite."
"...."
"It will feel like you will be being torn into the felt of the universe and being stabbed at the same time."
"You are awful."
"Did you want me to lie to you to make it seem better?"
"That definitely would've been preferred..."
"Well..." She tapped the side of a needle that had some liquid in it, "Too late now. Anyways are you ready?" She looked at Charlotte dully.
"Am I going home after this..?"
Crow approached Charlotte.
"Crow...?"
"Narrator is only going home, but only because she left me off on good terms and we are friends. You, Charlotte, are only a vermin, invading on my friends space. So if you are asking if you are going back to your life above, that's not going to happen."
Crow got closer and was about to jab Charlotte.
"Would Noise agree with what you've become now?" Charlotte said in a rush, not knowing what to say.
Crow froze.
"Excuse me..?"
"Noise, have you forgot about them? Your first actually working thingamabob, as you called them."
It seemed like Charlotte touched a nerve.
"Noise, is dead to me, they didn't live up to their expectation and only made life worse."
"Wait but maybe if you just-"
Crow stabbed the syringe into their head.
"ACK-"
Almost immediately Charlotte began to disintegrate.
Charlotte tried to lift her hand up to her head to ease the pain, but her wrists were still tied to the chair.
Charlotte screamed out, the pain was exactly as Crow described, she felt herself being torn into the felt of the universe.
Crow gave a low growl before going back to her pedestal to more chemicals.
All Charlotte could feel was pain.
Charlotte seemed to go empty and blacked out.
"Finally! That static is really loud..."
___
Charlotte woke up, she was still tied to the chair, she felt strangely empty.
She could hear noises, by everything was bright and everything hurt, so just just laid in the chair and kept her eyes closed.
She felt a poke of a syringe and going into fight or flight, she opened her eye, she couldn't see though, her static was going over her eye.
Crow wiped away the static that was covering her eyes, both of them. She was wearing a mask again.
Charlotte glanced at Crow.
"Relax, you are done."
"Where's-"
"Narrator is safe, all went well."
"And I am still alive... You aren't going to return me to Sam, what are you going to do with me..?"
"As of right now, I would like to send you to Prane. Me and him are not on the best of relations and a hotspot static with no host would be the acme of his collection, he might even let me back into his turf."
"You're sending me back to the statics...?"
"Well I already have my own little static running around, I don't need another."
Charlotte was quiet.
"So, lets get you all dolled then."
