I saw Split yesterday and I really enjoyed it

Like, I saw that people were boycotting it on Tumblr so I was weary about it but I went and saw it anyway and it turned out to actually be good. The more I think about it the more I like it

I can't go into details about it because I'm not into the medical terms or up to date or know anything about DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) but the movie seemed to actually empower the mental illness.

Hear me out like,

It showed how someone can truly struggle with DID and how the other personalities can take over and rule over you. It showed how some of them fought to keep the actual person with the disorder safe. Like, idk it may sound stupid but I thought the movie was good and you can tell how bigoted I am or whatever, but I truly don't know anything about mental disorders other than the common ones and even that's a bit vague. I don't know anything outside of OCD, ADD, ADHD, PTSD, depression and anxiety. So if I like messed something up or whatever please tell me because I want to know.
