A/N: Yes, I've FINALLY watched the Steven Universe Movie. Giving me the chance to review it.

Pros:

*All The Songs in this film are amazing.

*Seeing Steven finally age helps to show his character growing in a more physical way. Plus, his design as 16 is a cool new design.

*The Diamonds were actually kinda funny in the beginning part of the film when they beg Steven to stay at homeworld.

*The quick moment between Steven and Connie was cute.

*Spinel was an awesome, fun and kinda cute villain for the film. 

*There's a nice step up in the Animation in a few places.

*Steven's powers not working correctly in the film help give more weight on the situation.

*The Character's forgetting who they are and Steven having to work to regain their memories also help give more weight in the situation of the film.

*Sapphire's commentary on the events going on in regards to a saw Spinel activated was kinda funny a bit.

*The new Fusion between Steven and his dad looked really cool.

*Spinel's backstory was a very depressing story. Especially since she wanted to do was entertain Pink.

*Even After Spinel gets her memories back and it seemed like Steven was able to reform her after the ejector was lifted from the earth. We see Spinel start getting saddened and hurt because she sees steven focused on now trying to get Garnet back as well as his powers. And after she saw the Gem Rejuvenator in his hands, she goes right back to her old self from the start of the film. It was really tension building as we see her get more and more paranoid and frustrated up to that point.

*The Final Battle was intense, emotional and even dark in a few places. It also felt a bit anime like.

*Spinel going off with the Diamonds really gives some happiness for Spinel that she deserves.

*The final song of the film where it seem likes a play seemed like a nice touch to end the movie on.

Cons:

*What Pink Diamond did to Spinel was just kinda cruel to pull.

This Movie was fantastic. 9/10 (and that's not even just me, that's the scoring I've been seeing from others as well). 

And honestly, this film also reminded me what it is I love about Steven Universe. Not just for it's somewhat simplistic art style, how well it writes it's characters as well as entertaining story lines. But, because Steven Universe has been about Redemption. About how people can make all kinds of mistakes and learn and grow from said mistakes. And this film does good at following the classic Steven Universe formula while also still taking chances of doing something new.

If we ever get Season 6, I definitely look forward to see where they'll take the characters and the story next.
